"Chocolate Rain" is a metaphor for Institutional racism and not a really bad number 2. It was very woke for its time when the video dropped back then. The next time you listen to it, you will understand what the lyrics mean.
The secret is after all these years we are still singing and trying to figure out what chocolate rain is. But I think it might be about inequality. Chocolate Rain could be pleasant for some, but unpleasant for others.
