I am a machinist and that's not an easy thing to do on a small manual lathe. To turn a shaft that long and have no taper from one end to the other. I think you did a great job. 👍
My brother built and installed vertical mills for several years…I bought a 48 inch used lathe that the previous owner said was a piece of scrap so I bought it …my brother brought home a 48 inch piece of 1.5 inch chrome cylinder rod.. threw it up in my new lathe ran a dial indicator in place of a cutter then showed me how to adjust the longitudinal ways…about 6 hours later I had a brand new lathe.. I found out later the previous owner had drop the lathe unloading the day he bought…one of the best deals of my life..
Always love the shop fabrication videos. Mike, i know you know it, but I will say it again…, having MBTS in your “employ” is priceless, if nothing else for the comic relief, but he is a wealth of knowledge on a lot of your builds. BTW, your hose guide/clamp/holders are “genius”..! Simple, and so practical. Great video, Thank you sir.
Now I didn't know that about magnets affecting the steel when welding. Thank you, Aaron 🤓🤓🤓 Watching you turn the pin in the lathe was interesting, the spiral was mesmerising 😂😂😂 You will have to rename the super stick now...... 🤔 I suggest table spoon, that is how it looks now on the 210 😂💪
Noticed that your recycling area is still neat. The rocks seem to have worked. 😎 Those yellow work stands are looking good. The man behind the scene is right those 7" cutting disk cut real fast.
What ever you do Mike and MBTS, don't change the way you do things. You both are able to get through the day with a smile mostly, it's very infectious when watching your escapades. 😄
Another great welding project…..When you took the excavator outside your shop and extending the super stick, the actions looked like a giant Praying Mantis. A Super ‘Praying Mantis’ Stick. 😂 Cheers Steve Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Looking forward to seeing the stick back in action in its new home. Wishing you and your family the best.
Well that’s a awesome shirt u may be onto something there. Going to be cool to see the super stick doing it’s thing in the 210 shop days there is always something to do 👍👋🇨🇦
You men are amazing and everybody that watches you on TH-cam thinks the same thing What a perfect job thank you for the video until the next one be safe and careful
Fantastic modification! Eyeballs! (Love the shirt!) Sure glad you noticed the different pin size before you welded it in place! That would have been miserable to fix. Thanks Mike & Aaron! Lee
Mike, you and Aaron together are like a well oiled machine, you just work so well together, and come up with great ideas, when you are both thinking of how to appreocah each project. Great team! Also Awesome job on the Lathe work, on getting those entire pins turned down. Would be really nice if you ever got a plasma cutter for your shop there, Maybe someday?? Aaron, awesome job on all the weilding. Mike your welding is nothing to sneeze at either! Would like to see Aaron paint that quick coupler attachment yellow though! Thought that would of had Aaron weld and repair the bucket on that as well, but maybe another video?? Great video and thanks for sharing.
DP was so inspired by MBTS all those years ago that he laid down a solid weld on the Super Stick. Welder, Business manager, Color Theorist, Tireless font of creativity and inspiration to others. He was... The Machine Behind the Scenes.
I wondered if someone was going to mention the holes in the bucket? They use it for dredging mud so they need the holes to allow air to escape the bucket instead of the operators windshield.Just my guess.
Well, the 210 will definitely handle the super stick. Be interesting to see it in action and see what your thoughts are. Nice job on the change over. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
From a casual observer, the 210 looked a lot more firmly planted than the 120 with it stretched out. This is kind of one of those once an a while tools, that really comes in handy when you really need it.
Howdy Mr. Dirt, Time to make a new sci-fi movie - "The claw that ate Derby"!! Awesome video! One way or another - things get done!! It needs yellow paint! Thumbs up! Stay safe! Jim
Another outstanding piece of ingenuity. What will be next? Hydraulic steering for the 'tile plough' so you can lay them on a curved path? May be too much stress!
Nice save checking the pin and Aaron shirt will definitely open your eyes for sure and I’m with you on that too much yellow ain’t a good thing but the saw dogs are bright enough plus your weld job held most excellent DP 👍😎🇺🇸 NY

Especially with the minimum training and experience that he has

Great video,
Thank you sir.
Hate to miss it but you’re right. Lol
Y’all do phenomenal work! Love all your videos. Thanks Mike and Aaron. Remember C&C Equipment for all your hydraulic hose and couplings! 😃👍👊👏

Hi Mike,

You and Aaron could easily start a business making specialized custom equipment!!
Awesome welding job, Aaron. DP, you also. With the two of you, you can't fail! Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
Paint that stick to make it look nice on the 210 .
And not yellow 😊😊
Paint it black to match
Bright yellow is the only option. Just wait for next DP vacation. 😁😁😁

Awesome job guys.
Now I didn't know that about magnets affecting the steel when welding. Thank you, Aaron 🤓🤓🤓

Always a good video from Mike and Aaron.
Awesome job guys
The weld reaction to magnets was called arc blow, however you can end up fighting arc blow any time especially on large jobs
You guys are the mad scientists of the home engineering kind.
That shop and the MBTS saves you a lot of Money, You guys are impressive fabricators.
Custom observation ports on that bucket are so cute and unique! Should be proud of them!!
Those are for drainage. Very carefully calculated for optimal water dispersion ;)
Helps let the water out during dredging!
Great work guys👍
Man you guys are fun !
I could have had a lot of fun working with the two of you . 🤠
As thin as the tube is, those gussets were spot on. Great job guys.

Awesome, great project, thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Noticed that your recycling area is still neat. The rocks seem to have worked. 😎 Those yellow work stands are looking good. The man behind the scene is right those 7" cutting disk cut real fast.
7" discs ? 9" and 12" more better !! Actually I usually use a 9.
What ever you do Mike and MBTS, don't change the way you do things. You both are able to get through the day with a smile mostly, it's very infectious when watching your escapades. 😄
You guys build enough gadgets and gizmos for the excavators maybe it would be worthwhile to fab up a couple more mounts? Good winter project.
Another great welding project…..When you took the excavator outside your shop and extending the super stick, the actions looked like a giant Praying Mantis. A Super ‘Praying Mantis’ Stick. 😂 Cheers Steve Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Now instead of Aaron's favorite color a coat of black so the stick matches the Hyundai!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Looking forward to seeing the stick back in action in its new home. Wishing you and your family the best.
You Two work so well together. Fantastic God Bless from the UK...

That's right, test it in the lawn and Mrs. Dirt Perfect will have you by the short and curlys.
Arrons painting is awesome
That’s pretty dang cool now i want to see it doing what you build it for
Nice definitely a new bucket needed
Turned out awesome. Can't wait for the next big project.
Aaron's a Ace welder.
Fantastic modification! Eyeballs! (Love the shirt!) Sure glad you noticed the different pin size before you welded it in place! That would have been miserable to fix. Thanks Mike & Aaron! Lee
I sure like those bright yellow stands
On the hose holder use nilock nuts or a jam nut to keep them from backing off. Thumbs up 👍

You all are so much fun to watch! I love the "eyeballs"!!😂
Hi Mike & Aaron & Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mike & Aaron & Friends Randy
51:40 that bucket needs some love -- the welder was right there
I wondered if someone was going to mention the holes in the bucket?
They use it for dredging mud so they need the holes to allow air to escape the bucket instead of the operators windshield.Just my guess.
@@dansbrown1313 I think he leaves it all beat up just to get comments on it
Another project completed , it was impressive how well the yellow stands looked in the vid 😂 keep up the good work guys 👍🇺🇸
Great video 👍 Looks like it's gonna work might have to fabricate a frame for weight ballast because you are going to push the envelope on it 😊
Here grab my Hose!!🤔 Whaahaahaa!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 It took me a second but when I realized I spit my coffee all over my phone!😁

Good to see someone in USA 🇺🇸 using a grinder with the safety gard on it 👍……cheers Ray🇦🇺 Ps love the show👍

Never a dull moment with you two. I was cracking up. You funny f@#kers
Nice work guys ,
Keep the old quickcuppler and use it to make a cuppler for a cuppler to use betwin to machines.
ya'll always inspire me to do all kinds of work that I've never done...one of these years I'll get to try my hand at welding
10:35 diesel creek is about to go green with envy. DP has an operational overhead 😅😅😅
