My gravel driveway might be a slight pain to plow and shovel in the winter but at least it’s not radiating heat from being jet black. And at least I don’t have to pay to have it resurfaced every couple years. 🤷‍♀️

It probably also depends on how much you drive/park cars on said driveway as well, since that extra weight makes it easier to break the asphalt up. 3-4 years is probably the average and a good estimate to ensure you dont need to outright replace the entire driveways asphalt xD

Billions of dollars of damage, injury and death related costs are the result of bad roads and drive ways, not to mention the added stress on the nerves of drivers and passengers from potholes. All together, I think we should rehab and repair all asphalt roads every three years.

    • @rabbit1360

@@theodorevegh6030 The US has around 3 million sq mile of road (2959067 to be exact). The avg cost to fix a road is 3 dollars per sq ft. Doing the math, it would take 2.47482160358 × 10^14 dollars to fix just the roads that the US has. Now pay for that every 3 years and it will put the US into more dept than it already is even if you get rid of the military budget for the past few decades.
