most writers prepare 2 endings duh. coz u never know how ppl will like it. ALL i wish is they release a blu ray with all the deleted scenes (uncut version) and alternate ending. I would freakin buy that!
The scene that never made it onto the drama that was biggest disappointment is where Hae-In watches hyunwoos video to recover her memories. My prediction is that hyunwoo sent his video plus the notebook to haein and she was suppose to read and watch the video but they cut it out. Sucks that they put that in the preview at end of episode but never showed it in following episode. That scene wouldve made the discovery of her husband more emotional. Also they shouldve cut out the gun scene if hyunwoo already got ran over. Its impossible to get hit by car like that and still go into a storm to fight
The intention of the writer was not much about clinging on the past 5 years of memories but more about making cherished memories in the next 50 years together.
right. Hyunwoo being run over is not that crazy. It could happen in real life. Had the story been him being run over in front of Hae-in, her accompanying him to the hospital, helping him recover, that would have been enough. then we would haver more time to go through her memory recovery, her falling in love with her husband, etc.... I don't mind the kidnap plus the shootout, but it's something we can do without, given the time restraint.
There’s just no satisfying fans. If it’s a happy ending, it’s cliche; if a sad ending, it’s traumatic. If there are so many twists, it’s unrealistic; if it focuses on one thing only, it’s boring. Geez give them a break. Was the writing perfect? No. But was it entertaining? Absolutely. I watch kdrama to escape reality, not to be traumatized by ultra-realistic portrayal of life.
the biggest problem here is that , it's sooo hard now to choose which drama to watch next 😂😭😭 cant move on from this.. and Soo Hyun probably won't do any dramas till next year or after.... 😢 have to wait again years for him
Actually I already saw potential casting news on Soompi that he was offered a role in a drama recently... Idk if he'll take it though. I was super surprised because like you, I've been under the impression that it'll be a couple of years. Idk when news outlets decide to publish casting offers because I'm sure actors always receive a ton of them, so if you were to write an article for every single one, that's just not practical. But in general, confirmed casting news is almost always revealed super late after the fact when they're in the middle of filming. It makes me think of "Blood Free" because I literally just saw an article about the synopsis and casting offers and then it was already out with photo teasers of the cast...
Soo hyun and Jiwon will probably gonna have a hard time picking up their next project 😂😅 QoT is a big hit , anyways whatever drama Soo hyun will pick, I'll watch it hahaha though idk when that is 😂@@SiL-ox3ho
I liked the ending we got. I wanted a happy ending, but I also liked that they made us think she MIGHT die. It built the suspense and caused us to be worried about her, but in the end we got the ending we wanted and deserved.
The 2044 tombstone is doctored, someone asked the person who posted the picture and they said it was just for fun. One thing to note about the two different tombstones is that if it is made by the production team, there's no reason for one being in Korean and the other in English.
But the writer park Ji-en done much better job in dramas like crash landing on you 🔥 and my love from the star ✨ Queen of tears is nothing in front of these dramas Queen of tears storyline had many problems but still it was one time watchable ❤
I am seeing so many deleted scenes at X esp in Germany ( kissing scenes) i don't understand why they did not show it during the episodes and why do it now? what for? The latter part of the drama was anticlimactic for me, too many plots and storyline without a proper closure and was focused on the protagonists. it was the lead actors who carried the story and not the other way around, at the end.
Indeed, we all have different reactions to the drama. For me, I was overly ecstatic watching it until Episode 11 then my interest went downhill and never regained my interest until the ending. Since it was the chemistry between the Kimkim couple that got me hooked inthe first place, I was hoping to see more if. But I felt that almost all scenes between the Haein and Baekhyun after Episode 5 were calculated , reserved and stuck in a plateau. Well it doesnt really matter if some of us were not as pleased, it still broke the record and made history 🙂
I loved the ending it was perfect but I didn’t like the fact that Hang Hae-in never found out that Baek Hyun-woo was the one who saved her from drowning when she was younger. They allowed her to think Yoon Eun-seong did.
Is there a deleted scene where hae-in discovers that hyunwoo saved her from drowning because I’m disappointed that they never showed this in the show itself. This as well as the video he recorded for her towards the end of the later episodes. I thought that video would be used to help her regain her memory but it became an afterthought
Realistically 10 to 12 years after surgery and the tumor returns is more realistic. Sad but the present end is happier but I agree it's too short and not enough to validate the whole movie since there was so much going on
My aunt had a stomach cancer it was on 3rd stage i think but she fought through it and is doing well right niw because it can relapse she gets checked constantly but thankfully all good for now Cancer ia dangerous but it can go away not necessarily everyone has to die although the ratio is low but the hope is there
First, I'd like to thank you for showing us the real scene to this drama episodes. One thing that was incompetent was that video taken by the lead actor was supposed to be seen by Haein..it would be more intense and dramatic to watched. Why delete it? It was on the episode..we should have seen it together with the notebook..it's true that the drama was too short where should have been more to see like there happiest moment when they have a child and more interesting parts. I think they make shorter because of the budget. That's the main reason..otherwise, it still be going on if the star cast leading is a budget paid. It's a pity that ends too short..but, we still hoping that these two will be paired again in a beautiful and romantic love story..thanks
There was a kissing scene that was supposed to be shown in ep 15, which was shown in the preview on ep 14 on Netflix but they didn't show it but it was in a video that tvn released on instagram which included some of the unshown scenes
i honestly wished it ended with a sad ending. the drama would’ve been so much more impactful and heartbreakingly live up to its name of “queen of tears”. i’ve gone through so many kdramas with happy ending that whenever i find a sad one it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
They could of stretch the episides longer instead of episode 16 maybe all the missing scenes be on there even with their romance when it alk started b4 getting marrie❤❤d
Also agree. But I guess it is really, really hard to predict just how many episodes are appropriate AND would be profitable. In 2 more episodes, I would have liked to understand what drove the grandfather's mistress to be the way that she was. I also would have liked a little more wrap-up with Hae In's assistant - like, how they 1st encountered each other, how did the assistant figure out that it was OK to be (cautiously) frank and truthful with Hae In, etc. And at least a LITTLE, quick catch up on what happened with the nephew, the assistant's baby, Hae In's daughter, and the other children. Having said all that, I am absolutely with those who liked the ending. ...Truthfully, I felt RELIEVED that the story ended the way that it did. It would have been immeasurably sad if the male lead had gone through ALL of that, only to wind up alone and sad at the end. There was nothing to "learn" had she wound up dying so soon. So, I think that within the scope of the story, this happy ending was appropriate. ❤
Honestly I find QOT quite dragging and shallow from 1-12 ep but I would say they were able to redeemed it and make the drama more interesting especially the last 4 episodes from 13-16, w/a happy ending, Was it as good as CLOY ? No, why? coz CLOY was able to captured a high viewership and utmost attention from ep 2 till the last , and tha clamor from the viewers are unbelievable 6 years after they're still 1 of the most viewed KDRAMA since 2019 until today,
i think to traumatize fans and have lasting memory of the drama, sad ending would've been better. i still think about 2521 ending after all these years. but i loved this QOT ending... it was so beautiful.
The photographer said on someone's repost of her photo that she knew they were filming because of all the cameras and someone (I think she said staff? Icr) telling her they were famous actors.
hmm i think the ending is really Haein will live 50 yrs in case she'll be cured, i just rewatch the series again and on ep 4 wherein she gave HW an envelope- it says she has a clinical chance to live above 50% then HW was so stressful at that time that if HI survive then she'll live another 50 yrs and HW will suffer for another 50 yrs
I believe they film many sets of ending ..bec of the huge success and clamor of fans( me included)it is a happy ending. But if it turn out that it is just average success it will be sad ending. As Kim Soo Hyun said they can make many endings.❤❤❤
There's a lot of plot holes and useless things that resulted due to the director's decision of making it a happy ending. She would've been able to address every single one of them if she opted for the sadder one, i.e. Hyun-woo's video and notebook weren't utilized to let Hae-in remember. Still, I appreciate them ending it happily, although that might've been because of the watchers' desires. The ending should've been similar to Stairway to Heaven's or Scarlet Heart Ryeo's.
The ending is not bad but definitely not the original. It's too rush and 16 episodes only with so many deleted scenes and some unsolved plots, seems it must be a budget issue.
And maybe it’s because they are both involved with life partners and wanted to be respectful to them. You will see that most likely Hyun Bin won’t ever kiss another actress in a Kdrama from now on. Korean directors and producers are different from American directors and producers. They respect the actors real life partners.
Thank God. Director had some sense to give us a good ending 👏
Thank you because I'd still be crying
Queen of Tears had a perfect ending imo. It was a complete love story.
For me it was disappointing, it went well until the last 2 episodes that felt rushed and changed everything.
I agree, the ending was really beautiful but it felt abit rushed, I wished there were more kiss scenes though

Awww I smiled at your comment! I am not that emotional person but was a complete wrack for the past week after watching the show 😭

This is a drama story, is not sa real story. For me the writter of The Queen of Tears she do amazing story in this drama. I really admire her.

The real life version had the guy having affairs and staying divorced..
Honestly, I was ready for QOT to have sad ending as it seems the natural flow.
QOTS already ended and very satisfied how the drama ended. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Nothing can beat a horrible ending than what the writer of Startup gave us. I am still having a nightmare until now.
Thank goodness they didn't 2521 us LOL🤣
What's that?

Noticed in the sad ending clip, she would have died at 1031
Eu achei que poderíamos ter mais cenas felizes pelo menos no último episódio. Foi muito sofrimento ao longo da série para poucas cenas felizes 😊
The riff between them was due to her miscarriage. It's when he started sleeping in the room. It was the baby room he was sleeping in.
still curious,.. did haein known who was save her when she drown?
It seems only the moms realised it
no. and this is the part I am not happy about. there is still so much to tell, but the director decided to call it quit. booooo
