*TOO FAST?* Control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video *5% at a time* on *desktop computers and laptops* OR *25% at a time* on *smartphone!* Access the playback speed controls as follows: *Desktop Computers and Laptops:* open the video, then go to the *lower right* of the video's screen and click on the *settings icon* (it looks like a GEAR). On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link *"custom".* Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time. *Smartphones:* open the video and go to the *upper right* of the video's screen. You will see *3 dots.* Click on them and you will see the link to open the *"playback speed"* controls. Note that viewing the video on desktop computer/laptops gives you *greater control* over the playback speed (5% vs 25% on smartphones).
Thanks for all your videos, they are so good & useful for me as a learner. But the "hanzi" sentences are quite small to see & read, for next video, can you make bigger so it will be easier to see & read. It's only my suggestion.
Hi Maria! Yes, you right about the hanzi subtitles being a little small. This was our first video series and we have already completed it. However, you may want to check out our most recent video series. The subtitles are quite clear! For example: th-cam.com/play/PL7VdqFXO0LzfGbXAsnBqWcnIwMvAV1IWR.html
老师,谢谢你。 请问: 1. “把” basically is used for everything that you take with your hand, and it's always at the between the subject and the taken object (S + 把 + O 后者 把 + O) 对吗? 2. 第22 句子, 为什么你用“差”了? 不能说“考试的成绩很低”吗? 谢谢,拜拜
I am loving these videos and she is an excellent teacher! If I could give one suggestion. Please invest in a really good microphone as I think a good audio quality will increase the value the lessons. xie xie laoshi
Thanks for the support, bennyben brothergreen! Actually, the quality of our microphone is excellent, but the HSK videos were our first videos and at the time, we were recording in front of a street with the most traffic in our city. To overcome the background noise, we tried to compensate by increasing the microphone's gain and that did not work out too well. Obviously, we were rookies in trying to do good audio production and we really did not know how to do thing correctly. If you look at our most recent videos, we think the audio quality has improved, although we still learning how to do things better.
I don't know why but it's become a bit more difficult for me to recall the HSK III words. Although the flashcards do help. I want to reach level IV vocabulary soon :)
Keep using the flashcards but in addition, try to find someone (online?) who is also studying for HSK 3 and use the flashcards to ask each other questions. Practicing with a real person will give the words more meaning and you might have a better chance of remembering them. It will also give you more confidence in your conversation skills.
Mandarin Corner Yeah I should definitely do that. Thanks for the great suggestion. In the meantime, I just watch it over many times, and try to memorize the phrase (even if sometimes I don't understand WHY a certain word might be there and so on). Gets easier every time!
