Fantastic! Emily is awesome! I know I couldn't make it as far as her. It was nice of you to leave your crampons for some lucky hikers! Beautiful views from the summit 👍
Emily is a tough little cookie! We actually grabbed the crampons on the way down to lighten our backpacks on the way up. If I could afford to give people crampons I would though 🤣
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it. They had record snow accumulation that winter. It's usually almost gone in late June. All good though, I love crampons😁. Much more to come in the future!
It was staring at us while we were in Bishop, just tempting us to climb it! One of my favorites, the approach wasn’t to long and the elevation gain was just about perfect 👍🏼 thanks for watching!
For the past few years I’ve shot on a GH5 with 12-35 leica lens (mainly), I’ll also use my iPhone 14 Pro Max here and there. I’ll use GoPros for POV shots in those sketchy areas. I also have a dedicated IPhone 14 Pro Max for whoever comes with and is willing to get some shots.
Random question I was thinking about . How’d you initially gain experience using crampons / ice axe ? Did you take a class or something like that or just learn by sending it and figuring it out as you go ?
A few years ago I started watching TH-cam videos on how to properly use them. That helped initially. Then it’s all about getting used to them in action and feeling comfortable with them on different gradients.

Do you have a camera gear list? The videos capture natural detail and scale really well (not to diminish your filming and editing efforts)
