Bedros is SPOT ON when he said you need to get rid of your friends who you partake In your addiction with. It took me 3 years to get rid of everyone. It's hard because you love them but you gotta do what's best for you in the end.
I have massive respect not only for the advice of how you got beyond your addiction, but also for admitting that even after you've become massively successful you were still capable of falling back into that trap. A lot of people only want to tell a version of their story where once they've become successful it's all just smooth sailing from then on. 🙏🤜🤛🖖
Can we take a moment to show Bedros some appreciation 👏 I've been missing for 3 months… I've just started posting videos on my TH-cam channel again. Thank you for supporting my journey. We got this men. 🤜🤛
Opiates are a straight up horrific thing to get off. It pisses me off to see people that don't understand make fun of people that struggle with that stuff. All of them. Some people had no idea how dangerous they are after surgery and then they fell into chaos with the shit. Props to you getting off it.
I can certainly relate to "going back to your vices" when stress and anxiety get the better of you. In Australia, gambling addiction is at an all-time high. Even I was affected by sports betting addiction which was surprisingly hard to stop.
I have 3 days of no weed as of today. I had a problem as well. I flipped a switch a decided I’m not going to do it for a very long time, maybe retirement. I quit as an exercise in mental toughness and for a new career. Last night I hung out with my best friends who I have always smoked with. All I did was have 2 beers but no weed. I think once you seriously make the decision to do something, it’s easy. I would never give up my best friends or family because there is weed around. It’s just too common in California and my people are too good of people to let go. Some people may have to stop hanging with their people who have weed, but not everyone. Luckily like BK, I naturally have a strong will.
Do you think it makes sense so stop smoking weed if you have to immediately replace it with drinking? I am not coming at you but i always have same dilemna and i feel drinking is just stepping in for the ganja!
your friends who do smoke should respect that decision and not smoke in front of you, Ive been smoking for over 20 years and when theres alcohol and good vibes involved you'll eventually cave.
@@brittneynichole420 I agree. I went to a smoker friends house on day 3 and he did not smoke in front of me. I’m lucky to have supportive friends. On day 7 now and feel great. I know I’m going to be in front of it eventually (it’s California) and I’m ready. Once I flip the switch I’m solid. I quit cigarettes 8/26/18 and flipped the switch then. It’s taken a long time to build mental strength (I’m 42) but I have a lot of confidence at this stage in life.
I used to snort 2 OC 80s (Green Monsters) to start my day. Then just do 80s throughout the day. Things got real bad when my plug died. I moved on to black tar and crack. In December, I will be 6 years clean. Today, I have my own concrete business and also just started to make money from E-com. I have a loving wife and 2 beautiful daughters that I would do anything for. You can literally do anything you want to do in life. Im glad I made it out alive. Goodluck to anyone going thru the struggles rn
Also, weed is a mental addiction. You must stay busy. After work I go to the gym, go home and eat a proper human diet, and then go back out and do door dash deliveries. Weed and video games go hand in hand so “pause” the games for a few days/ week to build momentum. I was already working out and eating good so I think that is a huge help too as far as establishing a healthy body and then wanting to finish the job by getting a healthy mind. They go hand in hand, like weed and video games 😂
"golden thread". What I'd heard that helped me was "play the tape forward". You do X, then Y happens, etc. etc. You get the point. That's what started turning the table for me with booze. And other bullshit too, later on. "I eat this candy bar then what?" "I'll crash when it's time to work out, then I skip my workout, then I feel like a POS, then the sugar tells my brain to eat another candy bar because fuck it why not? You already skipped your workout, etc". And so it goes... Better to just not get that train rolling in that direction to start with. Good luck fam.
I think the person that asked the question should instead look into a 12 step program. Yeah having will is good but clearly just as in Bedros’ case he went back to Vicodin. A 12 step program will help you quit and abstain forever, also helps you help fellows struggling with the same problem.
Nicotine is what I need to quit 😢 it's the last addiction I have. It's easy to quit one thing when you have another. Weed, alcohol, cocaine, I stopped all those addictions and now just to find something else to occupy my nicotine cravings

Yep, same mindset works for all addictions
