Update: Just found out that the game I mentioned at 21:35 called "Among the Trolls" has actually been cancelled. :(

I think it's a very case by case thing for me on whether or not keeping the game in another language can improve immersion. For example, I remember playing Assassin's Creed 2 with Italian audio and genuinely preferring it to the point that it felt weird hearing the English voices for a long time afterwards. Meanwhile, I just can't play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. without the cheesy English voice acting. The buggy English audio and awkward performances just fit so perfectly with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s jank without ruining the genuinely scary moments.

Nice video, it's interesting seeing so many different languages in games.
Got a suggestion if you do a follow up video, Beautiful Desolation a post apocalypse adventure game set in South Africa, it's mostly in English but has a bit of Afrikaans in it and tiny bit of Xhosa and Zulu.

Thank you so much! I've heard of Beautiful Desolation but I didn't know that it's set in South Africa! I didn't come across any Afrikaans in games when making this video but I'll make note of this and I hope that there's more out there! Thank you for sharing that with me :)

Thanks again for the credit, great vid! I especially like it when games create their own languages. Outside The Sims, I think the first one I've encountered that is in Gravity Rush, wherein they made use of jumbled up Japanese but with a French accent. Or at least it sounds like that to me. Probably a mix of both. It's like it sounds familiar but it doesn't at the same time, really cool stuff.

Of course, thank you for watching!! Ooh yeah I forgot about the language in Gravity Rush- I played it a looong time ago but I certainly remember it being really cool and standing out. I will have to keep it in mind if I make another video like this :)

It really is cool seeing native languages for a games setting to really immerse yourself in the story and world! Still think tekken has the coolest display of languages where each character speaks there own language, which is just amazing! As for fake languages I remember Gravity rush has its own made up one that is heavily inspired by French! Loved the video!
