Could you imagine being a little kid , all excited because it's finally your birthday and Mom is going to let you have a bearded dragon that you've been dreaming about since forever. You go to the pet store and pick out the cutest one , he's really nice and cool through the glass. So you take him home and open the enclosure to see your new best friend and Blue comes flying out of the enclosure jumps and attaches himself to your face with his teeth and won't let go.....poor kid.
My baby is about two to three months old. He’s my first one, so I wasn’t interacting enough at first. I bought him for my eleven year old son. We weren’t really taking him out of his enclosure. We were just giving him food and water and getting him used to our hand. Now he’s aggressive, and doesn’t want to be bothered. I moved him into my room, and now I’m taking him out daily, to get him trained and used to me. He’s still young, so I believe there is hope. Just showing him love and that I’m not a threat. All of the beardie TH-cam videos I’ve been watching have been very helpful.
I got my beardie when he was 2 months old and held him everyday so he is sososo docile, never tried once to bite me and I’ve only seen him puff up once when he got spooked outside 😅 I lucked out cause he is my first bearded dragon 😇
Got mine from a friends neighbor and they neglected her. She was 3 nd still in a 40oz tank. She was pretty defensive the first few weeks but as she realized i actually cared she became a lot more tame.

My Luna was described as agressive, tho have gotten so far as to pet her shin, head and today I was allowed to lightly and carefully pet her sides without agression. Gives me hope to be able to handle the girl in a while more with slow training 😊 And my usual jokes aside, Charusard and Willow are adorable! Feisty, but adorable.
My girl is completely docile, since we've had some warmer weather she's been a lot more active but not aggressive. She just wants to be out of her enclosure as much as possible!
I have had two beardies. One boy who died young due to parasites. But he was kinda an angry dude but would be workable with most people, especially when it came to food and time with people he liked, but he was known to bite my father in law at least twice My elderly beardie is an absolute angel. She loves to be fed frequently and be held and cuddled. And she enjoys participating in what people are doing. She’s also a sleepy girl so she’s not super active unless we get her a bag of crickets - then she’s crazy but always gentle and joyful. She’s over 10 years old now And super hearty! Nothing phases her besides sitting on the po arch during traffic but she’s taken some spills and has always been right back up and running. she’s just darling and I love her so much. Grateful for however long she has left. I’m hoping to get her a huge tank when my husband and I can move to a bigger place
I have a moody bearded dragon, she is sometimes sweet and sometimes she is having a bad day. I find freeze dried meal worms are easy for them to digest and a super treat, if she is angry I pour some on my hand and she will run over and munch them super fast and it makes her happy, calm and ok with my hands :) then I can pick her up and give her kisses XD I have noticed loud noises and hand movements do make her scared, I think she thinks something is going to eat her, and she is slowly learning will never hurt her or let anything hurt her Xb
My girl Ella was only defensive the first day I got her, I just took her out and handled her for about an hour and ever since she has been the sweetest, best bearded dragon ever!! I love her so much
They need daily work if u can't do that then it's not nice to keep coming in with that big ass paw of a hand they have a 3rd eye that detects predators so when u come in from above and are actually afraid of a lil bitty bearded dragon bite then there gonna keep coming at u if u keep pulling away
We currently have 2 beardies, both are about 6-8 months old. The first is our Fancy named Bunji, he's my problem child. We also have Doc Holiday, our Zero Morph. While he is usually a calm and collected guy, he does love to stare you down while he waits for his food 🤣🤣🤣
My sweet baby Remi has always been very docile. We got her when she was 4 months old (she will be 3 years old next month) and she has never bit anyone. She only puffs out when spooked outside. Your beardies are so cute
I would take him and sit with him like 15 min before his lights go out and keep room lights dim to see if he will end up falling asleep on you after an hour. I feel once an animal falls asleep on you they end up feeling safer and more comfortable with you.
That's what I did a few months after I taken charge of my guy. I was scared of him one night I laid on the floor with him woke up with him on my shoulder under my hair
My nieces baby bearded dragon is 3-4 months old and he is soooooo sweet! He lets her pick up and pet him, he falls asleep in her hands, and when she tries to put him back he climbs back on her hand and goes back to sleep! I loved this video btw!!
Hey Elion! Have you tried the burrito method haha? My beardie is not aggressive at all so I dont know if it will work for Blue, but my beardie knocks right out under a towel! Maybe wrapping Blue up and keeping him near you would keep him calmer and easier to tame that way.
I could be wrong but I know from handling snakes you don't want to do that because then they associate your hand with food and then may bite your hands more.
@@andromeda7758 doesn’t hurt to try because obviously he doesn’t like hands but starting to hand feed them could be a way to start taming him, I hand feed my beardie all the time and she knows the difference between food and fingers
My Tangerine and Wally are chill but I recently took in a tiny amputee. Trike is crazy Blue style crazy. At night I cuddle tangi and wally, so I made Trike a blanket. Took 2 nights but now he will chill enough to fall asleep and get some pets.
I got my beardie on September 2nd of last year and he was born on may 31 2021. He has never tried to bite me or anyone else, he also has never black bearded I don't know Wy even when I first got him and took him out of the clear bin he came in he was completely calm
My daughter picked the craziest acting bearded dragon out of the bunch because she said she likes the crazy ones, it never tried to bite us as a baby but was very squirmy and jumpy, but I kept feeding it and giving it baths and just letting it chill and soak, and I would let it roam around my room , it ended up liking being on our chest, so now it’s not a crazy bearded dragon it’s the most docile dragon ever and loves to chill on a beach chair by the pool when I take it out to sun bath lmao 🤣

When I got my Viper I went to Petco. My first was really ill as he has neuro issues since I got him. So I wanted on that I knew was healthy. Blister ended up passing away that night. When I saw Viper the others were just chilling and she was running around and ran up to the glass to me. My friend since high school works at that petco and helped me get her. She is 3 yrs old now and still loves running around. She is a spaz and I love her. We bonded right away.
Are little one is 5 months old he he is a stunning citrus with gold eyes. At the pet shop he was alot like blue running around. He ran out of his enclosure at the pet shop when the employee tried to get him out for us to see. He ran up the guys arm and onto his back. Best part was when when I got him off of his back he immediately calmed down and let me hold him. The employee was dumbfounded on how I was able to calm him down so fast. I'm really not even sure how I did it but the dragon and I just connected. After we brought him home he has allways been so chill except if he gets to warm then he will get the zoomies and run around. He love going shopping with us as well as cuddling up and watching TV. We do normally hand feed him. He has only bit me once on accident when he missed the roach and got finger instead. Boy that little guy bites hard. Great vid and good luck with blue.
I have had many dragons mostly rescues unfortunately who were not cared for properly but at the moment i have 2 and they are very different - I did have a bearded dragon who was abused and burned his behavior was a lot like blue (but he had a reason to fear people of course) Within a month of having him and working withhim He turned into a cuddly love bug and blue just needs to see you as a companion not competition

I recently took in a female, She was found dumped on the street so she was pretty much wild when I got her. she's miss social now. Took at least 4 to 5 months to win her over. She is in brumation right now and I miss princess Jinx.

I still can’t believe 5 to 6 years ago. People used to think bearded dragons have three eyes and that they needed heat at night. That’s why we need red heat lamps but in all reality, they don’t need heat and the red heat lamp that would be like trying to go to sleep with, every single light on in your house in your room, can you sleep with all your lights on in your room?
I have 5 4 girls and a boy they are all docile and supper sweet my boy is very in patient when it comes to his food he’s always trying to eat it before I can get it in his bowl 😂

I actually have a beardie named Zym and he was sooo calm when we first got him, so I’ve had a pretty easy journey. Although ofc he had weeks and maybe months of untrust and running away- But he never hissed or bit me. So yeppp now hes 1 y old and is super chill and chonky:)
In my opinion some advise - If you not feeding Blue daily you should start. He may be calmer if hes full and just relax and bask (let him eat in his enclosure on jis own - it will help him burn some f that energey to chase crickets around - im talking about just blue specifically if he is tghrowing up from the stress and take him out o bond after hes basked and digested . take him out in the mornings when he is just waking up annd at night when he is getting sleepy and burrito him up start doing that every day for a couple months you will notice improvment with his behavior toward you then slowly start increasing the amount of times you take him out .. Also in general offer veggies at least everyday to help wit hhydration and keep them happy if they arent hungry they wont eat but its good for them to have that option.
My boy Draco, he's a normal one, his skin color is like your charizard, He's 8 months old, but he grows fast, the thing that he did alot was do the side face when I'm just standing near his cage, and he just like to sleep in the corner of the tank, after months he sleeped while holding/hugging the wood
ever since my little girl was a baby she has always been super slow and sleepy and has never shown any type of aggression! she gives my hand a lick everytime i go to pick her up but She also (weirdly) really likes my shower but hates baths...

My dear dragon, I think she's like a diva and sassy. I think that what she is kids show pop up at you, but if you don't give her food, let's say that she's spoiled. Yeah, if you don't give her worms, she'll look at you.and she'll keep on doing that until you give her worms
my dragon usually eats from my had and i put some veg in his bowl . He only gets pissed when the cat is looking at him. Im having a hard time trying to figure what veg he likes .

I a new bearded dragon owner how can I can I set my bearded day and night cycle to my work time odd hours I work 4pm to 1am. Right I am off work right now I trying to do a 7pm to 7am night but when I go back to work what can to change it day/night cycle to not stress it out?

I got a beardie early last month. He was really chill for the first week he was home. Then about two weeks into him being home, he bit my friend while she was trying to pick him up. Hes been really skiddish and defensive since then. He is pretty small though so Im sure he’ll get used to it again when hes bigger? Its just odd because he was chill and not crazy at first. Is this something anyone else has experienced?
I have an adult male and sub adult female who are both as mellow as can be and they both like attention and being cuddled. Both will fall asleep on or near me. The big male will actually climb up on my bed if he's free roaming and watch tv with me ir take a nap. I have 2 other beardies who are a bit nuts but in a totally non-aggressive way. One is fairly chill but hates baths and not really a fan of handling. He occassionally goes a bit whacko and glass surfs with a black beard and half his stomach gets black also. The other is just an adorable little nutter who loves her tank mate but hates being held or bathed. She's a wiggler.
My dude was returned to the pet store for being too aggressive. When he seen me and charged the tank to the moment I unboxed him he's been a total TITTY monster! 🐉 ♡ he grew 4 inches in 5 sheds and gained ¼ of a pound!! I'm so proud of him. He's potty trained to poo outside. 💩 entering Fall, IDK what to do? I don't want him to get sick. 😫 I need information on how much should he weigh what should his poo look like b4 my handsome prince falls into his slumbers.

3:30 I've noticed that when beardies are REALLY pissed off, even the ends of their tails turn black.

That’s why we need red heat lamps but in all reality, they don’t need heat and the red heat lamp that would be like trying to go to sleep with, every single light on in your house in your room, can you sleep with all your lights on in your room?

I got my male beardie when he was a little baby. He's been very chill. Like super chill. He's really lazy too. He's over a year old now. Still doesn't do much or react to much. Lol I've never seen him head Bob and he hasn't "waved" at me since he was like 5 months old I'd say. I wish he would tho
I actually have a beardie named Zym and he was sooo calm when we first got him, so I’ve had a pretty easy journey. Although ofc he had weeks and maybe months of untrust and running away- But he never hissed or bit me. So yeppp now hes 1 y old and is super chill and chonky:)
In my opinion some advise - If you not feeding Blue daily you should start. He may be calmer if hes full and just relax and bask (let him eat in his enclosure on jis own - it will help him burn some f that energey to chase crickets around - im talking about just blue specifically if he is tghrowing up from the stress and take him out o bond after hes basked and digested . take him out in the mornings when he is just waking up annd at night when he is getting sleepy and burrito him up start doing that every day for a couple months you will notice improvment with his behavior toward you then slowly start increasing the amount of times you take him out .. Also in general offer veggies at least everyday to help wit hhydration and keep them happy if they arent hungry they wont eat but its good for them to have that option.

My boy Draco, he's a normal one, his skin color is like your charizard, He's 8 months old, but he grows fast, the thing that he did alot was do the side face when I'm just standing near his cage, and he just like to sleep in the corner of the tank, after months he sleeped while holding/hugging the wood

ever since my little girl was a baby she has always been super slow and sleepy and has never shown any type of aggression! she gives my hand a lick everytime i go to pick her up but She also (weirdly) really likes my shower but hates baths...

My dear dragon, I think she's like a diva and sassy. I think that what she is kids show pop up at you, but if you don't give her food, let's say that she's spoiled. Yeah, if you don't give her worms, she'll look at you.and she'll keep on doing that until you give her worms
my dragon usually eats from my had and i put some veg in his bowl . He only gets pissed when the cat is looking at him. Im having a hard time trying to figure what veg he likes .

My female bearded dragon acted like that the first time i got her and i tamed her with just constantly being around and hand feeding her even with being bit every now and then but now she's become a snuggler who enjoys snacks

I got a beardie early last month. He was really chill for the first week he was home. Then about two weeks into him being home, he bit my friend while she was trying to pick him up. Hes been really skiddish and defensive since then. He is pretty small though so Im sure he’ll get used to it again when hes bigger? Its just odd because he was chill and not crazy at first. Is this something anyone else has experienced?
I have an adult male and sub adult female who are both as mellow as can be and they both like attention and being cuddled. Both will fall asleep on or near me. The big male will actually climb up on my bed if he's free roaming and watch tv with me ir take a nap. I have 2 other beardies who are a bit nuts but in a totally non-aggressive way. One is fairly chill but hates baths and not really a fan of handling. He occassionally goes a bit whacko and glass surfs with a black beard and half his stomach gets black also. The other is just an adorable little nutter who loves her tank mate but hates being held or bathed. She's a wiggler.

When he seen me and charged the tank to the moment I unboxed him he's been a total TITTY monster! 🐉 ♡ he grew 4 inches in 5 sheds and gained ¼ of a pound!! I'm so proud of him. He's potty trained to poo outside. 💩 entering Fall, IDK what to do? I don't want him to get sick. 😫
