Kinda a new subscriber here. We have a Mapex kit at the college I attend. It's actually not a bad sounding kit for the hell its been put through. It really just needs new heads and some hardware. I play it once in a while during class. I didn't know they were local to me until my percussion instructor said something to me about it. Next town south local. They are off Golden Bear Pkwy. You should see how Mt Juliet was *before* it got big. 20 years ago, it was nothing more than a watering hole.
I'm happy for you wyatt ,hopefully if you go with Mapex thier kits are very awesome I wish they still offered thier top of the line flagship Orion Series, unfortunately I heard they stopped producing them .they were extra thin all north American rock maple in any size imaginable. They were about as costly as pearl masterworks. Bit had more custom features. I'll miss them , my old drum teacher had 2 kits of them. Mapex still rocks. Happy drumming wyatt.
It would be nice to be able to get replacement parts, just like most any other kind of equipment. There is no "parts" store for Mapex, as far as I can tell. I can't get a response back from the company either about it.

Map ex is actually a Taiwanese company. The Nashville warehouse is just the US headquarters.
