- DARK Side of Volleyball | Injuries & Dangerous Moments 2021. Volleyball is one of the safest sports because there is no physical contact with the opponent. Still, injuries do happen. It is all an integral part of volleyball, you need to be strong and move on, no matter how dangerous the moment. To all who have suffered an injury, Power Volleyball wishes a speedy recovery, and to those who have not, to never experience it.

I admire how dedicated these people are to get the ball to the point where they sacrifice being seriously hurt and injuring there bodies and how they rush back in to help again. (This must have damn hurt tho)

Ugh! Playing recreational volleyball is physically exhausting and these ladies are playing at the top level. Much respect to them for putting their bodies on the line to be the best at their sport

Watching this as I’m laying in bed after sprinting 40 ft and literally throwing myself at the spectators for a ball that I couldn’t get up..

Its sad to watch but still things like that happend in every sports
another moment like this but in college volleyball was the 2021 tournament game of nebraska vs pittsburgh...early set 2...kenzie knuckles took it hard to the face.
As much as i love volleyball this hurt to watch. Them going over those walls like that and getting hit in the face or running into one another like ouch. But i mean it happens but every sport is dangerous like can't lie about that.
Got my thumb spiked in a blocking drill in HS, rough as it was my left hand and I’m a lefty and a piccolo player in marching band.
As an adult I broke my ankle playing in a rec league. Went up to block, heard/felt a snap when I came down. Wasn’t bumped, didn’t land another foot. . .

I had a physical reaction watching her knee go in and when she jumped her knee wasnt stable. Ive torn both ACLs I hate watching those kinds of injuries.
I've seen way worst volleyball injury than those. Early last season, a girl I was refereeing, injured one of her knee during warm up, we had to call an ambulance cause her kneecap wasn't in the right place... On another tournament during a game, a girl dove head first in my referee stand which wasn't padded at all, she hitted so hard she was able to move it around 30 cm with my 190 lbs on top of it, this was one of the scariest injury I ever witness in volleyball, her forehead didn't look so good after the hit, but at least she didn't break her neck or anything else.
For the first girl the exact same thing happened to one of my teammates, it was before a game and she just stood on her knee weird and dislocated it

One time when I played volleyball my opponent full force punches the ball with their fist making the ball hit me in the jaw, I got a free adjustment that day :)

its pretty normal for an old player but its serious when their bone is broken more worse playing outside since there r sharp rocks . its ok when u r practicing but during match u cant mostly cause the game is on still. most of the time u end up getting hit in some places like ur neck and ur head and u feel more regert when u. dont get ur goal we had tournament yesterday we lost by one ball but got second place but we still cried because our goal was first place our captain got dizzy and her head was paining due to the sun rays but still she had to continue the game in with that health. be safe while playing make sure u r wearing knee pads to avoid ur leg breaking up it does do abit of help.
one time i went up to block (im a middle) and the girl on the other side landed on our side of the net. i landed on her foot and when i tell you my bone came through my skin im not kidding and she little just said sorry and walked away
honestly now that i think abt it she was probably to disgusting to react it was NASTY

Well not really SPOILER ALERT: Hinata didn't have an injury he just got a really bad fever and he passed out on the floor so not really the kind of injury in this video

@@dext1352 yeah, and it Made me proud of him, he became a pro at the end 😭😭 and i feel kinda bad too that Hinata had to leave their friends behind since he's on college now. But i really proud to them too on the future, they growth Soo fast 😭😭
@@nishinoyayuu9508 hinata didn’t go to college, he just went to brazil to gain more experience in volleyball. that’s why he switched to beach vb temporarily in the 2 years he was there, to hone his skills and get better at defending & receiving, since those were his weakest points. :-)

I've played volleyball I was in a team (real team)then I was about to hit the ball because it was Coming towards me so I tried to hit it then it hit my pinkie finger and it started hurting so I tried acting like ev everything was OK then I could take the pain so I went on then they said my pinkie was swollen and it felt like my pinkie finger was broken (oh and it was our champion ship thingy I forgot but lol)then it went on for 5-6 days for it to heal so yeah (and this is a real story)but anyways bye you all have a good night or morning you guess are beaiful and I love you guess and always love yourself in who you are and byee ✌️
volleyball injuries are so minimal compare to basketball and other sports which involved close contact with opponent.
You don’t have to have close contact with opponents to get injured in volleyball. A girl from my club shattered her shin because the tournament officials though it would be a good idea to not put pads on net poles with large bottom stands that stick out 💀
Concussions are hella common in volleyball. I got a few from one of my old teammates who kept shanking her digs, resulting in the ball drilling me straight in the head. Happened 3 times during a single season.
Rolled ankles are another common injury, especially among front row players because you can come in contact with the other side. Even without coming in contact with the other team, front row players who jump up to block and don’t land right can twist their ankles pretty badly.
Don’t even get me started on ACL tears. They’re especially common among female players. Happens to a large portion of players
Actually volleyball injury’s are crazy dangerous most people can’t play after a injury they don’t need people around them if they dive wrong they can be injured also they’re teammates are right next to them so it does have close contact

@@yelenasimp2936 happened to my friend in high school she was an outstanding v-ball player, it was her senior year and our school was on a run to win back-to-back state titles. It was devastating when she got injured, we lost the semis and lost the 3rd place game. She was never the same after her surgery, she still managed to play softball in college but she was a better v-ball player she just lost her explosiveness after the injury

Figured since you've served that you'd be less prideful but it's clear that you're still caught up in your own little world to not have the decency to respect those around you. An injury is an injury, doesn't matter how it happened. Not to mention, the title says "dangerous moments and injuries", most of these are just dangerous moments where they could've been injured.
