Was an incredible co incidence watching this today....A friend called Colin and his wife Judy,(She`s a friend too)caught a double Decca bus, having grabbed a bag, loaded with Elton John Lp`s to donate to that incredible store...Incredibly enough, they turned them down....They both went away, feeling Down Down deeper and down, and ended up Rolling home,in a crazy kinda way,and consoled themselves by Re CLINE ing at home and listening To Patsy....They just felt inclined to do so...By the way, they have a Dog called Petra too....She`s 8 yrs old,,Very ATRACK tive.....Great Shop Sir !!!!
All I can say is WOW!! That looks like an awesome place to just get lost in all day. I wish I lived in Denver. Love those grab bags. I know I’d buy those, and the sleeves because I have tons of 45s that need them.
looks like a cool shop. i’m gonna be in town to see the Strokes at Red Rocks in August so def gonna stop in there. Good heads up about Sie Film Center too. Hope they’re screening something good then too.
What a great store reminded me of the former Virgin Records in Las Vegas. I could spend all day in record stores! I was born in Denver too, stores like Twist and Shout make me miss Denver, and a great restaurant Casa Bonita.
Wow can you send this record store to amsterdam ..we have some but not this large ...we use to have those but not anymore ..it remember me of the seventies and begin eighties when i spend hours in those shops and came home with 5 or 6 albums
What a nice recordstore ! , there is alot of choice for music , recordplayers , 8 track tapes and audiocassettes , but minidiscs i don,t see them , greetings from me from Assen in the Netherlands !!
Great video. Can't believe you've never been to Twist! A truly amazing music lover's paradise. (I love their mystery packs) and fyi parking garage behind the store. You should also check out Wax Trax on Pearl st. and Angelo's on south Broadway (be sure not to miss out the huge vinyl stock in the basement). Keep up the good work.
I remember being in the old one or wax Trax or the old huge one in Boulder 20 years ago and at ALL times the listening stations were full of DJs with stacks of records. Cool time.
That record shop is a place I could happily get lost in ( although unfortunately I am not in the U S. ). The grab bags sound fun ( we might call them lucky dips over here). I lucked out on some great cassettes over the weekend. All the best.
The 2 major record stores here in San Jose Ca don't really arrange the 45, so it's really a lengthy dive into the bin, but in Amoeba in SF have the 45's arranged and even 78's, so it's easier to go through.
As a former Colorado Springs resident, I highly recommend Independent Records. Their main store is on East Platte and it is quite large. They have several satellite stores around the Springs and they used to have one in Denver, too. I may have to visit Twist & Shout on my next visit out. Thanks.
I’m a Springs resident myself and used to work at that Independent Records! Unfortunately, that store and all the others have closed down recently ☹️ they have one new location left in the Springs, but the East Platte store is no more sadly
@@ClydesdaleEntertainment Well crap, that's one of the things I would do when I visited my son. Which one did they leave open, Security or Downtown? Or is it indeed a new location? What a bummer!
I picked up two david bowie 12" singles from them a while ago in store! They are a really good shop. I also picked up the rocky horror picture show absolute treasures vinyl from their eBay store 😄
This is something you'll never ever see in a record store in NY. A real country section of any kind with tons of Patsy Cline CDs. You'll barely find a folk section in most stores here, what's left of them anyway. Tower Records and Virgin store used to have some country and a lot of folk, at least.
I actually like the prepackaged. There’s a store here in Houston called Cactus Music which does a 50 7 inch single prepackaged for $5.99, and it’s a pretty good haul as to the titles kept. No sleeves, but you get what you pay for.
Sounds like 👍 the song “Twist And Shout”, by The Isley Brothers, or The Beatles. I won’t be surprised to find this place abandoned in a few years, all because everybody’s taking everything online. Should do ALL your shopping 🛍 now. Your friend, Jeff.
Here's a Record-Ology show for next time... Thomas Edison records and Diamond Disc phonograph players etc. Date: Jan. 1923. How to replace the needle stylus?🤔 How to service it when broken?🤔
Hope you plan to visit Wax Trax soon.
I love Twist & Shout! Great bookstore next door too!

I hope you become a millionaire from these videos. Awesome work.
Thank you my friend!
I just watched the twist and shout episode amazing where they have anything like that in California I would go crazy! I was speechless that was nuts
Amoeba in Hollywood and Berkley can definitely hold their own.
This is beyond explaining WoW!! So very COOL

As the grandson of the founder and former owner, Paul Epstein I had a blast watching this video! Glad you love the shop!
Very cool! Thank you !

Yes! Been to Angelo’s……awesome place!

I’m gonna have to drive up to Denver just to go to this record shop. Thank you for sharing this!

I'd be crackin' up if there were multiple copies of Whipped Cream & Other Delights in the last two!
Lol

Dude, how could you have never gone there before. I go there every time I'm in Denver and enjoy it every time, hope you enjoyed it as well.
Great record store. Did they have any Larry Norman/Randy Stonehill LPs?
I've been meaning to get back down there. Mention should also be made of the Tattered Cover bookstore right next door another excellent store.
I like rock music
That looked like a lot fun.

I’m sure they did!!!!
Enjoyed that 😁👍
Thanks 👍

How's the Metal cds section like?
does Twist and Shout sell needles too?
Wilcox Records OKC.
Great haul! Those company sleeves, wow!
They have a lot of Latin music CD's. I love Latin music.

Check out wax tax not too far from there!
What's the deal with all the CDs are they really making that much of a comeback?
Too bad you didn't find a Petula Clark record to go with your Peggy Lee. Those 2 are in a class all by themselves.
Great video, p.s. anyone playing the game drink when he says "you guys" is now shit faced
😂😂😂😂
The record stores in Vegas are horrible FIA sucks!!
