lol trust me, 99% of people HATE Bentley for Men Intense on first sniff, but after some time with it grow to appreciate it. The same happens for the regular Bentley for Men. It took me quite a while to like it, but now I can appreciate it. I still don't wear it or recommend it to anyone since I know most people are gonna hate it. It is the same with Encre Noir. So many TH-cam people recommend these two fragrances saying how great they are, but literally no one likes them at first lol. Yes, they are cheap, yes they are creative, but they are the exact opposite of what people want in a fragrance. Takes quite the while to appreciate them
Completely agree, hard to like at first and even regretted it after the first wear. However they stay interesting in the long run because there is so much going on. Those are the kind of fragrances I have for myself and put on whenever I want to. Except at work lmao
The strangest thing happened to me with Encre Noire à l'Extrême. I sniffed all three versions in a shop in Ukraine, around three years ago, just as I was starting my own fragrance journey. I'd just heard of Encre Noire, along with ominous suggestions of a "cat pee" vibe, so when I saw it, them, on the shelf I simply had to find out. Sniffed the "basic one" (EdT?, I forget) and, wow, what a shock, a shock of a very "mixed message" sort because, on the one hand, I found it mesmerizing while, on the other hand, I knew I definitely couldn't risk smelling like...THAT...in public, not among human beings, certainly not among my friends. What would they think?! Then I sniffed the Sport version. Well, yes, same mesmirizing "waft," if less so than the first, same seductively dangerous weirdness, but far less aggressive, just maybe try-able. And then I tried the Extrême, expecting it to repel me right through the shop wall into the next zip code. Sniff.... Nothing. Sniff again. Still nothing. Sprayed it on my skin. Sniffed. Zero. Could have been water. "Extreme"? Compared to what? The EdT was infinitely more pungent (than "water"!). Who knows, maybe the shop had a defective bottle? Anyway, I went with the Sport, which was as daring as I was ready for as a newbie. Now, three years later, I've cottoned to many more challenging scents, and I think those close to me, in my circles, have also gotten accustomed to my sometimes "wafting" in more exotic ways. Plus, on the skin after an hour or two, just about all these fragrances nicely settle down to being part of you, your personal "ambience" and impression. If they don't, you really don't want them. Anyway, I've never gone back to get the "basic" Encre Noire but I really mean to, now that I'm comfortable with stronger stuff. Some time I want to smell the Extreme again, to see whether that "nothing" impression was a fluke.
Omar, have you tried Desir Toxic? It's honestly breath taking, it's like a barber shoppy sweet lightly vanillic shaving soap. At least that's how I feel it. Insane date night scent. Smells like a modern man.
Daarej is good, not the best sillage or projection but its cheap so overspray and smell good. - just ordered oud 24 hours majestic gold after smelling it in the shop it is like an armani stronger with you flanker. great projection and sillage. interested in the mercedes frag

Omar, coupe you elaborate quickly please on what was wrong the first time you had Bentley intense? I bought a bottle last month and returned it immediately as it smelled super powdery and and a bit boozy but nothing else. Could i had a bad bottle or this is how the fragrance is supposed to smell?
i like hearing new choices but i never hear of any of those except for dreamer versace i have tht pne its my work scent til the bottle is gone lol get compliments all the time but its a powdery scent kinda longevity 4-6 hrs max edt of course lol

i bought versace the dreamer in the summer and fell in love with the scent profile but the performance was so and so, today actually is my first time wearing it in a little bit of a cold weather and it's been a little bit over 8 hours and I'm still smelling it on my self while writing this comment it's absolutely STUNNING 😍✨️
and this winter I'm thinking about blind buying bentley for men intense and encre noire a l'extreme because i wanna expand my collection by trying something daring... can't wait!!!

I get 8 hours of performance with The Dreamer all year round. Best scent Versace have ever made in my opinion

@uplightuk8924 idk, maybe my nose is broken because sometimes i get nose blind quickly and sometimes i keep smelling the fragrance and that happens with every cologne, i agree about the dreamer being the best versace but there's one that i haven't tried which is oud noir
Rochas is definitely the best house for cheapies , Rochas l'Homme (32 €/100ml) and Moustache (37€/75ml) are really a steal for the price. With these 2 fragrances your can cover you needs if you have a small budget since Rochas l'Homme is a very versatile and well blended blue fragrance and Moustache can be use for more formal occasions.

I have tested my encre noire al'extreme so many times and it just does not project or perform...not sure what to do about it.

Encre Noire is not a blind buy! It can be worn in very few occasions if any!
Agree, if you like Encre Noir then you wear it for yourself, because it doesn't really suit any situation.
How about Lalique Ombre Noir?
Encre noire a'lextreme is one of my most recently aquired scents...and definitely my most challenging. I only smell....ink. I've worn it around the house a few times and always wind up having to wash it off. Never had covid and I've got 20+ scents...I'm just lost on this one.
I have a similar reaction. It's complex and interesting, but I find the balsamic note off-putting. It starts of wonderfully well but in the dry down becomes more and more unpleasant.

i love encre noir extreme, i mainly get the incense from that one though. It smells like a church or the inside of a cathedral to me.

@@ACE-jg6cm more like on the on the holy and maybe a bit edgy side. Like i sprinkled holy water on my neck. It's good though, particular and uncommon scent with excellent performance 👌

I can't recommend Moustache in 2023. I bought my first bottle in 2021 and absolutely loved it. It had a great level of quality and good performance. The second bottle which i purchased just two months ago is really disappointing. The quality took a little bit of a hit and performance is not good at all.

I bought a bottle of Bentley for men intense about a month ago when I was expecting a quality perfume with a luxurious smell. Actually what I got was a bottle with an insecticide smelling liquid. This opinion of the perfume was not only mine, but of all the dozens of people I let them smell who said the same thing.
I hated Bentley for men intense. It reminds me of cheap liquor too much to wear. tbh, many fragrances I dont wear I use in my car for air freshners, but I was worried about spraying Bentley in my car and getting pulled over and a police officer wondering why it smells like an open container

Omar, you were right about the full size bottle of Bentley Intense. It sucks. Bad! The samples smell amazing. That’s how they get you. This is what you are basing your recommendation on. Buy another full size bottle before you recommend it. I guarantee you will stop recommending it promptly.
