When I studied at the University of Montreal, a friend of mine was of Romanian origin. She made me this type of coffee you drank, Turkish coffee, then in the end we turned our cups upside down for a few moments and repositioned them in place. That’s when she was reading the future in the coffee grounds. I doubt that my cup was as compliant as hers as I had added so much sugar in it. But anyway, we had a lot of fun together and this memory remained very sweet to me.
You guys are so brave to take your little home on wheels and the kitties to all these different countries. Very exciting and adventurous. I love going along with you.
You always make it to the best places! Imagine that, after all those narrow roads and no place to park...you arrive at that beautiful spot + you have a place to drink hot coffee, sit and experience your first Montenegro sunset! 😊❤ See you wednesday!
My maternal grandfather and ancestors before him were from Montenegro and I’ve only ever heard about it as my Grandfather came to the US when he was young. I’m excited to see the country as you travel through it!
Yes we do use iOverlander in Europe all the time, please do add info as you go. The reason there aren’t so many camping spots is that they get over used then the no overnight camping signs go up. There are spots in Montenegro just go inland. It’s great how your American vehicle draws attention in Europe, we found the same with our U.K. camper in the USA, we met lots of lovely people because of it. Love that bit round the lake in Montenegro, strike inland at the far end.
Those Florida plates must start many a conversation😎 I must I admit I am a bit envious of all the different people you get to meet on your great journey. Safe travels and beautiful views from GA USA 🧘🙏🌎☮
When I heard Montenegro it reminded me of Shawshank Redemption, Andy telling Red that that’s where he’d go if he ever got out of prison. Obviously, a different part of the world. The roads in Montenegro remind me of the narrow roads of Bermuda. I’ve been to Europe, but not the Balkans. I love the beauty of the coast. Thanks for taking us along.
Croatia and Montenegro are fantastic drive in the coast. If you go Macedonia I recommend, Ohrid, right in a beautiful lake. If you keeping drive all the way to Bulgaria there are a lots things to see there; I recommend Plovid, has a very well preserved Roman ruins and Rila monastery in the mountains. Safe travel. I enjoying very much your videos. Obrigado
Hello from Greece, when I travel and cannot find a parking, we always ask the police or owners of shops or restaurants, they know the places. Croatia was very interesting and Montenegro looks beautiful too, greetings from Kos
I can’t believe how time flies watching your travels!! Happy your border crossings went so well. I’d be so nervous handing I’ve my passport. Very glad you are settled into a nice camp site and were able to taste Turkish unfiltered coffee. I enjoyed Greek unfiltered coffee when I visited that country. Very tasty for sure. Can’t wait for your next video. Thank you so much for taking the time to send us videos to enjoy. God bless your journey always.
Montenegro was our favourite part of the trip in the fall - that bay is STUNNING, and we stayed in a small BnB directly by the water. Awesome. As you leave Kotor, things will get decidedly more "Soviet relic" in nature - much less European. Less English, less product availability, less tourist friendly. But authentic, and beautiful.
Curt gets the gold medal for tight road driving…😂 I am with Snow makes me so nervous to see you maneuver around these tiny little streets. But you do a fantastic job, my hats off to you, and again thank you for taking us along on your beautiful journey. Stay safe and Keep on sharing the beauty. thank you.
Wow it's absolutely beautiful water of the bay!!! Sometimes I hold my breath when you guys go through the narrow roads but both of you are great drivers!!! THANKS GUYS FOR SHARING ❤ CHEERS GUY'S 🍻 👏 ✌️ 👍
Good morning Snow and Curt ☀️ I love how you two make friends wherever you go. It says a lot about who you guys are and how you treat everyone 🥰 Snow, I was thinking something similar when you mentioned yours and Curt's ways of handling different situations. Your right, it's the perfect balance. I need to be more like you and have a bit more patience 🤪 Have to say, that's one fine overnight spot you found. Your view is stunning, and that Bay WOW! I imagine that the sunset is going to be something else over those hills and water. The water looks so inviting, you'd almost want to dive in. However, it's probably a bit too chilly at this time of year. Looking forward to seeing what you kids get up to in your new country. Safe travels, 🤗🇨🇦🙏
In a way, it was good that the other camping spots were closed, because the one that was open, was the most beautiful of the bunch. Montenegro looks lovely so far. Looking forward to learning more about this Country. I enjoy Snow’s narratives about each place, her voice is pleasant and the information is always interesting. I’ve really gotten the travel bug from seeing your journeys. Hope to begin my own soon. Love, peace, and blessings to you.
I agree, I always look forward to Snow's informative and sometimes historic narratives. I also enjoy getting a peek at the inside of shops and meeting people.
Oh my I LOVE the place you guys ended up, it's so quaint, it looks so peaceful. Prayers for traveling mercies and great health and amazing heart memories!!
wow wish i could have tasted the coffee that sounds interesting I LOVE coffee lol Someday I am traveling around the world to drink coffee in every country that has it and keeping a coffee journal on it all 💖
What an adventure..Im from the UK and live in France but Im really looking forward to the eastern Europe arm of the journey..Your videos pop up in quite a few of my conversations these days too, if anyone wants to know about travelling I mention you guys! safe travels!
Have you thought about writing ebooks for purchase covering van travel in Latin America and then Europe? There is so much to know and having an ebook reference would be so helpful for us future travelers. I bet ebooks would also interest any traveler going to the same areas you have explored! Love your channel ❤️
Thank you for sharing your travels and journey. The footage of where you are traveling is always interesting especially seeing how people live and taking in the many roads and views.
I was there just before Covid and just loved it. So many steps every where. It’s so beautiful. Also went to Montenegro while there and really loved it.
Your videography is super! I have become an armchair traveler through you folks! Beautiful view of Montenegro and Croatia ❤ your Adventures are classic!
So it’s 90 on and 90 off, but if your out a week you can go back for a week, right? May I suggest you use that to visit Turkey? It’s big enough to spend a few months, rich with history and beautiful. You can offgrid many places. If you plan to swing by Spain and then Portugal via the south, after the summer, you could take the 45 min ferry to Morocco and come back for Portugal a few months later.
@@SnowAndCurt we did Morocco a year ago and are now in Turkey. Lovely people! We travel with our airstream 350le, roads aren’t that small. But we’re Dutch.
Montenegro is really beautiful! In the city center of Kotor there are a lot of cats! It’s also called the cat city. I loved it. I would also recommend Bosnia for a visit. It’s really beautiful, easy for vanlife and a lot cheaper then Croatia and Montenegro. And it is as stunningly beautiful! I went there a few year ago and I absolutely loved it and would like to go back there again.
Again the Views! Everything look new built and clean. That water color is so inviting. I read many warnings about camping there. The main city area has some crime against campers. I think you found one of the best places to camp but are at end of the town. I think there is another great place inland next to a forest that will have camping. Best of luck.
Good morning! Every Saturday it's coffee and Snow and Curt. That's a beautiful town you are in. I know you like to surprise us but how soon will you be in Switzerland? Austria?
I loved the moment you found the camping spot with coffee. It’s gorgeous. Felt like i was there with you! Snow I am the same as you with being a nervous nelly on the road in the van when spots are tight and roads are narrow.
Boy this was an absolutely stunning video. What a beautiful area. I never knew that part of the world looked like this. It's gorgeous. I'm sure the interior is less so , but oh my goodness , this is so beautiful. I'm loving seeing the rest of the world through your eyes. So I imagine you can go to UK and Ireland and Scotland for 90 days after you do the next 90 day. Turn, that's kind of crazy though. For people who actually want to take 6 months and just travel. But oh well , you're doing good.
@@carolsdarksarcasm4223 Schengen is a small town in Luxembourg where the Schengen agreement was signed. The Schengen agreement is an agreement allowing for free travel without any border controls between most EU and some non-EU countries. Travelers that are not citizens or residents of a country that is party to the Schengen agreement are only allowed a total of 90 days in the zone in each 180 days period. The fact that Romania and Bulgaria is joining the zone at the end of March could potentially be a challenge to travelers who were planning to be in these countries to accumulate new Schengen allowance days.
Another fascinating video. I so grateful to get a boots on the ground view of the eastern block countries. Montenegro looks better than Croatia. I heard good things! 👏 Are things less expensive? Friendly to westerners?? Love the Turkish coffee. ❤ buzz!! I’m so happy for you.
Question !!!! Snow & Curt -- Do you have a language translator app on your phones? You know, where you can ask a question in English and the app will speak the other person's language to them.
Yes we do have the Google Translator and we use it quite frequently. But it can be cumbersome so not something you can always count on depending on who you are communicating with.🍻😎☮️🙏
LOL It's like the coffee in Greece!! Drink the first half of the cup and chew the second half. It's amazing and special! You explained that visa guidelines say you need to leave for 90 days but did not say for how long before you can return?
I will leap in, if you are from outside Schengen zone (eg US or UK folk) you can stay for 90 days max in the zone in any 180 day period. It’s a rolling period. It makes it quite hard to keep track of but there really lots of online calculators. So if they have stayed the full 90 days in a block immediately up to today, they must stay out for 90 days before re-entering Schengen zone.
Thank you Kurt & Snow for your attention to share your 31 countries journey !
Good bless you guys!
Our pleasure!
Glad you found a sweet spot in Montenegro . Love how you do your homework. Much appreciated as a viewer.😍
