Thanks to your video I discovered I purchased the WRONG Quinacridone Red! Daniel Smith labels a PV19 as Quinacridone Red, while its true Quin Red is labeled as a coral. Thank you for enlightening me! I have gotten myself a Quin Coral for my limited palette, as I needed a warm red.
Yay, you featured Quin Coral, one of my all time favorite colors! I think I might have been the one who suggested it to you, but maybe someone else did as well. Your color mixes with it are wonderful, especially the purple mix. Fabulous video!
Yes Morrison! It was absolutely you who suggested Quinacridone Coral!! If I could pick one red for my palette now, I would choose this one. Thank you! Have a lovely weekend.
Yes! I love Quinacridone coral. I hardly notice the difference with the Windsor and newton quin red. I use quin coral to create a lightfast Moonglow with Viridian and ultramarine. But mostly I love it as it is or to mix beautiful oranges. Thank you so much for your videos. They are informative and relaxing.
Merci beaucoup ! ♥️
@@WatercolorElisabetta Sennelier is the best. That is the one I always prefer but this time was out of stock. It is heavily pigmented and more brilliant than the other brands. The WN one that I've bought as a replacement for the Sennelier, is very weak as a mixing colour. I had to scrub into my palette's wells in order to get a good amount of paint and that is the reason why I've run out of it in a matter of days and then I had to buy the Rembrandt one that is a PR207. The PR207 is slightly more orange -ish.
@@creativecolours2022 I’m noticing that everyone seems to have Sennelier except me …I usually buy Sennelier tubes in an independent store here in Turin where there is a nice lady that offers biscuits to my dogs! I might drop in one of these days! I also need to buy warm Sepia which I ADORE… have a nice day!!
@@WatercolorElisabetta The Sennelier Sepia is very cool . It looks more like a VanDyke brown. Very dull. I was talking about the Sennelier Q. Red on my previous comment. It is not all the Sennelier colours that good and some of them are not lightfast too. Their Q. Red though one of the most brilliant and heavily pigmented. Irrelevant but did you see my comments about how to contact me? I gave my website's url but you didn't reply and I suspect that TH-cam delete them or something. I'm talking about sending you the Permanent Alizarin Crimson pan that is actually a half pan because I haven't been left with that much of it. I can send you a new small tube of course but I don't know if the new tubes will contain the same colour with the one that I've swatched and it is from a tube that I bought six months ago.
I’m confused! Yes I know you were talking about quin Red by Sennelier! I added I might also buy warm Sepia (which is different from normal Sepia) that is not cool at all….I saw a link to a web page and I replied with a comment… I didn’t see any comment about your contacts….sorry but I’m a bit confused now
Thank you for the informative video. I am a bit confused how 207 fits into this. Schminke’s and Qor’s Quin Red (light) are made from PR207 and seem nearly the same as the DS PR209.
Hi Martina and thanks for participating to conversation first of all! PR207 is quin scarlet, I only have one tube from Rembrandt. I will soon publish a video where I compare the two. Maybe it was a better idea to include it in this video! Have a nice day 😀
I' have both and the PR209 that is a WN has more pinkish undertones in its tints while the PR207 that is from Rembrandt has more orange -ish ones. In practice though they give almost identical mixes with the PR207 giving more grey-ish undertones when is mixed with blue because it is more orange than pink. But the difference is definitely so slight that there is no way to detect where you used the one or the other on a finished painting.
@@WatercolorElisabetta Sorry, I just saw it now on your list. But I found another DS tube that says PR209 (Rose Madder Perm) and and is like a quin Magenta. I guess those Quin colors are very easy to “manipulate”, since they are all synthetic and very well researched. 😊 thank you again for all your work and interest.
I missed this video! Thanks for making it. I do not have PR209, but I do have PR207. I wonder whether they are similar. I still have to try it in mixes, though. I look forward to your PV55, PR207 and PV42 videos. In the PR207, may you please compare them to the PR209s? Also, PR122 and PR202 are very similar so it would be nice to have them in one video to be able to compare them both.
Quin coral from DS is my absolute favorite red. I like other quin reds as well but I love the special tint of the DS best. The maimeri blue colors look always very wonderful in your videos, I'm sad that they're so terrible expensive in Germany
Yes, quin coral is delightful. I wonder how I could survive without! If you wish, you can try Maimeri at the link in the description box on Momarte, they have incredibly good prices! Thanks for your comment.

@@WatercolorElisabetta let me know how it goes. I think Kim Crick has a video about it.
I have the Sennelier quin red which is also beautiful. I think PR209 has a unique shade that’s difficult to mix, that’s why I like to have it
