That’s not suede, removing the upper layer turns it into nubuck. Suede is made from the flesh side of the leather, not the upper.

This turns leather into NUBUCK, not suede. They look similar, but they’re different processes.

Nubuck is actually leather. She turns the leather into nubuck by sanding of the top layer.

Do not attempt to do this. Half the shoes people wear aren't even real leather. Also many are just Genuine leather which is plastic coating on the waste split leather.
