Thanks for doing a review on these! I race most of the cars I collect. Even some of my Tomica Limited Vintage cars. Some are actually pretty quick. But seeing the extremely detailed cars race down a 1/64 scale 1/4mile run is epic! However cars like these are again very pricey. I was never sure how they rolled or IF they rolled? The fact that they are a more stationary model and not capable of possibly racing or even rolling is not for me. YES these are gorgeous models and have great levels of detail, but no rolling, not for me. Thanks again, great video!
Yeah I could see TLVs making it down a track ok, for the level of detail they have they're still fairly robust. That is not the case with these. Some of these roll, some don't but even those that do aren't free rolling enough to make it down a track and none of these would ever make it without taking significant damage.
Very informative video and well made! I personally like either rolling or not, but ever since I got INNO64 I began to pay attention a lot to more to details and accurate design of the car from the decals to calipers behind the rim of the wheels, and I have prefer that more than it being to be able to roll smoothly because most of the time I display them or take them out and admiring them up close than make them roll around. But that doesn't mean I stopped getting rolling ones like MiniGT
I've always thought the Inno models are really well done. Unfortunately, the racing series that they do aren't really the ones I collect but I hope to get one of their models soon. I agree with you regarding the rolling, it's kind of a dealbreaker to me as well which is partly why I haven't bought any of their models yet.
In just the last couple months I think they've really stepped it up and are broadening their variety so hopefully they'll come out with something soon that will appeal. I'm not sure why the rolling thing bothers me like it does but I'm getting better at looking past it.
I forgot to mention that Inno Models is based in Macau in South China which is about 37 miles from Hong Kong. The Hong Kong area has become a real hotbed for Diecast companies and along with Inno64: Mini GT, Tarmac Works, Para64, Era Car and Tiny HK are all based in the area. In the US Inno64 models typically cost around $20-$22.
great depth review & insightful information about Inno 😍 thank you for sharing 👍🏻 I myself just recently start collecting Inno, great castings indeed 👍🏻
Yeah, I'm very aware why they don't roll it's just a preference in what I value in models at this scale and since this series is targeted at trying to expose these brands to Hot Wheels collectors it's also an important issue in that context. I've done slammed custom hot wheels in the past and getting those to roll is a PITA so I certainly don't blame the brands for this but the reality is that it is a factor in whether a brand will resonate with a person or not. I received my first LCD model yesterday so I'm looking forward to checking that out. I have no expectation that it will roll. :-)
problem with LCD, GCD, Masters, xCarToys [insert other no name Chinese brands] is the resale value is non-existent (important for us with very fluid collections). Inno64 has the advantage of having good brand name recognition in both Asia and America, better resale value
@@monsieurdiecasts3393 hmm, that’s a good point I’ve never thought about that. I don’t care about resale at all but it’s clearly important to a lot of collectors.
This is another awesome overview of Inno64 and funny enough that NFS Heat s14 was the first model I got as well but as soon as I found out they didn’t roll I was disappointed for sure. But on the plus side the amount of detail especially on the interior is insane! I think the price on them is alittle steep but if you are just going to get these to display and nothing more then I think this brand would definitely be one to look at without a doubt! Great video very informative . Im with you being able to roll is a big thing with me . I dont have any inno 64 yet in my collection but i have had my eye on a few .
It's a great brand but you do have to just accept that if it's a lowered model it's not going to roll. Fortunately for the non-slammed models they do seem to be paying more attention to rolling and the models with metal bases feel much more solid overall.
very impressed by the Inno64 details and quality, up there with TLV, if not better. I have both variations of the FJ60 Land Cruiser and the beige one with roof rack and hubcap wheels quickly became my favorite casting of 2021. I hear their black variation of the 190E Evo2 with the detailed plaid seats is a must have as well (better than Mini GT or Tarmac).
Completely agree with you on Inno64. The only one I have currently is that wacky Hakotora truck you have in the thumbnail and the fact that it doesn’t roll is a bit of a shame (looks really cool, though!). Like you, their newer models like the Land Cruiser and the Cosworth have really caught my attention, however. Think I’ve seen a teaser for a stock version of the Celica as well. Oh, well. More to add to the list 😄
Ahh, the Hakotora didn't make it into the video. oops. I'm sure there will be many versions of that Celica coming which should be cool. It's clear all these brands are getting better access to licensing now so I'm hoping the next couple years will bring a ton of interesting models and we can move away from everyone just cranking out JDM releases.
Inno64/Tarmac/Mini Gt are great if you're interested on car with liveries, I just exclusively collect rally cars and they all look good, very excited on the upcoming Lancia 037 and Integrale. Hopefully Inno would release a rally version of Cosworth.
Yeah they definitely do a fantastic job on race liveries. Was the Sierra Cosworth run as a rally car? I know the Escort Cosworth was pretty successful but not sure about the Sierra.
@@StingerDiecast Yup it ran, It has even the same Texaco livery with a different variation. CM's did a rally line with Sierra/Escort but it looks dated now.

It's a Johnny Lightning from the Greatest Generation series. I think it's featured near the end of one of my earliest weekly videos, might even be the first one.
I just got the pearl black R34 R Tune and the detail on that one is freakin' crazy, I would say Inno 64 is slightly better than Mini GT and Mini GT is spot on with the details. Looking forward to buying more from them.
Yeah Inno is a step up in detail over Mini GT in general but Mini GT is still very, very good and for me is the suite spot in cost vs. detail. So many of these brands are just doing fantastic work right now.
Well, Mini GT seems to point towards diecast more while Inno64 is Display Miniscale. So far Inno64 edged out a bit on some cars like the R32 GTR (Mini GT version was horrible).
Inno64 also generally don't have opening parts which is probably a good thing, no gaps!!. I also have that blue Porsche, a stunning model. I see your displaying the Red Aussie Falcon - good man
To this point it's been no opening parts but I just saw an announcement for a new model that does have them. Tarmac is also bringing the Hobby64+ line which brings moving parts as well so it's not surprising Inno would react since they are direct competitors. We'll see if that's a good thing or not. Moving parts are certainly NOT something I've been hoping to see from these brands.
I haven't heard of this brand before, but it sure makes fabulous castings. That Camaro with the bikes on the roof carrier and the Toyota LC are my picks 😍

The reason they don't roll is obvious but that is 100% by design as they chose to compromise rolling for the sake of a low stance.
