Unable to insert the virtual optical disk C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso into the Ubuntu 24.04 machine. Why does this option appear for me?
Thank you for making this useful video. On the "Installing Guest Additions on Ubuntu Guest" section, after running "sudo apt update", I guess you should run "sudo apt upgrade" at 19:07. Then proceed to "sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r)" after that. I did not run "sudo apt upgrade" the first time, and it caused my ubuntu to freeze up when maximizing the window.

without installing the vm guest modes , you can simply change the screen size by using the scaling factor under machine>display>scaling . hope this helps :)
Those who facing the black screen lock problem you just reset 2 or 3 times and wait 5 to 6 mins your Ubuntu will going to be installed and same visualisation which is showing in the video will appear.
well i installed as showed ! It's a fantastic tutorial and easily explained with proper steps..!! However, i am facing an issue...I am not able to see the display of that LTS ..It is showing a black blank screen...can you or anyone solve this issue..? even the preview is blank!
If the screen does not seem to be resizing with the window, i.e. even after installing the VBox Guest Additions and restarting the device, go to the: *_VM menu bar (on top) > View > Auto-resize Guest Display._* And after that, the display should scale with your window's resizing. For using the Native Resolution of your display, you can go full-screen by pushing *_'HostKey + F'_* [ *Note:* *_HostKey_* may be configured to be a different key for you. On Windows 10 and VirtualBox v7.1.4 it was set as _'Right Ctrl'_ for me. You should yours written on the bottom-right corner of your VM window, right next to the _'down-arrow'_ icon ]
