    Your guidance is great, however I let the dough rest for 24 hours refrigerated to enhance the flavours in the dough. This eliminates the need to fold the dough over constantly. Nice video!

      How do you deal with the dough after it’s been refrigerated?

    • @indoorgardeningguy1668
      @indoorgardeningguy1668 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@debbieanne860 Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before handling. Then move it to the oiled cast iron pan. I always flatten the dough into a circle just smaller than the cast iron pan. Then it is easy to stretch a bit more in the pan.

      @@indoorgardeningguy1668 I roll it out on a cutting board bigger than the pan and then cram it in so the outer edges end up with more dough 😋

      I do the same thing. The dough actually ferments a tiny bit at that point in time and imparts a nice flavor to it

    Love that you use a Swedish juniperwood butter"knife" for stirring

    I just pulled a pizza (your recipe) out of the oven. It smells so good. My family is standing around like vultures waiting for me to cut into it. They haven’t even tasted it and has already reminded me to save this recipe.

    Is the crust crispy on the bottom?

    Good directions, and a good looking product but I dont have half a Saturday to make a pizza.

    Your dough looks a little dry. I think it needs a bit more water based on your slap & fold segment.
    I like your pizza sauce recipe.

    Any chance you could go to the frozen dough section and get frozen pizza dough? Sure yours is better but who’s got the time. I’ve done that and it’s good too, just not as good. One recipe starts with the pan preheated,crisps the crust nicely.

      Sure. I buy frozen dough occasionally - they make decent pizzas. Thanks for the feedback.

    My wife asked me if I would be interested in trying pizza like this. I told her "I would buy you a separate iron skillet just for making pizza this way".
    She laughed and said we already have several iron skillets. I said "Don't care, i'll get you one just to make pizza".

    Pretty long drawn out process for something as simple as a pizza. Try a simple single rise dough and a stone or a pizza pan. Makes a much better pizza.

      single dough rise aside, the point of the video is to make pizza in a cast iron pan. Which is delicious. If you prefer pizza on a stone or pizza pan, great! That kind of pizza is also delicious. But then this video isn't for you and you should consider removing the stick that's lodged in your ass.
