Honestly, my older me would agree to the german dude. I didn't like all those kpop/drama stuff because it looked too romantic. But after watching the korean show "singles inferno", I was utterly impressed by the korean dating culture. It's hard to put in words... it's a complete difference to the sexual, superficial western dating world. They are so cautious and respectful to each other. It takes millions of dates before they kiss each other cause they want to build up a healthy relationship first. My vision of korean dating culture is obviously just based on the media's depiction, cause I haven't been in Korea yet to experience it on my own. I tried watching a korean drama cause Netflix recommend me them after the singles inferno,. I gave "Twenty-five Twenty-one" a try and it left a tremendous whole in my heart. As a grown man, it was truely overwhelming to watch such a show. You should just try watching a kpop drama. I'm from Germany too 👋
I am currently working on my own business cause I want to earn enough money to travel to japan/korea and try my luck there. Meanwhile, I am learning the languages so they don't treat me as a "common foreigner" who just goes for vacation there. Wish me good luck. And I wish you all the best too!

I’ve been married to a Korean woman for 12 years (together for 15) and had two kids. I’ve visited Korea four times. What I’ve leant is that you have to except and respect cultural differences.
The sad thing is Korean women make this claim saying "I can't bring you home unless we're getting married." But the issue is that they jump with a white guy within like 2 months maybe less than that. I've been with multiple Korean women and the longest relationship I had was 15 months.
Only ONE of them I have ever met their family. We didn't work out because she has kids from her previous divorce and we're still in contact with each other till this day. They're fine with meeting my family but they're not fine with me meeting theirs.

As a German I celebrate the answers of the German in the hoodie! Exactly what I think. And, the K-Dramas made me curious about South Korea, which was good. But, everybody might know that you normally don’t find any K-Drama in real live there as a foreigner and maybe even not as a South Korean.
my friend went and dated a chaebol for 4 months, she bought him an apartment to try to convince him to stay in the country but she was so manipulative and abusive and was in a relationship the whole time. he got sooo many nice things but they could NEVER go out in public. the apartment was more for her privacy then for him i think. he left with bags and bags of designer clothes though
