I'm so glad you guys attended this. Syd, your voiceover about the event/Navajo Nation made me tear up a bit. Rez Duro, the Silver Stallion here in Gallup, and many others have been working so hard to expand MTB to Native youth in the 4 corners.
A huge amount of work to get those trail’s built! Hats off to the builders, land owners and organizers to pull off a venue like this where there was none.
Great video and great timing as it coincides with the Truth and Reconciliation day for us folks up in Canada - which was created in remembrance of the victims to the terrible Canadian Indian residential school system. Hopefully there are more events like this that encourage the celebration of differences and indigenous culture :)
This was really cool! It's neat to get to see some of the Navajo nation, as I have Navajo relatives. It's also fun to see Bo again! You all crushed it!
Now that looked like a lot of fun! Saw a lady on the trail this weekend wearing a jersey with a recognizable pattern. She was surprised that I knew it was a Syd and Macky design. She’s a big fan and so am I. 👍👍
Excellent content again you two (and Bo). This must take you ages to put together. Just letting you know it is much appreciated. Loved learning about Rezduro and some of the Navajo story, thanks for including all that background.
Race your own race. Never look back. Keep pushing. I don't do athletics, but I work in professional competition. Once the green flag drops your on your own (ok, get out in front of the back markers, they'll mess you up) and it's just you till the checker drops. And once it drops, all you can do is push to be prepared for the next green. Love your vids.i hope you can make it back to Madeira.
Congratulations to the three of you on a great race. Man, enduro looks like a blast. All I've ever done is xc races. I've got to try an enduro. Thanks for another great video. Keep rollin. 👍👊
I drive thru this beautfiul area fairly often and saw this event pop up but couldn't make it but was so curious about it. Glad you guys got to go and document it!
It's sad to think the native Indian has been reduced to this, they owned all of what is known as America today. I think you'll find that what's called a reservation is known to Indians as a prisoner of war camp. Russell means was an inspiration to me, which led me to learn more about Indian history.
We would have to jump through some hoops to get some UCI points (basically find UCI races that weren't super competitive) but it would probably be doable. But then we would be starting at the very back and essentially in a line of riders until we got more points to get a better start position. So it's not something we're that interested in doing since there are so many fun races outside of world cups. Also, we wouldn't be allowed to film 😂
It would be nice to see reservations throughout the country build mountain bike trails on their land, if that would bring more prosperity to their communities. There is too much poverty among Native American people.
Those are the Shokz Road Wave. For some reason Shokz never put them on their website but they're available through some retailers and you can sometimes find them online.
Yup. They're called the Road Wave. For some reason they never launched them on their website but they're available from certain retailers and you can sometimes find them online. I really like them
Beautiful review!! I so envy you two soooo wish i could ride again you make me miss it soo much!! BUTT with my titanium rod femur the doc is afraid of what could happen if I fell down.......so no riding.

#EveryChildMatters 🧡
Had no idea this was a thing! May try to get out there for the 2024 race if it happens :). Thanks for bringing attention to this!
Great mix of bike racing and cultural education. 👍
Let's go S&M Fridays!
Last week I was like "you should consider keeping a spare wheelset in the car for races" and this week... same.
Syd, your freewheel is loud, but I like that. It’s sounds gangsta!

Been stoked for this one!

It's a super fun format. Definitely worth checking out if you can find one in your area!
@@sydandmacky I'm definitely on the lookout for one. 😁
Thanks for sharing this and the positive vibes. Three cheers for the hosts! Can we look forward to seeing this as an annual feature?
So cool! Fantastic video!
That was an awesome race. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
Any race where I can camp and race is so happy making for me. Looks like you guys felt the same way here. Congrats on your finish!
Lived in Farmington while my wife worked in shiprock for a few years. Super cool to see you ride this. Looked awesome.
Damn, those burritos! 😍
Enjoy the content with Bo. 👍
Oh wow, 100k is so close !

Those tracks look so cool! Great content, again, thanks Team.
Yay! Go, Bo!
awesome!!
I'm feeling Bo should be awarded an official bottle cap colour
That's an idea!
So much fun!
This one goes' on the bucket list.
Let's go I can't wait to see this new video!
Way to go you three, looks like a great time.
Awesome epik beautiful video lovet
This is so good :)
Come on 100,000 subs!!!!
Vermont is in the start of a long trail for bikes, would love to see you guys come back to Vermont to test it out.
🤘
Is this the "SYD and MACKY and BO" channel now?
You need to put together a yearly review video for 2023 when this year is all over with. Maybe even tell us your favorite race of the year. 🚲 🏁
It's sad to think the native Indian has been reduced to this, they owned all of what is known as America today.
I think you'll find that what's called a reservation is known to Indians as a prisoner of war camp. Russell means was an inspiration to me, which led me to learn more about Indian history.
Have you guys got any European stage races on your radar for next year?
Macky/Syd where you on Jet's? I think I recognized Syd's Jet with the custom paint. Considering a Jet for my Downduro bike.
Yup, and it was perfect for this race!
Great video guys! Question; what sunglasses was Bodie wearing during the race?
Those are the Shimano Technium glasses
@@sydandmacky Thanks so much! Similar to the POC ones but at a much better price.
I'd do that event just to experience the food.
the food was amazing!
Cool event, just out of curiosity, during Enduro races in US - fullface and kneepads are non-obligatory?
Nope.
In theory, would you be eligible to participate in a XCO World Cup round like Snowshoe for example?
Keep up the great work, love your videos!

Who makes the glasses macky is wearing?
Those are the Shokz Road Wave. For some reason Shokz never put them on their website but they're available through some retailers and you can sometimes find them online.
I thought I saw a shokz logo on them! but after i checked their website and couldn't find them, i assumed it might be some secret squirrel stuff 😅
Which bikes did you guys bring?
We raced the Niner JETs and they were perfect!
I keep seeing the sunglasses, are those shokz brand??
Yup. They're called the Road Wave. For some reason they never launched them on their website but they're available from certain retailers and you can sometimes find them online. I really like them
Are all stages done on the same day ? Or are they spread our over two days ?
All on one day
Bo knows enduro...
F150 with a camper shell I think is the best MTB rig.
What is in the non reservation land section within the reservation land?
I now see it is Hopi reservation land!
@@caroliroand there’s another Navajo enclave within the Hopi enclave!
Nice to see Bo engaging more but can he get a different coloured cap on the bike he rides so we know it's not Macky. Keep up the good work.
We'll see what we can do 😁
my online classes are much more interesting while listening to this
Just an FYI.... the smell of rain....petrichor
Wow, didn't know there was a word for that!
