I miss this game.. Still have a working ps2 memory card and dance Mats. But I no longer know where my supernova is. Even harder to find it now that I moved. For all I know we accidentally threw it out while packing.
agree, some of the license songs are not form Dancemania/TOSHIBA-EMI anymore, it ends at DDR EXTREME (in reference to JAPANESE/ORIGINAL ARCADE VERSIONS)
This was the shit! When I went to the IHOP I heard that there was DDR I got SOOO EXCITED but they told me it broke and I was MAD I was complaining and no one stop me since my best friend wasn't there
Best part about that is the european version has both Trim & Max 300 SMM Mix, so it has technically one more boss song compared to both the US & JP version. I say technically, because Trim is counted as a regular song in the EU version and is available from the get go instead of being locked behind The Last if I recall.
Sin, The Empty One I found out that you can get Trim online and play it, however the servers are long gone by now. I wish I was curious enough to know how to get online before they shut down the servers
That's a big oof. But if it makes you feel any better, we europeans got shafted in terms of DDR pretty hard. Pretty sure the US & JP songlist has much more licensed songs than EU, probably because getting licenses is harder in EU. Reminds me of how legacy music industry was and still is a major pain in the neck.
it is, albeit you could only play it online, and when that service was deactivated, you couldn't play it unless you saved it to edit data somehow, it's on the next US CS mix tho
wth wheres Doll? o.o I know that the USA version of this game has it but wasn't it released on the arcade version of Supernova? im surprised that its not on the console version for Japan considering most of the arcade songs are on here.
That sounds like a mixture of two different games. The game with the minigames is DDR Extreme (US), and the game with Doll and Xepher is DDR SuperNOVA (US). This is of course, only if you live in the US. I can't help you with Japanese or European releases.
DDR 2ndMIX CLUB VERSION 2 - CHOTTO KIITENA [ZASHIN-NA MIX] DDR 3rdMIX PLUS - KOREAN SONGS DDR 4thMIX PLUS - PETIT LOVE DDR Solo BASS MIX - NONSTOP MEGAMIX DDR Solo 2000 - NONSTOP MEGAMIX DDR 7thMIX - A MINUTE [Extended Mix], IT'S RAINING MEN [Almighty Mix], MORE THAN I NEEDED TO KNOW, THERE YOU'LL BE DDR EXTREME - SENORITA [Speedy Mix] DDR SuperNOVA - DOESN'T REALLY MATTER
This is the song list for the Japanese version of DDR Supernova, which has mostly the same songs as the US/Western version but a handful of songs are traded for others. For example, Flowers is on the song list here, even though in the US that song was actually in DDR Supernova 2, not Supernova 1.
the ddr that has mini games is ddr extreme (us) the ddr that has songs like doll and xepher is ddr supernova (us) the ddr games that has the song you described are ddr extreme(us) and ddr max(us) the song is called im for real
I can't find the name of this song but it has humming in it including the beats but no lyrics, the background are also animated with soldiers and there is a glimpse of the flag waving if anyone know let me know that be great
still better than European DDR games AKA Dancing Stage lol just look at what DS SuperNOVA has in Europe and don't get me started with DS SuperNOVA2 in Europe lol
Technically, Flow and Flow (true style) are the same song and have same beginner to expert charts. The latter have BPM changes and new challenge chart.
You guys should get Ultramix 3 and stop complaining, an Xbox is like 50$ now and a JP import of DDR is almost the same price. Plus the Dancemania songs aren't really worth it except Golden Sky.
:O FLOWERS? HONEY PUNCH? Seduction?! Dragon blade?!?! Under the sky?! Insertion?! Keep On Movin' (even though its annoying) ?! Rainbow flyer?! Trim?! HOW MUCH CAN THEY TORTURE US AMERICANS?!?! I WAN THIS SOOOO BAD!!!!!
Because some of the songs in the US PS2 version were replaced with songs originally from EXTREME AC, since the US CS version didn't have all of them. Because of this, the songs that were replaced got moved to future releases.
***** don't 4get there's some songs on tha SuperNOVA series dat was either originally from tha Ultramix series or renewed on tha Ultramix Series and Universe series but yeah not all was ported 2 US releases, however tha European release as known as "Dancing Stage" has tha worse of 'em all
***** IIRC, the majority (if not all) of those songs were originally from Festival and Party Collection, not the Ultramix, Universe, or Dancing Stage series' (especially not Dancing Stage (the games in which aren't actually too bad; I've wanted to get my hands on some of them TBH), as all of the songs (except for the licenses) were all from at least one other DDR game).
blehe38 DDR Ultramix was released b4 Festival and Party Collection so alot of these are from Ultramix like Ballad for You, Insertion (Machine Gun Kelly Mix), Keep on Movin' (DMX Mix), Put Your Faith in Me (Saturday Night Mix), these was songs dat originated from DDR Ultramix! all Festival was is alot of Ultramix Renewals anyways! dat'z like sayin' DDR Strike came b4 DDR Extreme 2 when Extreme 2 was released in 2005 but Strike was released in 2006! plus on tha Supernova series, there's a good portion of songs dat originated from DDR Extreme 2 as well!
This might be the only game where I can argue, the US version has a better tracklist for once. Despite the funny licenses :p
I miss this game.. Still have a working ps2 memory card and dance Mats. But I no longer know where my supernova is. Even harder to find it now that I moved. For all I know we accidentally threw it out while packing.
Just get another off of eBay and the memory card should have any previous records on it!
4:49 my favorite ddr song of all
I think he meant Curus
Fuck! I miss these days! Almost every Friday and Saturday nights at Putt Putt
1:09 You have to wonder whether or not the people that chose that song know English
Not to mention the artist on 2:55.
@Hassan Forrest Is this a bot?
1:55 and this
I wonder how not even US version got this song considering how popular this song is lol
I had this game and I played it every single day
agree, some of the license songs are not form Dancemania/TOSHIBA-EMI anymore, it ends at DDR EXTREME (in reference to JAPANESE/ORIGINAL ARCADE VERSIONS)
Technically, it ends shortly after the release of DDR SuperNOVA.
The Songs in Blue (starting at 7:17) recently came from DDR FESTIVAL
But here, they now have BEGINNER charts.
Pretty close to the track list on the US version. Looks good
Some songs from ddr supernova jp like Feelings won't fade, 華爛漫 -Flowers- and more are in ddr supernova 2 usa :)
This was the shit! When I went to the IHOP I heard that there was DDR I got SOOO EXCITED but they told me it broke and I was MAD I was complaining and no one stop me since my best friend wasn't there
Angel Phengsiaroun i wish i had access 2 tha Arcade SuperNOVA but yeah it's all good! i'll get some japanese PS2 and diz game one day
I have (somewhat) access to a Supernova machine. Really great
Wait, your IHOP store had a DDR? That might be the strangest place I've seen a DDR at. Didn't know IHOP had arcade games.
@BostonGeorge1975 The song featured in that movie is HANA RANMAN -Flowers- by TERRA which has become one of the staple songs of this game.
Supernova was the best DDR in my opinion.
imo, the japanese DDD extreme is better, but this is still a great songlist nontheless
because JAPANESE VERSIONS DDR are still reference, and because they're are ORIGINAL VERSIONS
What sucks is that trim isn’t even in the US version, but it’s still played in some of the menus. Damb
Best part about that is the european version has both Trim & Max 300 SMM Mix, so it has technically one more boss song compared to both the US & JP version.

it is, albeit you could only play it online, and when that service was deactivated, you couldn't play it unless you saved it to edit data somehow, it's on the next US CS mix tho
trim is on the USA version of supernova, but it’s an online only song
I love Kylie Minogue
+itbeonlikedonkeykong Brilliant R.E.D. originated on DDR Ultramix 3
Normally I'm defending the English list on these vids, but I have to admit this songlist is pretty great.
Honestly, the home releases for the North American PS2 prior to 2008 were pretty good.
@@E24KLawsonNah DDRMAX NA song list was garbage compared to DDRMAX JP
@@cartoonvideos5DDR EXTREME wasn't that good either. Ex2 fixed that tho
@@cartoonvideos5idk man, Sandstorm and Stomp to my beat is good
@@Pokaroquai Oh yea I still think the English version has some good songs, but overall JP is better.
In Japan, it is on DDR STR!KE.
I like MOONSTER, Gekkou Chou, TRUE❤LOVE, and Hunting for you
but KAGEROW (Dragonfly) it reminds me of a movie Shrek bad reputation
by Joan Jett.
Because uh, Konami no longer works with them
2:32 People, can someone tell me how to unlock this song because there is no way and I already completed all the others, I only need this one 😩
Go to the store mode
this video's bass is crazy good XD
I remember fascination love mix was ridiculously hard
I am tempted to just buy the jp version off of Ebay cause they have better song and it seem to have English song title for a lot of them.
Oh my god this is awesome
wth wheres Doll? o.o I know that the USA version of this game has it but wasn't it released on the arcade version of Supernova? im surprised that its not on the console version for Japan considering most of the arcade songs are on here.
It made its debut on DDR Strike for the PS2. It was also in DDR Extreme 2 for the PS2. Both releases came before Supernova.
CernaML Doll was only on DDR STR!KE, not EXTREME2.

DDR 2ndMIX CLUB VERSION 2 - CHOTTO KIITENA [ZASHIN-NA MIX]
DDR 3rdMIX PLUS - KOREAN SONGS
DDR 4thMIX PLUS - PETIT LOVE
DDR Solo BASS MIX - NONSTOP MEGAMIX
DDR Solo 2000 - NONSTOP MEGAMIX
DDR 7thMIX - A MINUTE [Extended Mix], IT'S RAINING MEN [Almighty Mix], MORE THAN I NEEDED TO KNOW, THERE YOU'LL BE
DDR EXTREME - SENORITA [Speedy Mix]
DDR SuperNOVA - DOESN'T REALLY MATTER
And it has a decent songlist.
Lucky This Versions So Much Better Than The US Version :(
at least we Americans didn't get screwed over as bad as Europe did lol
100 billion kickass songs = god why me
No, DDR Universe 2 is the newest i believe (i play that on xbox) they came out with a big kit at my gamestop

+Amnamazing M Gekkou Chou
Gekkou Chou
@dship98 right??? and also except for keep on movin' and insertion all of those songs are on DDR Supernova 2 for USA
Did you have to earn AAA's on the songs to get those ones? :) I own this game in WA USA, and was curious, on the extra songs.
This is the song list for the Japanese version of DDR Supernova, which has mostly the same songs as the US/Western version but a handful of songs are traded for others. For example, Flowers is on the song list here, even though in the US that song was actually in DDR Supernova 2, not Supernova 1.

in my opinion, the best ddr U.S., is the extreme 2, your list of topics is much like the Japanese versions, is the only worthwhile...
For me u.s is max2
For me DDRMAX DDRMAX2 AN EXTREME2
Que curioso es ver los logos de algunas canciones en japonés
3:44 this one is heat man!
DDR II for the Wii is the newest. Released in October last year =/
@Culterin Asaki is not a band, just one person.
What is the name of the song in the fim YesMan ? When Carl play DDRS ?
where did you get this Ps2 ISO ?
That weird,on DDR Supernova,Trim is specally a boss song but for DDR Supernova 2,Trim isn't boss song just that text is green, not red.
CHAOS is a creator of Trip Machine.
CHAOS's artist made Trip Machine, yes.
Damn, N O S T A L G I A
4:14 only real anime fans know where this is from
pockey and some ramune
so...the japanese have the original "flow" while the US has "flow (true style)"?
man the US konami doesnt even make sense...

So wait in the non Japanese version it doesn’t have happy angel ? Trying to clarify

Ngl, its a banger
I wish I could play Brilliant RED :(
Brilliant Red 1st appeared on Ultramix 3 one year b4 SuperNOVA was released

Hey guys i gotta say can you make the happy angel's challenge came from DDR A20 plus to save the charts edit data on DDR supernova PS2's data.

Is there a way to buy this in America?
some of these songs are supernova2
Does anyone know the name of the song at 5:20?? It's all in Japanese so.. Haaa.
Thank you so much!
I love DDR how do I get all does songs at
You get DDR SuperNOVA for PS2 (make sure it's the Japanese version), and you finish Stellar Master Mode.
:O FLOWERS? HONEY PUNCH? Seduction?! Dragon blade?!?! Under the sky?! Insertion?! Keep On Movin' (even though its annoying) ?! Rainbow flyer?! Trim?! HOW MUCH CAN THEY TORTURE US AMERICANS?!?! I WAN THIS SOOOO BAD!!!!!
u think we get tourtured with DDR games in USA, just look at what Europe got for their DDR games called Dancing Stage and come back lol!
what was the song right before "mondo street"?
MBL Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini by Asaki.
i ddint even get to finish the game i lost it at my cousins house :'(
alight, i played this in the arcade and all these songs were in it, why werent they in the us ps2 version?

@hersheyslvr23 I know, just I don't like flipping from game to game... but I could get stepmania... but I like DDR better cuz DDR is awesome!
The Japanese yellow songs are secury best than the USA's

Only good things about this game are the boss songs and Xepher.

Joel Oda is basically saying is Xepher and red zone all the songs in this game cause he is confusing this with Stepmania.

This game had the worst songs 😒
Lucky_Pickle12 wait till u see tha European version of DDR SuperNOVA lol
2010 says hi
I disagree, it had the best songs in my opinion, maybe it could be tied with X2. (I'm a little biased because I grew up with these songs)
I think SuperNOVA 2 went way off the original style of DDR, lots of silly songs and only a handful are really really good.
You are wrong
What’s the song called @ 5:50?
“Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini” by Asaki.
