    Such a deal hunter you are :P This is very good. AM4 socket still makes sense since you get to upgrade to different generations and notice the difference + price/performance ratio makes it so appealing.

      Heck yeah! The 1070 alone was a deal, but add in the rest, and it was a no-brainer for me. Not that I need another system lol but it makes for good testing and video :)

    I am running a GTX 1070 on an Intel i7 8700k clocked at 4.7Ghz and 32Gb of DDR4@ 3600Mhz. Picked up the GTX 1070 for £75 on Facebook Marketplace here in the UK. MOBO is Z370 - A - PRO.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hey there! That setup you have is pretty rock solid! Nice! I've also got a 8700k on a gigabyte z390 motherboard and it's solid! The 1070's here people are still asking a lot for them, so when I found this one for $50 I grabbed it!

    Nice! I recently picked up 4 EVGA blower style 1070's for only $60 each, similar to the one you have here. Repasted them and they work great! Hoping to build some budget gaming builds with them for some folks soon.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi there! Yep, I think this 1070 is an oem dell evga like you mentioned! But $60, and you got 4 of them. Wow! I wish I had a couple more at this or that price! I'd build a couple of systems. That reminds me I should repaste mine, too! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it :)

    I sold off my main rig last year, received the one I built for my sister from her. Had a Ryzen 5 2600X 16GB 3200mhz & 1070 Mini. Just installed a clean Win 10 install with a brand new 860 EVO and it is very good, good thing I upgraded the CPU cooler to the AMD tower cooler. And it has a EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Supernova G2. A lot of people ignore older Ryzen, 2nd gen Ryzen is actually a very good budget spot for cheap. 1070 because it's from my favorite generation of GPUs, I plan on getting 1080ti again just to have.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi there. That's a nice system you have there! I personally don't have any 2000 series cpus but had a 3200g that performed well. I've also got a 5600g and 5700x all do great. Those Evo drives are pretty rock solid! The 1070s seem to still have tons of power as my tests showed even in today's games. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!

  • @Geardos1
    @Geardos1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Great setup for the price. A Ryzen 5 5600 upgrade + a faster used gpu would give this generational leap in performance as well, so it could be good for several years.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey there! Yeah the whole setup is solid!! I thought to make it my new serve mobo and drop in a more efficient cpu. I've got a 5700x. And 5600g. Problem is it has no onboard video out to support the G igpu. I'd have to run a dedicated graphics card. Not sure what to do. But sure do love the 10 sata ports lol. Then again I can just use my Asus prime b550 and 5600g for my server upgrade. Shrug.. I'm conflicted. But for all this it's a great deal for what I paid . Cheers!

    I still use my ryzen 7 1800X with a gtx 1070 8gb. This has 16gb ram and the mobo is a rog strix B350-F gaming. I can play all the games I like on it even though it's 7 years old. 😊

    honestly? if you need a low budget PC build for your kid or something, this will probably get the job done i can't lie. i think a 1070 and 1080 will last for a LONG time, just adjust your expectations and it'll last very very long

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hi there. I 100% agree with you. For 1080p this setup works pretty nicely. Drop in a 5700x and a new video card down the line and bam! 1440p instant upgrade.

    • @4m470
      @4m470 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RememberThisTechYou might not even need to upgrade the CPU. It just depends on what your target goals are. If your goal is 60FPS, a 1700X can easily do that. Just get an appropriate GPU that bottlenecks at 4K Ultra-60FPS. I can't see a 1700X go lower than 60FPS on most games.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @4m470 Hi there, and welcome to the channel! Your spot on there for sure! I've got a 6700xt that is in my main pc it would do a lot better, not totally 4k but 1440p. Mainly, I wanted to test this combo I got for a deal, and it did really well. If I want to drop in a 5700x, I can up to win 11 and have a bit more efficient and powerful cpu, but seeing as this one time for now, that shall wait :). Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!

      @@RememberThisTech I have W11 running on my 1700X-R9 Fury X and it's working just fine.
      In fact, it's working better than W10 because W11 automatically installed working AMD drivers. I haven't had any issues with it and so far I've been getting updates.
      If you look at the MS website, all you need is a CPU with TPM 2.0 and my MOBO has that feature, last time I checked. MSI might have taken the feature out with the latest BIOS. Try installing it yourself and see what you think.

    I had my 1070 till just recently, and I really could keep it a little longer for just 1080p gaming, but I happened to have some spare cash for an upgrade recently. I had an i5-7500 which I upgraded way earlier than the GPU because the quad core without hyperthreading just wasn't cutting it anymore.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! What cpu and gpu did you upgrade to? I agree the 1070 is still good for a lot of titles in 1080p. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!

      my 1070 ryzen 1700 pc broke and i bought a optiplex with 1660 super and i5 7500 for like 370ish from microcenter
      its honestly not bad lol
      i do miss the 1070 pc but this pc pretty much does everything i want
      that cpu is trashhhh tho compared to the 1700
      plus the motherboard i have i can upgrade my 1700 to a 5800x3d and the 1070 to a 4070 super
      amd cpus are so much better than intel

      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Word to the wise: use 3000mhz+ RAM on Ryzen 1000. The RAM settings make your system way snappier and yield better frame rate in games.
    Not sure if you tuned your RAM in the video or not. I probably missed it when you said it.

    • @RememberThisTech

      @4m470 Thanks for that tip :) I thought I put the ram in slots 1 3 or 2 4 for dual channel and set the frequency on the bios for the ram. Can't be certain though as I make mistakes and it was a while back :)

    Una compra excelente y como bien dices si se acompaña de un Ryzen de la serie 5000 o mejor uno con x3d como el 5600x3d tienes una base para juegos excelente que puede con casi cualquier grafica de gama alta

I have a 5700x cpu I was thinking of putting in this mobo.. maybe using the setup to upgrade my server, lol. Minus the 1070, of course.. idk qhat to do :(

    I think you got a great deal on that bundle. You are probably limited to PCIE Gen 3 speeds, but a cheap Ryzen 5500, or maybe even a 5600 (non G) would give you a few more years. Alternatively, find a huge old ugly case with lots of 3.5" drive bays, buy a box of used drives off E-Bay, and build a TrueNAS scale server.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! I was thinking I might use it to replace my older 3770 file server. This mobo has 10 sata ports. Problem is that the 1700x is more power-hungry and has no onboard video, so I'd need some low power pcie video card. Maybe drop in a 5600 like you said. I already have a big old giant thermaltake case, lol. Gah idk what to do! ;)

    It seems like it should be better in Cyberpunk, but FSR didn't give you the boost it should have. I'm probably wrong, but I think the 1070 is capable of more. I think the FPS is similar with a 7840HS 780m iGPU

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Cyberpunk is brutal on pascal. Non TI 1080 can only get 60fps at 1080p at medium.. it's not much better than the 1070 in performance.

    Heck yah. The 1070 can handle about anything except Starfield. It doesn't Starfield very well. I picked up a similar system a while back but no gpu. It had an 1800x, and I am surprised how slow it felt. Kinda shocked that it or the 1700x can max a 1070. Not that the 1070 is great, but the single core performance of first gen ryzen was pretty bad.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I read that the first gen Ryzen cpus weren't that great, had low clocks and efficiency. But least I can upgrade the cpu on this board. But the 1070 was a nice score to top this off. Cheers!

      @@RememberThisTech just curious. Do you think the seller thought they were taking advantage of you? Like haha I'm selling him my crap that doesn't work? I mean you got like 300 in good parts. You got the best of the deal, but I sometimes wonder whats going through their heads. I picked up an aorus x370, the 1800x and ram kit for 70. When paying they're like oh it crashes sometimes so i think it has a short. I was thinking "nah. You're trying to cool an 1800x with a wraith stealth. Duh" parts were just fine with a good cooler, but i felt like they were trying to pull a fast one.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ItIsNot1984 You know idk what was going on in the guy's mind. I know that in the back of my head I was wondering, whats wrong with all these parts there's goto be a hitch for these prices.. The 1070 goes for 75 to 100 alone here. I had to take the chance. But I've got plenty of beefy aftermarket coolers power supplies etc. Plenty of test parts. But for the video I figured use all I bought for the build and test as is. Worked nicely. I didn't try and oc anything. Might drop in my 5700x though :). Psh other people think they need the newest shinniest tech, for a few more fps. Let them sell us the old tech! Love these scores!
