Luke 8:39 "'Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee.' And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him." Jesus' own words to the man he delivered from the legion. Yes, I am familiar with the many times Jesus said to not tell anyone. And t hose times were before he was ready to reveal Himself. Now, is it a command to tell people what God has done? No. But obviously it isn't forbidden. Just because someone is giving their testimony of what god has done for them doesn't automatically mean they are somehow boasting of themselves. Sounds to me that you're nitpicking the parts you don't agree with while ignoring, yourself, the part where he got away from those sins. As a Christian, being baptized into the body of Christ, I agree with most of what you have taught on your show over the years. I was introduced to your TH-cam channel and I've watched a number of your videos. And a lot of it has changed my mind on many things and has challenged me on many of my former beliefs and to download the Power Bible program and I use it a ton and have done studies myself on what the Bible says. And I do give you some appreciation for that. But you talk to people with a cold mouth and therefore a cold heart. Yes, the truth is the truth and I get that. But you talk to and about people no different than a bunch of gossiping women at the hair salon. Like you have a chip on your shoulders. Now, good sir, I do believe you have a good heart for both God and man. I don't think you would be doing what you do if you didn't. And granted, this video is a number of years old. But there's three ways to deliver truth to people. One is plain truth, by itself. All of it. One is with with love and compassion. And one is with manure on it. Yeah, even the truth if a terrible attitude is still truth but it turns people away and it's not as God intended. I've not been able to see many of your newest videos. It seems you may have a lot going on right now that you can't make a whole lot of content. But much of your much older content, at least, is very bitter and it is causing people to stumble. I do hope that as you've gotten older from these older videos, that you've realized that eve though you may have had the best of intentions, you had your efforts coated with bitterness and have repented from that. Now, the whole point of giving one's testimony is to show people that they, too, CAN get out and away from their struggles and sins. And either you believe that it's by the strength of God that He's given such people or you believe that we're on our own to fend for ourselves and that God really isn't with us at all. We might as well be in the 480-something years before Christ came and was crucified when God wasn't with the Jews. God is either with us or He isn't. And if He isn't then of course many won't believe the Bible. I do, of course, but why should anybody else? Yes, there's still a ton that I don't know but as of right now, I do not believe that the Holy Spirit isn't working in people's lives. I truly hope He is because if He isn't then everything that's been done is by our own strength and not of God anyway. And it it's not God's doing, and it really is our own doing, then one may have to say that we deserve the credit. And I don't think that's right at all. Again, I may be wrong on all that. But I just can't see God leaving us to by ourselves. No, I don't believe in modern-day Apostles or prophets or miracle workers/faith healers etc. But I have seen people lose their taste for drugs and alcohol instantly. And while I can't prove it, I KNOW God saved my life when the devil tried to take it. And yes, in an instant. And I don't need anybody else's approval to know it's the truth no more than I need anybody else's approval to know the Bible is the truth. God's glory didn't stop with the authors of the Bible. He still works. He's still in control. He's still God. And we ought to stop acting like God is done doing things in people's lives.

      Answer:
"Work" is one of those generic, multipurpose words. Most people wouldn't have trouble figuring out what is a work, if it wasn't for the fad in many denominations to say that "works" are bad. A work is anything that you put effort into doing.
Not all works are the same. There are multiple kinds of works:
There are works of God (John 6:28-29; 9:3-4)
There are works of the devil (I John 3:8)
There are works of man’s hands (Acts 7:41)
There are works of the Law (Romans 3:20, 27-28; Galatians 2:16)
There are good works (Ephesians 2:10; I Timothy 2:9-10)
There are dead works (Hebrews 6:1)
Is reading your Bible a work? Yes. It takes effort on your part to do it. However, it doesn't mean it is wrong. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Timothy 2:15). All the Bible reading in the world won't earn your way into heaven, but then refusal to read your Bible can keep you out of heaven because you would be refusing to obey God's command.
Is giving to the poor a work? Yes. It takes effort on your part to do it. "He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given" (Proverbs 19:17). It won't earn your way into heaven, but it is what God expects His people to do.
Is praying a work? Yes. It takes effort on your part to pray. "For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God, night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?" (I Thessalonians 3:9-10). Praying won't earn your way into heaven, but without prayer you won't be there.
We don't often think in this way, but even faith is a work. "Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent"" (John 6:28-29). The point is that faith doesn't just happen. You choose to trust God, and often that takes some effort on our part. That is why faith is commanded of men. "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6). You cannot command something that the other person cannot do. God commands faith, we respond with faith, therefore we are doing a work of God.
"He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?" So he answered and said," 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'" And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live"" (Luke 10:26-28). We tend to think of works as only physical actions, but notice that God commanded men to love Him, and Jesus said is is something to be done. Though it is an attitude, we need to realize that love isn't automatic. It comes about through conscious effort on our part.
Of course, sinning also takes effort on the part of the sinner. So we need to distinguish between good works and bad works, and that is what the Bible teaches us. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).
When Paul says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:9-10), he is reminding us that we cannot earn our way into salvation. We cannot do so many good works that God owes us salvation. Salvation is always a gift given to us that is beyond what we deserve. But the ones God chooses to give this gift to are those who obey him. "If you love Me, keep My commandments. ... He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me" (John 14:15, 21-24). How does God distinguish between who will be saved and who will not? By their obedience that comes from their love of God.
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad" (II Corinthians 5:10).

Like many "Christians" today, Satan believes Jesus died on the cross, but not for HIS sins. He believes Jesus has risen, but not for HIS eternal life.
Satan believes the event of the cross but never put his trust in Christ's finished work for salvation.
Salvation is not: Believing there is a God. (Satan believes that)
Salvation is not: Believing Christ was the Messiah. (Satan believes that)
Salvation is not even... Believing Christ died, was buried and rose the third day. (Satan believes that also)
Salvation is: Believing Christ died for YOUR EVERY SIN and trusting that He rose to give you eternal life IN HIM!
Something Satan and most Christians want no part of because of their PRIDE!
If denominationalists truly believed Christ forgave their sins, they wouldn't spend so much time trying to GET them forgiven.
One tells you to pray for forgiveness.
One tells you to confess for forgiveness.
One tells you to believe for forgiveness.
One tells you to repent for forgiveness.
One tells you to be baptized for forgiveness.
And keep in mind, all of these folk with a straight face will tell you Christ DIED for your sins. Welcome to Nutsville!!! I think Dorothy got lost on the yellow brick road.
Today I unapologetically proclaim that there is only one way to be saved, and it has nothing to do with getting your sins forgiven. Salvations through FAITH. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Salvation comes to those who are ready to give up on THEIR performance and rest their faith in JESUS' performance.
The path to salvation is narrow. SO narrow that nothing you do will fit.
Satan will never be saved for the same reason he was kicked out of heaven. P-R-I-D-E. (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Read carefully and count how many times he says "I".
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
    Satan is obviously a Narcissist!
Like a vain person in front of the mirror, five times in only three verses he boasts of himself. Pride keeps Satan from being saved as it does most of the world. They have fallen victim to SELFIANITY and are incapable of letting go and letting God. Incapable of taking their filthy hands off their salvation and allowing God to save them by HIS finished work!
If you say --- "I said a prayer for forgiveness." "I confessed for forgiveness." "I believed for forgiveness." "I repented for forgiveness." "I was baptized for forgiveness."
Then sadly you have fallen for the five I's just like Satan.
Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, it's believing they already ARE!
To be saved, you must first get "I" out of the way.
You only get two educations, the one you're given and the one you give yourself!
