Close stalling a horse is bad for the horse in so many ways.
MSU 'horse teachers' need to get educated about equine care. Horses were not meant to live indoors and need 24/7 turnout. Stables make things more convenient for owners, but are really bad for the animals. Please. . . read a book!
24/7 turnout is not necessary, these horses are treated well and are happy.
