    Great instructional video.
Personally, I prefer to mount my hand guards to the triple tree. I’ve had the hand guards rotate upon lay down way too many times when mounted to the handlebars. Triple tree mounts are lot more secure and rigid.

Absolutely brilliant video. Exactly what I’m about to do on my CRF300l using a Renthal Fatbar and zeta barkbusters. What size drill bit did you use? What an underrated TH-cam video this is. Fantastic 😊👍

Thanks for your kind comment…. I used a 2.5mm drill bit first, then a 5mm for the final hole size.👍🏻 hope that helps

Was there any movement from the switch clamps using 5mm drill bit?

What height bar did you go for? I’ve gone for the apico fat bar converter clamps and I think 90mm raised bars. Any issues with stretching cables?

@@tristrammcneil352 they’re about 25mm higher than the stock bars and the cables are fine👌🏻the link to the exact ones are in the comments… I’ll

Best handlebar video for this bike on TH-cam by far! Hey your link is down. What model bars is this exactly? I want to do the same setup on my 300L

Don’t buy the Acerbis handguards. They are soft and bend easily. Buy Zeta or barkbusters.

Do you mind sharing which "type" of Pro Taper Evo Fat Bars you have?

The link to the pro taper bars doesn’t seem to work. Which bars were they and which adapters did you use?
Looking to do this upgrade soon. Thanks.

Do the hand guards hit the windshield when turned all the way left and right? I tryed a different brand of guards and had to take them off again , cause they wouldn't let me turn all the way

It depends how “rotated forward” you run the bars.
My mirror bars are the first thing to touch the screen, however I can still get the steering lock on etc.
