The acting was so good in Queen of tears that I didn't even nitpick at the continuity of anything that everyone else is complaining about. Like it doesn't even matter. It was so well written and acted out that the smaller things everyone is nitpicking at don't matter.

You know after watching this channel I understood that k netizens is basically nitpicking audiences who can't differentiate personal and professional life and actors are also humans and deserves to live a life and acting is their livelihood and it does not demand them to be role models for the public cuz nobody can be a role model for anyone nobody is perfect and has many flaws so is applied to these actors

When I see comments about Goodbye Earth and other good K-dramas (Queen of Tears, for example) I realize there are so many others much dumber than me. And I don't listen to those I'm smarter than -- they don't understand what they are talking about. They just have a mouth and a mediocre brain and know how to talk. Very little real thinking going on with these folks.
anyhting that gets "too famous" will be criticized for the silliest reasons ever, people complaining about queen of tears for taking a certain direction in the last few eps like it's never happened before, even tho there are other shows who followed similar routes and are technically worse than queen of tears in terms of writing & story telling but you'll still see the same people hating on qof defending those shows lol, at least in qof all the events were leading up to what happened in the last few eps, unlike some dramas where people lose their memories out of nowhere ...

The axtors played their roles very good. Yeo Si Je did a fantastic job. She was nominated at the International Arts in New York for her role. I do not believe what this commentator is saying about Queen of Tears. It should NOT be on this list. Its by far the best Korean show ...EVER. I was so engrossed in the show that I didn't even notice any of the things she is mentioning here.

@@TheStig47 What I have come to realize with netizens is this, sometimes it’s not even about the drama, some did not even watch the drama, but because the lead actor/actress featured with someone other than their approved actor/actress, that is a point loss already. Like in this situation, SYJ fans (even though she was in a relationship when IONTBO was filmed) saw KJW as a threat, therefore, no matter how she acts, they will only look for what to criticize. Likewise, you have JCW (love struck in the city) and PSJ (FFMW), even SSK (liberation notes) fans saying, the chemistry between the leads in QOT isn’t as good. Forgetting this is their livelihood, having a good chemistry with their leads means they are good. Meanwhile, I am of the old school of thoughts, you don’t have to have a lot of kissing and skinship scenes to show your chemistry, even the look in your eyes should be enough to say these people are in love, body language goes a long way for me. QOT gave me this.
When it comes to Queen of tears I fully agree. Brain cancer is no laughing joke and victims of this disease go through hell and look really bad. I don't bye into the "it's just a show" senseless argument. Of all the diseases out there they could have chosen something else. The last third of the series was a sad joke which is unfortunate since the 2 main leads did a great acting job. For me there's a fine line which writers should not cross and they did it in spades.
I think it’s “CLOUD CYTOMA”. I tried searching it up, but could not find anything to that effect, I will like to believe it’s the writer’s creation. Since it has never happened, we can’t say “this is how it should or should not be”.
I had cancer. I know whst it feels like. I know the emotion that goes with it. This is a tough disease. I just did not like the way Ji Won played her character with just a blank face. A little research of how patients feel and what they go through would have helped. You are right though. I feel a different disease or event would have been better
Queen of tears, honestly it has nothing special apart from the fantastic chemistry between the two protagonists, in fact I don't understand why it is so acclaimed by the public, the writer of this series wrote a much better story with "Crash Landing On You ".
@@mechita6038Which is where choice comes in, personally, I stopped watching CLOY at episode 4, I went that far because I love the lead, and the rave about it, but it wasn’t just me, that doesn’t make it not good, it’s just not my kind of jam. I wouldn’t waste my time till the last episode on something that isn’t resonating with me. I actually recommend it to people, meaning, just cause I don’t like it doesn’t mean someone else might not. I like movies / drama that raises my adrenaline, I want to know what happens in the next episode as quick as possible.
Actually, there are real people who choose death instead of losing their loved memories, or just embracing the death from multiple illness without sacrificing time indulging in surgeries and medicine instead living their fullest at given time. Am not saying which ever choices are wrong or right, but there are people in real life who choose the other side.
I agree with you. The decision this character had was tough. The surgery was not 100%. I had cancer so I can comment about the blank looks were not the right way to portrait this chatacter. I think that is where I felt confised in the story. There were a few missteps. But it was a good Hall Mark type show

I have found that many critics of great dramas jump on line to be the first to criticize them. They have not even watched all of the drama which they admit. Queen of Tears was a great melodrama with two magnificent lead actors. Most of the “ problems” sited here were political in nature. People all over the world loved this drama and continue to watch it months after its last episodes. We are now talking about billions of people that have viewed this wonderful drama. I think I’m going to agree with the billions that loved it instead of the few critics here. Putting QOTS on the cover page is also a clever way of guaranteeing that people will join the conversation. Sometimes people need to chill and stop being an extreme woke. These are films for us to be entertained and with characters who have opinions based on their characters. They can be bias, racist and other revolting opinions and personalities depending on what the story is trying to portray through them. So, don't take them too personal. If you don't like the film or Kdrama, then, don't watch or support it. It is exhausting sometimes to watch people become so judgmental creating more censorship than there should have when it comes to art work. Having said that, it is also the responsibility of the production of the films or KDramas to be responsible enough in regards to their freedom of expression with their art work and be mindful of the message they are imparting to their audience.

And, wokeness is for people who want everything to be inclusive yet criticize and judge people who have different opinions than theirs. It has to be their way of thinking or highway, so chill. This channel begins to go in the direction of promoting judgemental mentality in its scripts and not in an uplifting manner. I used to enjoy this channel's videos because it is clear and well done. But, lately, it seems to promote and create more intrigues without basis and join in the bandwagon of damaging reputations even for alleged actions rather than uplifting people or projects. Constructive criticisms are good, but we have to be mindful of how we present them. Again, like you said, my personal opinion. If this is the kind you like, enjoy it, but I don't.
I agree with the comments of QOT. Especially the Africa comments ,at this rate korean dramas should just leave Africa out of their mess. They are not educated about the continent so just leave us out . Surely we can not be having these kind of problems in 2024,it seems like the industry will only respect us when we start boycotting their dramas.
No way should Queen of Tears be on this list. I’ve had 2 rounds of life threatening cancer in the past 10 years, and I certainly didn’t lose my shit over the series’ treatment of serious illness. I recognized that it’s entertainment, not a literal life shown on camera. Also the comments of the wealthy family regarding Africa isn’t insensitive, it’s showing you the mindset and culture of this family. Is it the most PC viewpoint? No, it isn’t and neither are they.
I'm surprised by the fact that even though it did seem a little off with the hae-in's illness, not shaving her head(I absolutely didn't have time to think about that), and stuff I had a great experience while being an INTP doing biology as my main stream for A/L s. (that could've been bc of my anxiety though). I let out a lot of stress and tears while watching this which I'm really grateful for bc I needed that. I always used to think that I was a very overthinking person until I saw this, guys I'm good. And btw despite the smaller details Kim Ji Won's acting was marvelous and the character development, plot after plot after plot just as Ksh described was amazing. And the chemistry between the two! It brought up the topics and issues which it was based on very well, the marriage problems while living as a chaebol and family's importance. Ofc everyone can have their opinions likewise I say it's a great series to watch with your partner. And during her hardest times especially at the conference, she didn't look that pretty in my eyes, no offense.
I know a lot feel Ji Won played her role well. I agree with the Baeksang Org. She just had a blank stare almost all the time. Charbols don't do that. She had hardly any emotion for her disease. I thought maybe that was her take on the role. Then, I reviewed another show she played in. The same blank face. I was surprised
I sometimes feel humans are allergic to success, once something or someone is successful, people starts looking for mistakes instead of celebrating that success. I actually watched this cause I saw QOT in the heading, and I would like to think so did many others. If out of 100, someone got a 70, that is still a pass.

Park Seo Joon was in Concrete Utopia with Ji Won and there were dating rumors with them. The dating rumors contimued and he started getting criticized in other ways and not getting the other parts he should have. Song Joong Ki went through first the divorce rumors and then getting married to a brit. Now, people are hatimg on him. So all these bloggers are just annoyimh me because they don't realize that their lies the constant stalking and what not do and can ruin an actors career. Qot is one of the best dramas in Korean history, yess some characters were annoying but k dramas were becoming boring and average, it ignited the hallyu wave again
My only problem is that I believe Soo Hyun is a really good actor. I worry that Ji Won, who seems to have dating rumors with every leading male actor, is using Soo Hyun to boost her career which it did by 175% and he'll end up screwing up his career. It almost happened to Park Seo Joon in Concrete Utopia. He said he got all kinds of criticizms. Just hope Soo Hyun is smart enough to move on from his part and come back down to real life
I noticed the same thing. Ji Won didn't portrait the disease at all. Many times, she just had a blank face. One you see often in her other shows. I agree that they messed up when it came to the illness. Brain surgery and no shaved hair? Seriously!! Obviously, the viewers do not know anyone who has had a brain tumor. So she was not snubbed by the Baeksang Awards...she just didn't play the part well. Soo Hyuns acting was good and good enough to help the movies success. However, he has played better roles. I don't think he picked the right movie to win the Baeksang...they agreed. It didn't hurt his cateer but it truly did not help The remainder of the cast did a great job. The movie was what they call in the states a Hallmark movie. It was good but not award worthy.
You forgot something, she acted according to the script. Having a surgery, yes there should be a shaved site, not the entire head depending on the location, but that is still the director’s call. But portraying the disease?, people are just looking for criticism, what I was able to deduce was that she was having symptoms. As a health practitioner, I have seen patients that actually walked in by themselves, take their chemo or radiotherapy, then go home by themselves. Depending on the stage, early stages of brain cancer would be blurred vision, loss of balance, confusion, seizures, she showed these symptoms which was what led to the diagnosis. I will like to say that was probably why they picked “cloud cytoma” a disease which according to Google does not really exist, meaning it was just for the purpose of the drama. People should be lenient in their criticism, the writer is the creator of the story, she gets to decide how she wants it to be. Just like someone said earlier, if we want reality, then we should stick to documentary or non-fiction stories, then we can argue that the writer took from or added to the story, but for something that has never happened or doesn’t relate to anyone, it’s her story, she gets to decide how she wants it to be. On a side note, side effect of chemo is actually what breaks people down, because according to cancer.gov, “chemotherapy not only kills fast-growing cells, but also kills or slows the growth of healthy cells that grow and divide quickly”. Personally, I believe in miracles, but the writer did not go that route, she chose the route of “love conquers all”. She survived because of hope, which surprisingly and with evidence is actually real.

I didn't even like Kdramsa but I fell in love with Queen of Tears after trying ep 1. tbh, the first 13 episodes were so great but the last 3 were kind of rushed but still I wouldn't change my mind, and can confidently say it's one of the best show in the past years. would easily rate it 16/10 💯

@@TheStig47 What I have come to realize with netizens is this, sometimes it’s not even about the drama, some did not even watch the drama, but because the lead actor/actress featured with someone other than their approved actor/actress, that is a point loss already. Like in this situation, SYJ fans (even though she was in a relationship when IONTBO was filmed) saw KJW as a threat, therefore, no matter how she acts, they will only look for what to criticize. Likewise, you have JCW (love struck in the city) and PSJ (FFMW), even SSK (liberation notes) fans saying, the chemistry between the leads in QOT isn’t as good. Forgetting this is their livelihood, having a good chemistry with their leads means they are good. Meanwhile, I am of the old school of thoughts, you don’t have to have a lot of kissing and skinship scenes to show your chemistry, even the look in your eyes should be enough to say these people are in love, body language goes a long way for me. QOT gave me this.

When it comes to Queen of tears I fully agree. Brain cancer is no laughing joke and victims of this disease go through hell and look really bad. I don't bye into the "it's just a show" senseless argument. Of all the diseases out there they could have chosen something else. The last third of the series was a sad joke which is unfortunate since the 2 main leads did a great acting job. For me there's a fine line which writers should not cross and they did it in spades.
I think it’s “CLOUD CYTOMA”. I tried searching it up, but could not find anything to that effect, I will like to believe it’s the writer’s creation. Since it has never happened, we can’t say “this is how it should or should not be”.
I had cancer. I know whst it feels like. I know the emotion that goes with it. This is a tough disease. I just did not like the way Ji Won played her character with just a blank face. A little research of how patients feel and what they go through would have helped.

I wouldn’t waste my time till the last episode on something that isn’t resonating with me. I actually recommend it to people, meaning, just cause I don’t like it doesn’t mean someone else might not. I like movies / drama that raises my adrenaline, I want to know what happens in the next episode as quick as possible.

I think that is where I felt confised in the story. There were a few missteps. But it was a good Hall Mark type show

I have found that many critics of great dramas jump on line to be the first to criticize them. They have not even watched all of the drama which they admit. Queen of Tears was a great melodrama with two magnificent lead actors. Most of the “ problems” sited here were political in nature. People all over the world loved this drama and continue to watch it months after its last episodes. We are now talking about billions of people that have viewed this wonderful drama. I think I’m going to agree with the billions that loved it instead of the few critics here. Putting QOTS on the cover page is also a clever way of guaranteeing that people will join the conversation. Sometimes people need to chill and stop being an extreme woke. These are films for us to be entertained and with characters who have opinions based on their characters. They can be bias, racist and other revolting opinions and personalities depending on what the story is trying to portray through them. So, don't take them too personal. If you don't like the film or Kdrama, then, don't watch or support it. It is exhausting sometimes to watch people become so judgmental creating more censorship than there should have when it comes to art work. Having said that, it is also the responsibility of the production of the films or KDramas to be responsible enough in regards to their freedom of expression with their art work and be mindful of the message they are imparting to their audience.

This channel begins to go in the direction of promoting judgemental mentality in its scripts and not in an uplifting manner. I used to enjoy this channel's videos because it is clear and well done. But, lately, it seems to promote and create more intrigues without basis and join in the bandwagon of damaging reputations even for alleged actions rather than uplifting people or projects. They are not educated about the continent so just leave us out . No way should Queen of Tears be on this list. I’ve had 2 rounds of life threatening cancer in the past 10 years, and I certainly didn’t lose my shit over the series’ treatment of serious illness. I recognized that it’s entertainment, not a literal life shown on camera. Also the comments of the wealthy family regarding Africa isn’t insensitive, it’s showing you the mindset and culture of this family. Is it the most PC viewpoint? No, it isn’t and neither are they.

I'm surprised by the fact that even though it did seem a little off with the hae-in's illness, not shaving her head(I absolutely didn't have time to think about that), and stuff I had a great experience while being an INTP doing biology as my main stream for A/L s. (that could've been bc of my anxiety though). I let out a lot of stress and tears while watching this which I'm really grateful for bc I needed that.
I always used to think that I was a very overthinking person until I saw this, guys I'm good.
And btw despite the smaller details Kim Ji Won's acting was marvelous and the character development, plot after plot after plot just as Ksh described was amazing. And the chemistry between the two!

I actually watched this cause I saw QOT in the heading, and I would like to think so did many others. If out of 100, someone got a 70, that is still a pass.

Park Seo Joon was in Concrete Utopia with Ji Won and there were dating rumors with them. The dating rumors contimued and he started getting criticized in other ways and not getting the other parts he should have. Song Joong Ki went through first the divorce rumors and then getting married to a brit. Now, people are hatimg on him. So all these bloggers are just annoyimh me because they don't realize that their lies the constant stalking and what not do and can ruin an actors career. My only problem is that I believe Soo Hyun is a really good actor. I worry that Ji Won, who seems to have dating rumors with every leading male actor, is using Soo Hyun to boost her career which it did by 175% and he'll end up screwing up his career. I noticed the same thing. Ji Won didn't portrait the disease at all. Many times, she just had a blank face. One you see often in her other shows. I agree that they messed up when it came to the illness. Brain surgery and no shaved hair? Seriously!! Obviously, the viewers do not know anyone who has had a brain tumor. So she was not snubbed by the Baeksang Awards...she just didn't play the part well.
Soo Hyuns acting was good and good enough to help the movies success. However, he has played better roles. I don't think he picked the right movie to win the Baeksang...they agreed. It didn't hurt his cateer but it truly did not help
The remainder of the cast did a great job. The movie was what they call in the states a Hallmark movie. It was good but not award worthy.
You forgot something, she acted according to the script. Having a surgery, yes there should be a shaved site, not the entire head depending on the location, but that is still the director’s call. But portraying the disease?, people are just looking for criticism, what I was able to deduce was that she was having symptoms. As a health practitioner, I have seen patients that actually walked in by themselves, take their chemo or radiotherapy, then go home by themselves. Depending on the stage, early stages of brain cancer would be blurred vision, loss of balance, confusion, seizures, she showed these symptoms which was what led to the diagnosis. I will like to say that was probably why they picked “cloud cytoma” a disease which according to Google does not really exist, meaning it was just for the purpose of the drama. People should be lenient in their criticism, the writer is the creator of the story, she gets to decide how she wants it to be. Just like someone said earlier, if we want reality, then we should stick to documentary or non-fiction stories, then we can argue that the writer took from or added to the story, but for something that has never happened or doesn’t relate to anyone, it’s her story, she gets to decide how she wants it to be. On a side note, side effect of chemo is actually what breaks people down, because according to cancer.gov, “chemotherapy not only kills fast-growing cells, but also kills or slows the growth of healthy cells that grow and divide quickly”. Personally, I believe in miracles, but the writer did not go that route, she chose the route of “love conquers all”. She survived because of hope, which surprisingly and with evidence is actually real.

I didn't even like Kdramsa but I fell in love with Queen of Tears after trying ep 1. tbh, the first 13 episodes were so great but the last 3 were kind of rushed but still I wouldn't change my mind, and can confidently say it's one of the best show in the past years. would easily rate it 16/10 💯

Specially since a lot had high expectations bc it promoted divorce thematic. And adding the famous actors the bar was set so much higher. But it was really a down fall. So much unnecessarily stuff. They could have used the divorce thematic so much more and adresses cultural issues.
Also they could have made the FL more independent.

About the husband. I said that a lot got annoyed of people saying it is such a good representation of femnisim or that people hate the female main characters bc she had fault. People criticise that it is still stereotypes female in the wrong light. While in others drama male chabol marry cute female with flaws. She needed to marry someone perfect, and he his just unrealistic perfect. The only "negative" about him is that he from a farmer background and lacks in communication. But she is the sterotypical(also used in western movies) bitchy boss but she is crazy suksessful. You can be successful as a women without having a temper.
