Hot Customs you didn't feature my favorite 1/64 brand! Minichamps64 have maybe the best details for a 1/64 I have seen so far, especially the race Porsche 934 like the Jaegermeister or Vaillant. They were only produced for a very short amount of time (2010 I think) and sadly they cancelled the line of Porsche 962. I urge you to research Minicamps64 and maybe buy an example for your collection? Awesome review!
Nice & very useful categorization! Tomica (esp. TLV/N) is my fav. But recently I also impressed with CM's (world rally series), have you ever tried it? Happy weekend!
This is the best guide to 1:64 die casts I've seen. Thank you for showing the pros and cons of each and now I know exactly what to look for! Excellent video!!
My favorite brand is Tomica’s TLV series, but I also love Hotwheels’ car culture series for its durability and the variety. I didn’t have much car model when I was a kid, but in my teenage years, I got really into car histories and car mechanics, and just a few years ago, I thought to myself it would be interesting to have some car models that I cannot buy the real ones. So I started to collect mostly vintage cars made before 2000s, because those cars in real life are expensive and difficult to maintain. Some people would find hot wheels car culture kinda boring, all I can say is that it will not be boring once you know the history behind it.
TLVN FTW. I want to have a model that looks amazing AND can roll AND has suspension, its the holy trinity imho. Yes, it can get VERY expensive, but worth every penny.
Great overview, thanks for going over all the categories, I think there’s something for everyone there 🙂. I’m really liking what inno64 and tarmac works are doing lately, very impressive, but I’m right there with you on tlv, I love the simplicity and stock castings along with their (typically) great qc and attention to detail.
I love this vid, man. I am new to collecting 1:64 scale cars and this video is really informative. I would like to recommend you Hobby Japan's 1:64s. I was really impressed with the Initial D AE86 that I got and to be honest, that got me into collecting other 1:64s. I'm currently waiting for the Takahashi brothers' RX-7s and both of those cars have their respective figures in them now unlike the AE86. I've been watching your other videos too and I gotta say, man, you got yourself a new subscriber!
Shoutout from me, my favorite 1 64 scale diecast cars was the tomica premium and the WRC cars of majorette So thank you for the upload this video, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
I think Mini GT should be in the premium side, they just don't have that premium price. Their castings are very nice, some of their casting are better that Tarmac like the supra.
I doubt if I will ever go back to Tarmac - all the 3 models I've ordered were new and had scratches on the windshield, broken wipers, and paint chips. In fact I was going to order 2 more expensive Tarmac models but cancelled the order. QC is poor. I ordered an Ignition model along with Inno 64 and Stance to experience a broader range. I am considering and confused between composite or resin 1:18 scale in AutoArt vs Ignition
Where would biante sit? I've encountered a problem with the premium hotwheels where, if it has multiple paint designs like a carbon top and purple side Pontiac GTO, the top layer ie. The purple will peel off
i only collect hotwheels n a few tomica n that's just bcs i only buy the cars that are close to my heart. but now that im working im starting to become more interested in collecting more premium models with more details. your video really helped. i think im gonna start collecting tarmac works cars, especially the rwbs. your purple car looks really sick!

MiniGT should be in the premium. I just bought 700+ dollars worth of kyosho models. And I'm a little disappointed. The quality and scale of minjgt is better in my opinion
Kyosho has artificially inflated their pricing for some reason. Castings that would have been $5USD 10 years ago are now being suggested to be sold at $20+. I think the general detail of their offerings has gone down substantially over the past 13 years or so.
@@seismic6435 i wish I would of had this conversation with you before I bought 25 castings from Japan. I'm not extremely mad, but they were not worth the price

I’m starting to venture into more premium stuff. As of right now I’m loving MiniGT and Sparky64. In my area, hobby dealers sell Sparky for ~$10 USD and the race cars I’ve gotten from them look fantastic for the price!
@@HotKustoms I did not contact them, just displayed them in my collection and put the mirror/windshield wiper in a plastic bag to reattach them with some super glue. @@HotKustoms YM model is very high quality and very nice but expensive and fragile in my experience (I havent broken any but I'm super careful). Timothy and Pierre and Fuelme are in the same bracket too. Maybe ultra premium.
My only issues for the premium brands is that most of them are resin models. Especially TWs, even though they’re not resin models, I still can’t get to at least have one because they don’t roll which is disappointing for me really. I commend Kyosho and Hobby Japan for sort of taking on TLVN. It is because for me they are the far supreme premium line because they roll. They are still cars, so at least they must roll. Well however, it doesn’t roll when I got it, but still, I’m planning to repair it soon since it has a screw base. But anyways, great comparison video.
