Love this. Just one question. What’s the step on putting the games on your computer? Cause after that you created a folder to put on the SSD. Just need to know how you got the games to the computer please thanks
@@djjulz23 I personally use imgburn to make .iso copies of my physical PS2 games. You can also sail the internet seas and acquire the through websites. The choice is yours!
Thank you for this tutorial. It works perfectly, so far. If I can make one suggestion, is that you either change your resolution or you zoom in when you're showing the files on your computer. They were very hard to see and if some people weren't very computer savy, it makes it harder to get this done. Other than that, I was able to follow your instructions and get this working. So again, I say thank you. I have subscribed and liked. I can't believe you don't have more. Good job.
@EMSS-ul8bq That is a great suggestion! I watched this on my phone and I agree it's difficult to see. I'm glad the mod worked for you and I appreciate the feedback. Happy gaming!
I appreciate you checking out my video and praising the work that I do! Unfortunately the consoles I work on are not for sale since I use then to play games on my gaming channel. My apologies for the inconvenience and I hope you understand.
@krip3760 There's a lot of discussion about this on many forums related to the PS2. While there are posts on people expressing they are worried about overheating, there is very little on actual consoles experiencing issues. Since we took proper precautions with all the thermal pads being replaced with more efficient ones and made sure the fan is blowing out hot air, there should be little to no issues. To be fair, I do keep my PS2 well ventilated and have played it for 8 hours straight at one point with no issues. I'm willing to update this video if I come across heat problems in the future.
Unfortunately, not. If you have a PS2 Slim or know someone that does, you can create a FreeMcBoot memory card using the FreeDVDBoot "All PS2 Slims" iso. otherwise, you maybe have to buy a pre-made memory card from Amazon. Sorry my friend, I hate to give bad news.
So I followed the whole setting up OPL portion to the specs you provided, and when i go to load a game, I get no Playstation logo and the game never loads. Just stays on a black screen. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong? HDD is set up the same as well so not sure what I'm missing here.
@justinseyer4358 Interesting. If the game list shows up on OPL, that means OPL settings are correct. Can you try opening OPL through uLaunchELF? make sure you are choosing the Grimdoomer version. It could be a routing problem on the main menu options. I'm curious if you built your card or bought one on Amazon.
I'm nowhere near tech savvy unfortunately and all I have is a chromebook laptop. Is there a way I can have you set me one up and some select games to go with it to save me the trouble of trying to look for other options ? Please respond with a way I can reach you through email or other means, I would really appreciate it
@@Magneteco It's fine, thanks for the response. Would you happen to know anyone who could pull it off for me ? I didn't even know this was possible until I came across your video
16:30 I love the lil PS2 pat 😊 Great tutorial Mag! Fantastic work as always.
It's a good PS2, so it gets all the pats lol! Thank you for checking out the video. I hope you're doing well my friend.

Is the fan a 12 volt fan attached to 5 volt rail? That might cause overheating.

Hello magnetico. I have 3.02 dvd player and read the dvdboot compatibility and its not there. Is there any other work or way around it?

@@justinseyer4358 Can I ask what game you are trying to run? OPL is pretty compatible, but it does not play well with some of the more obscure games.
@@Magneteco to be honest, it does the same to every game I select, but to list a specific, I selected Blood Omen 2 as an example game
@@Magneteco another issue I found is that OPL will only boot up if it is located in the "boot" folder and not just in the "app" folder.

@Magneteco I actually bought my card from Amazon or Aliexpress. I can't remember for sure which one, but it was definitely premade
