- After checking in with their therapist, Haylin, one last time, Princess sets out to prove to Bretman that she can follow through with her music career, but her time in the studio doesn’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Bretman, with Keiffer’s help, throws a Mother’s Day party to show Princess how much she means to him, but a surprise appearance from Princess’ bandmates could force her to perform, ready or not. Will Princess finally prove that she can follow through or will her music career end before it starts?

Urgh that hurts the most. Being Asian I totally understand that concept. And it hurts. Cause you know your parents and siblings love you, but they never say it or hug you or anything. And it hurts when your with your partner or kids becuase you never experienced that..Again back to the generational trauma and habits. It’s crazy. But yes totally agree with you! 🤍
Absolutely. And maybe it might be generational or an Asian thing but I feel like it’s a personal thing where saying and hearing “I love you” is kinda cringey. I’m just like Bret, we express our love through actions. And it sucks when people that are “softer” because they can say it judges us by saying we’re not loving enough or we’re cold hearted and they look at us like asses. It makes us more so not want to love, and it does make us feel bad because it’s like you guys can’t see us all the way through and we expect that from “loving” people
Or like when Princess said she’s not getting the love she wants from Bret? I know Bret obviously loves her but I’d take it as “you can’t accept me for the way I am and the way I love” which makes people like me start looking at “loving” people as manipulating and deceptive. People love different, let’s just all learn to love and accept that.

THIS. Will Smith once said it, you CAN'T make anyone happy. They have to do it themselves. And I believe that 100%. Princess does need to find her happiness or confidence. She's definitely been treated this way all her life obviously, but the battle is truly within. It's her vs her. She has to find herself and see how worthy she is. I think the issue really lies with Bretman but I know with all my heart he loves her. That's all she needs to know, even if he doesn't say it.
It's easier said than done tho... Espacially given her childhood and relationship trauma. It would be wayy better if ppl around her stop asking her to love herself, just give her a hug and emotional understanding. That would help.
I think before recording, she could do some singing lessons for her to be in full control of her beautiful voice and gain more self-confidence in singing. She has so much potential! ✨💖

It was so interesting to see how Princess’s mom didn’t say I love you back when Princess said it to her. Definitely understand why it’s hard for Bretman to say. You can tell they all love each other though 🤍

I get the nervousness of having to sing in front of family, but Princess, girl. Everybody there wants to see you succeed. Take that energy that they give you and use it to your advantage.
I cried when Princess pushed through and sang for her family. We all get scared and doubt ourselves even when we know damn well we can do it. To see her be brave and overcome that little fear of just singing at the party, was phenomenal. I'm sure that felt huge for her, like climbing a mountain that kept trying to knock you down. Keep going Princess! It's 100% okay to be afraid, but we can't let that fear keep us from growing. You're doing great, Princess.

The ending was absolutely beautiful. So raw, and so real. I don’t believe I could have related to ANY other show on MTV then this. My heart was so full with the ending. The importance of mental health and the importance of family and friends who become family. So powerful MTV. This is definitely a movement that y’all should continue!

bretman has grown a lot, wow. i know it's not easy talking about feelings and being emotionally vulnerable. it really does take courage! i'm also proud of princess' courage to sing in front of friends and family. i'm so happy that she wants to share her story through music. i feel like her story is inspiring and she can actually get somewhere. i am manifesting so much love, peace and success for them both because they truly deserve it!

I completely relate to Princess with music. It really is a barrier that some people have. Like Summer Walker, people get anxiety to the point where they cannot physically perform, even if they’re good. It really is a mental thing and it takes building yourself up to perform in front of anyone. For me, music makes me vulnerable, so it’s difficult to be that vulnerable in front of people. I’m so proud of her!
You and princess gatta create music! Imagine the goosebumps we get when we hear other artist. Just remember how much people you can touch with your voice. Your breakthrough can be someone’s inspiration to believe they can too do it🤍

@@brianagarcia7387 It's actually normal to be this nervous singing in front of a crowd, especially singing in front of family members. Those are the people who will never forget if you mess up lol. I had to do it once and couldn't do it sober.
They really do love each other because they decided to understand each other’s love language and give the other that! That’s real love!!! Loving somebody in their own love language! They both really changed for each other

It’s just different when it comes to saying it to our siblings 😭 I don’t know, it just feels so cringey to say it to them, but I can say it to my friends and parents.
I feel like to strangers, like the therapist, it’s just something that he says, many people do that. But to say it to people you trust, are close with, and have been together with forever, you want to genuinely mean it, and genuinely meaning things like love is hard and I’m sure he doesn’t want to just casually drop it if it doesn’t mean anything.
It’s hard for him to say it to someone who he really loves and when he really means it. It’s easy to say anything you don’t mean

I learned a lot from this season so far and I relate to both Bretman and Princess. But what stood out to me is what Kiefer said “If Bret can’t water you then you should water yourself”. He didn’t say it exactly that way but it has made me identify aspects in their lives that I need to work on as well. Wish the season could longer and the episodes were longer.

Honestly princesses song actually sounds fire even tho she sounds nervous and looks nervous but IT STILL SOUNDS GOOD it’s just the voice she has when she sings. Soft with a tiny bit of rasp and clear. Good bit of high pitch and low pitch together.

I actually cried!!! As a filipino from the north luzon its a fact that we dont actually say “i love you” to our family. We show our love through acts of service and gathering around or showing up for food!🤣 super refreshing seeing these two showin love and not going at each others throats like all siblings do. Bretman got me from "I'm so proud of you, girl" and Princess obviously was so stoked to hear it. Though Bret said that they have a long way to go and that in life nothing comes easy, still at the end of the day, not just for them but to all of us, family is everything. both grew without hearing "i love you" from an Asian household. Princess Mae's personality lacked confidence compared to Brentman Rock which is what we see Princess Mae as today and now overcoming these barriers today (not her fault...no one is perfect and we have our own flaws). I can see why Princess Mae wants to hear her brother say he loves her when most times but she needs to unlearn and learn that she has to love herself at the end of the day. This season showed both at times learning to calm the fire and weren't aggressive as before (not saying they are doing it on purpose but hey... aggression gets aggression). I'm also glad she is slowly overcoming things and hopefully she fully understands that she doesn't need to look for love through romantic relationships or from her brother. Whoever is reading this: you only have yourself at the end of the day so LOVE YOURSELF - no parent, sibling, romantic partner or anyone in your life can take away love except for yourself, never give up on loving yourself, you only endure everything at the end of the day and for the rest of your life. When we love ourselves, people see it and will give it right back. I'm glad she is pushing forward to her music career. This girl can sing! Princess Mae and Brentman are meant to be siblings and that they both forever will be there for each other. I wish the season was longer though!

Was teary and smiling while watching this. This like I have been crying the whole ass season with their relationship. I relate so much. I too have an older brother who I love very dearly and I am so close with. I truly am so happy for them for working and strengthening their foundation. They where never shown Love as children so it’s beautiful to see them have more compassion and kindness towards one another. I love to see two beautiful queens build each other up! I love this season so much. It was very timely to what I'm going through right now. It's about learning to love your self and giving your self time while sharing that love with the people who supports, care for you, and love you. I love that for me too.
