- I decide to crack open the latest netbook from Lenovo, the Ideapad S10. While it may not feature the same bells and whistles as other subnotes on the market - it sure is fabulous!

Over 8 years ago. Amazing how he and his team made the channel grow so much, always focusing on tech and nothing else. And he has a great team! Two of the guys in his team created Techquickie, another great channel with over 1 million subscribers.

+bradley morgan 512MB of RAM was the minimum, most came with 1GB, with a max of 2GB. If you upgrade to a SSD, and install either Windows 10 or Linux the machine will be pretty quick.
It can run UT98 that's all that matter for real pros

I love linus tech tips, they aren't boring like everything else, they're short and straight to the point. I would love to see some content on the Core i7, and also some hardware comparisons would be cool.

I remember going around when I was younger seeing adults carrying around these bulky mini laptops and thinking it was the COOLEST thing ever.
Here in December 2022, watching just to see how far tech has come and also how far Linus Tech Tips has come. Amazing.

Just finished watching the 2021 studio tour. Its crazy to see how somebody who started out presenting in their dining room a decade ago has amassed such a large, successful business, and now employs well over a dozen people.

@@introman1016 Recent technological breakthroughs in 5G has been huge so I'm thinking maybe internet of things and AI could be the next big thing.
In terms of crypto-mining, it's much more profitable to buy and sell graphics cards than being a miner yourself these days.
I for one could say this because I earned quite some cash for reselling a couple of Gtx 1660ti to miners recently, cause there's was a sudden rise in ethereum price and a lot of miners have joined the mining bandwagon again.
Hope these could at least give you some insights for achieving financial freedom in 2020.

I mean I literally just heard about the fluctuations in hardware price. I used to think that they are always gonna be in the cycle of becoming cheaper and faster until I heard about how crypto mining has been making old graphics card models more expensive than they should be.
For example, GTX 1660ti was never a good, save for being flagship graphics card when it first came out. But the fact that its specs are perfect for mining ethereum has inevitably been making it more expensive.

This was so poorly done, it was fantastic! Don't get me wrong I appreciate Linus' work for the most part but I just love how self aware and run by the seat of his pants he was and still is. I was just doing some research on his older vids to see how he got started. Linus, if you read this, could you do a vid discussing some of the details of how you became the internet video guru for tech at least on youtube? That would be Awesome! Fabulous! If you haven't watched the whole vid, the end part is what got me laughing out loud literally!
