The true joy of a daddy-daughter day fishing. Absolutely wonderful. When I was young, around 9-10 I had a pet alligator. This was in the late 60s and they sold them in pet stores. George of The Jungle was about 14" when I got him and I kept him until he was 3 1/2 feet long and we found a home that had more room. Also Colorado wasn't the best environment for gators. Even though George was cuddly and love having his head scratched, the idea of being in the pond with a large gator would be scary to me. Robert, your knowledge of the ecosystems impresses me.

I stopped following for awhile because, as a leader, when faced with these situations, you have to stand up to these people. You are a good man, your heart is second to none. And, men like you stood up against tyrants who take our freedoms. I dont know if you noticed, but our country has changed. Its not for people like you and me anymore. The rules are tightening around fishing and hunting. If we dont stand together now, the very foundation of America will be gone forever. You won't have a fishing channel in 5 years. Why the hell do people freak out and call the cops all the time for fishing in those little retention ponds by people's houses that's found literally everywhere in Florida?! I've seen it time and time again on other's videos, I don't understand why people think they own it like it's their back yard property. Pisses me off.

I think it might have had something to do with all the cameras. I have my house blocked on Google Earth on purpose for the same reason.
Last year I literally had a guy shooting at me across the lagoon from his luxury time share in Pompano Beach FL, even though I was fishing in the mangroves on the public side of the lagoon. It’s just some rich old people who can’t stand seeing ripples or minor disruption on the water near their place.
The beauty of Florida is that you CAN NOT own water in Florida! It is ALL owned by the state, making it public access. I've had people try and kick me out, I generally respond, "I'll be right here when the police arrive", and keep fishing. Any educated cop knows as long as you're not standing on private land (someone's back yard) you are perfectly within your right to fish. Just a fyi you'll.
