On top of that, imagine the DDR announcer will be the one that also announcer for the radio! He'll say smth like this, "If you're on the road, streets after streets, look at those speed meters!"
because the us one was made one year before the japanese one so thats why ddr x us has the same songs as japanese supernova 2 because they were both made in 2008
Honestly I like the japanese home version than the arcade version because it features the content I want. Another reason I like that japanese version better because the songs on the American version include just music videos of American songs.myou know what I am talkin bout
from what i can remember, even tha US version of DDR SuperNOVA2 does include Angelus but tha European version (Dancing Stage SuperNOVA2) does not and has way worse songs than both tha US and JAPAN version
Wow, I'm really impressed by this new songlist. I was a little skeptical about it, but I'm actually going to buy this after seeing your video. The new songs are just too irresistable.
Happy 15th Anniversary to this game! This was THE VIDEO that made me want to own the game. It took nearly 13 years, but I finally did get it in 2021. Because of that, I could officially declare this as one of my all time favorite DDR games, if not my all time favorite!
ugh, why isn't the usa supernova 2 playlist something like this. No crappy licensed songs, no repetition of fascination max eternal love mix when we're over that song, awesome past songs with remixes, MORE songs, harder songs overall. GRR. I hope DDR X does better.
Whoever wants to protest/complain to konami about the unfair song list of both supernova 2 versions have the right to speak out to everyone who thinks it's very not fair!
I was really considering getting the Japanese version of SN2... There are so many classic songs in addition to the entire planet series, a lot of songs from the English DDR X, and Pluto and Pluto Relinquish of course. I already bought the English SN2... And getting X soon, but maybe sometime in the future I'll look to the JP SN2
When I played SN2 at the arcades and saw "Sunrise," I was actually pleased to see Konami brought Duran Duran back. Half the people that watch me recognize their stuff, old or new (like when they had the reflex, and even Ordinary World, even though it was only a dance mix/cover by Aurora).. But overall, I'm jealous ;( I want this on MY SN2...Hahaha

Yea, I dunno much about the support mode for later realeases, but I know for Supernova 1 everything's unlocked after about 50 hours of song play, I'm not sure Supernova 2 uses the same system, except for the Boss songs: Unreal for Extra Stage, NGO for Encore Extra, and some specific conditions for TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX and PARANOiA ~Hades~
UGH, sorry for posting a 3rd time in a row, but I had to elaborate..I meant all the 10 footer/block songs when I said boss songs..didn't mean to include Unreal.
I think it's because for the other songs they play the chorus of the song. But, a lot of boss songs don't seem to have a chorus. So, for those songs, they just play the beginning. I'm not really sure though.

@jonathan456767 Not to mention, the Japanese version has an entire section devoted to DDR classics. Here in America, we get Gwen Stefani and Goldfrapp. Blargh.
This this is about as close as you can get to a perfect song list, a great selection of old and new. It's a shame the US release robbed us of so much good shit
The main reason it is there is because of Konami's involvement with that series. Although they DO license anime songs in their other bemani games like pop'n music.
“They remove white songs in USA!” Really? There are previous USA DDR games that have the songs you can play on the PS2. AFRONOVA: Max 2. AM-3P: Max and Max 2. B4U: Extreme. BRILLIANT 2U: Extreme 2. CAN'T STOP FALLING IN LOVE: Max 2. CANDY⭐️: Max. D2R: Max 2. DEAD END: Konamix (a stretch but PS2 is backwards compatible). DROP THE BOMB: Extreme. DYNAMITE RAVE: Extreme 2. Groove: Max 2. INSIDE YOUR HEART: Extreme 2. Kind Lady: Max and Max 2. Look To The Sky: Max. PARANOiA: Extreme 2. STILL IN MY HEART: Max 2. Sweet Sweet ❤️ Magic: Extreme 2. Tomorrow: Extreme 2. True❤️Love: SuperNOVA US. Un Deux Tois: Extreme 2 and X2. The fact that I can already play these songs on other PS2 DDR games feels like a rip-off.
1. l'amour et la liberte' is mercury. 2. Because they are interested for the "general" public more than hardcore ddr players. The want to get more general people in the game, with songs they would recogize.
By the way, not that it's a big deal or anything, but has anyone else noticed that the preview music for all the boss songs are the direct beginning of each song? Like, remember when you'd scroll by PSMO or something, and they would play the stream part or something..I dunno haha, I just thought it was interesting.
I got an AA Full Combo on CHAOS on HEAVY (Red Song) On DDR SUPERNOVA!!! I Can Get An A Full Combo or Higher On All Red Song's in Any DDR Game On All Difficulties and still Keeping My Full Combo (I still need to Buy DDR X And DDR X2, yes 😇🥰😇🥰!!!) Like and Reply if you Agree!!!
Xavier Krantz but dat game has a overall better songlist tha both Japanese Strike counter part and Dancing Stage Max counter part as well but as always, tha European PAL releases gets tha worst out of any region of DDR games :P
yes my friend, unfortunately we do. Even the japan versions of max, max2, and extreme.... have all official arcade songs, no rift raft by kelly clarkson or chris brown stuff. As well as bonus songs for the heck of it, and max. (period) in which is on japanese extreme.
Geez, I watched the whole thing and I still didn't find a song I heard in the US arcade version. This is what I get for not paying closer attention to the titles....
I understand they were trying to appeal to americans... but I think they would've found these songs more fun to dance to!! and I think they sound way better then some replaced!! :D
SOmetimes the japanese could be a bit selfish but not all of them when it comes to music and dance games like DDR! Konami has got to stop giving all the good songs to the japanese version of ddr and let the us get them too! I hope when DDR X comes out we will get all the new songs that they put on this version!
Do you,or anybody in this own the USA version? if so plz tell me if you can play some of the previous DDR such as Doll and Xepher. i know i can do it on the arcade mode but idk in PS2. plz answer,im trying to decide if to buy this or Supernova 1.

@fruitegable cheated that a Japanese version of DDR was released before DDR X was? Of course American versions have always been playing catchup with Japan. Ironically DDR X has MOST of the new songs that KCET made for it.
no, no, I know that each DDR Game has revivals, but they are usually taken from earlier mixes so people tend to want to play them again. They should make a ddr radio station we can all listen to.
That makes too much sense they won't do it

So glad a lot of these songs made it to X

you can find a lot of these games at wal-mart
You can get SwapMagic discs to make this possible, though you'll need to mod your PS2 as well.
This is so much better than the American version
Xavier Krantz u think tha American version is bad, wait till u deal with tha European version aka Dancing Stage lol
+blakedmc1989DDRHD are you serious, dancing stage is that bad ?
Xavier Krantz yes it dat bad like 80 times worse than American DDR games :P
+blakedmc1989DDRHD are you kidding me, take a look at the track list on the US Game, DDR Extreme 2, that game had a cover of Crazy In Love by Beyoncé
Xavier Krantz but dat game has a overall better songlist tha both Japanese Strike counter part and Dancing Stage Max counter part as well but as always, tha European PAL releases gets tha worst out of any region of DDR games :P
Hoping the Japanese and american version songs can wait to be on DDR SuperNova 3
just like DDR Hottest Party 3 on the Nintendo WII

YES! i heard pluto before and i knew it would be in ddr!
Konami is in japan, therefore they get access to more songs than us.
@KazikaroInei7550 Actually DoLL is not in SN1 JP.

it’s on supernova 1 in japan and supernova 1 and 2 in the states
@JunDageki Doll and Xepher exists in SN1 in the PS2 in both versions.
In the US version, is there Pluto and Pluto Relinquish?
The japanese get all the cool songs and characters and we get the not so amusing songs and the same characters from sn1 except for 2 of them

You spelled it right.
The music on the JP versions are ALWAYS better than the US versions. Biggest example us The US EXtreme compared to the JP one.
and check the supernova 1 song list
OMG, i have to see dead end on challenge mode, the whole pentagon was filled O.O
Count yourself lucky. Europe's luck to even have that.
i like this version more than the version of usa -.-
1-more song
2-all song is better than the usa version
@fruitegable cheated that a Japanese version of DDR was released before DDR X was? Of course American versions have always been playing catchup with Japan. Ironically DDR X has MOST of the new songs that KCET made for it.
Haha, wow. I really need to get back into DDR.
Because almost 30 of those songs are repeats...all of which we've seen on past US DDR games...
@heaatherable Fascination you mean.?
Yeah where is that one.???
So Venus Expert is harder than PARANOiA ~HADES~ Difficult?
@Jazy1993 Oh well, thanks for the response. =)
WHAT!?!? Kind lady is in this one for the japanese version? now i gotta get that one now smmfh.......
holy crap! waiting for tonight? thats old! i hav in on extreme(US)

@MrAnimatedJ there is a new podcast about DDR :)
Can we play the jp version of these DDR games on the PS3? and yes I do have the backwards compatible 80 GB version.
yes!
btw, some plz answer my two questions:
1. whats the planet song for mercury?
2. why does supernova 2 jp have like 20 more songs than the US version?
Good Question. I'm struggling to do it backwards on Master Mode and they mean to tell me you can't unlock it.
the US version of SN2 is more like a recreation of the JP version of SN1
5:44 Brilliant 2u
Can you share link in pack song ( beethoven virus ) for android please....Thank's

LMAO! The day Wal-Mart starts selling JP imports is the day that Sam Walton walks the land once again. xD

Question: Isn't LEAVE ME ALONE by TUT1026 a license, along with seemingly most of the other songs in purple? If so, why are they in purple?
Uh, yeah, this ones way better. I think it's the best one yet...
Uranus challenge. It's an easy 10, just like sakura was on heavy. Sakura in SN2 in now a 9 footer.
