Many thanks mate. This shortcut saved me a LOT of time! Any chance you can show how to remove the passenger side dash airbag without having to remove the whole dashboard please? Someone suggested to remove it from under the glove box by removing the airflow /blower. Need a shortcut for that if possible please. Keep up the good work!
@@bigsuli1595 you are welcome buddy! I don’t think the dash airbag can be removed without replacing the entire dashboard honestly either way contact me on instagram or TikTok and I will do what I can to help!
I recently bought the American Civic X for daily use. The car has been through a small crash on the side and the side curtains/airbags exploded. I've bought the replacement part and airbags and the car is currently being worked on, which brings me to my question. Do I need to reset/replace the SRS module in the car? I've heard that in some cars, after the airbags go off you need to replace the module, as replacing the airbags only will result in them going off as soon as you turn on the vehicle. I've also heard it's not necessary in every vehicle. What should I do?
@@brownsburg.motorsports also, do you think it's better to reset it or replace the unit completely? i know a guy who specializes in reseting these units so i was thinking with goin with this
To be honest with you I never use used components when it comes to the SRS module or any modules that sits all the way in the bottom I use either the same ones after they get repaired or I get a new one cuz there is always a change the donor car was flooded or even if it wasn’t it could’ve stayed outside at the junkyard and water got in from the doors being open or because of a broken windshields and what not
I have a 19 civic and bumped the front bumper no damage and the air bags both went off after I change the bags and get the module programmed do I have to also replace the front sensors ?
In my 2017 civic, I removed the passenger seat reconnected it and now the SRS light is on the dashboard. How would I go about removing the light? Is there a way to reset the SRS in the 2017civic?
You could try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins but if that doesn’t work you need someone with a scanner to clear the code preferably a professional one, not the ones from autozone or O’reilly those only read codes
I purchased salvaged 2017 civic, and am having some issues with the electronics! I had to replace the airbag and had the airbag control module reset! These codes only popped up after removing the airbag module! What could this be?
@@wesleyshaw2653 with Honda SWS (Seat Weight Sensor) initialization is needed ALWAYS even if the airbag is reset the SRS light will still be there, I would say any shop with an autel or launch or snap scanner can do it for you, it shouldn’t be very expensive either it’s under and hour job with the scanner

Nice work 🎊 🎉
Thank you!
If it’s an American built civic, do you need to replace the srs module too? You said Japanese Built ones do
All Hondas require SRS module replaced or repaired after any airbags deploys Japanese or American built
