- In this video, I share my results after following the Starting Strength program for 12 months. I'll discuss my progress, challenges, and key takeaways from a year of dedicated training. Whether you're considering Starting Strength or looking for motivation, this video offers a detailed look at what you can achieve with consistency and effort.
Thanks I’m also a beginner with 215 squat 225 deadlift and 150 bench , I will be back in one year with stronger 😭🙏
Solid work, man. Couple tips: to avoid that blacking out feeling, manually hyperventilate 15s before lifting. And consider moving to a 2-day split.
Great improvements, love to see the progress man
This is a great video! I did Starting Strength from January to May in 2023. Took my squat from 225 to 405 single, bench 185 to 275, deadlift 225 to 450. I actually had the opposite mentality when doing the program. I was excited to lift more and more each time I hit the gym. I also went to a self sustained lifter training in Texas with Rip.
That's amazing! I've been really considering attending one of Rip's seminars in Wichita Falls. It looks like so much fun!
@@aaronmansoor it was!
Nice work! Wish I could go back in time and do SS when I started.
Doing it now years later just cause I’ve never done it, and want to see how much strength I can get back 💪🏻
this video is great your very underrated
Thanks man I really appreciate it!!
Great job!
Thanks for the video. What app do you use to track your set, reps and progress? Do you track nutrition and macros as well?
I use the app Fitbod. Been using it long before starting strength just to track workouts and to help me calculate what to put on the barbell.
I used to track nutrition and macros a few years ago but haven’t in a while. Just try to eat as best I can and not worry too much about calories or macros. More fun way to live!
@@aaronmansoor thanks. That’s what I was thinking. I use the Fitbod app too. Also been using it for a long time. How do you set it up to give you specific lifts and weights instead of random pull/ push or upper/ lower splits though?
@@traviscrum1462 you can create and save templates! I just click the template every time I start a lift and change the generated weights to what I’m lifting that day!
Thanks for sharing your experience bro.
Im at 108kg bw and have a 75kg squat 95kg deadlift etc. im running the program now
Good luck, you got it!!
@@aaronmansoor thanks aaron
love it
what app do you use to track progress?
Iv been using Fitbod since 2017. I can save my lifts and see the history/ progress very well. Plus it makes calculating what I need to put on the bar super easy!
