Cathy - 18w is a women’s 18 meaning it’s a plus size. As opposed to a misses 18 which is regular. The P means petite. 18w in most cases is equivalent to a 2x, just depends on the store you’re shopping at.

Even on sale I’m not sure I love the printed tie blouse enough to keep. And you don’t like the ties - if you’re not in love with it I’d vote to return it. I’m a firm believer that you have to love what you buy.

I love ur hair it looks great. The mulberry sweater/jacket is beautiful. I would send back the bold printed colors w/tassels. I would also return the solid blue top with the flutter sleeves it just does nothing for you. The Navy/blue stripes top looks great and the earrings would look nice with the geometric patterned shirt. I enjoy watching your videos.

I agree, actually crew necks are hard to pull off when your more petite. I don't get why clothing manufacturers make anything with horizontal strips. Ya gotta be at least 7ft tall lol and a football player

Hi Cathy, Thanks for another great video! You look great! I really like how your hair is looking! I love Talbots for the most part, their clothes are classic and on trend. I do find Talbots sizing all over the place. I can wear a petite xl to a women’s petite 2x. I’m not sure why their sizing varies so much, but I’ve been told that it is due to their use of many different factories. I hope that helps.

I've been eyeing that navy and white sweater but didn't purchase because I was worried the stripes would make me look bigger than I am. You look great in it! It's nice to see it modeled on a plus size body, thank you. It's going in my cart.
I bought a similar one at Banana Republic a few weeks ago. I never would wear stripes before, but I'm really liking the look on me.
The mulberry colored cardigan jacket is gorgeous on you! I bought white jeans too this spring (they just came in the mail from Avara, haven't tried them on yet). Love the black and white geometric blouse and the black and white striped sweater. They are so cute on you! Especially with the white jeans and the navy slides.

I agree the stripe around top does not work. However the geometric black and white shirt you hit it out of the park. Took years and pounds off you. I am going to look it up and hopefully I’ll luck out. Loved your makeup today too❤

I think the blue top was the most flattering
Blouse fits nicely and I like the sweater with the blouse - when you wore it alone, I thought looked tight - it’s Woman’s Petite (WP) I think your middle, which you will lose more of as you go down, really showed in the “T” and actually in the 18 blouse - tough right now to be in=between sizes - but you are losing and doing a great job sticking to diet.

I know we're both on a weight loss journey. I gain 4 pounds since I moved to TX,,but Im not giving up. Now, I weigh 167lbs, and my goal is to be 130 to 135 because I'm only 5'2. Even if I lose 25 pounds this year, I'll be happy. I'm 56, so I know its more difficult to loose weight.

Love all the tops on you and the colors light up your face. I was amazed how nice the geometric shirt looked on you having an Apple shape I also have an Apple shape and it’s a challenge finding a shirt that I can button up all the way. When you wear the shirt unbutton some of the buttons on top to better frame your face. How do you know when Talbots bring out their new line and sales. Do you go online everyday to check? And also can you give us the heads up when they have sells? I can see and understand the joy you get buying clothes that you like, but the best part they fit well. Continue the great job because not only I would be cheering for you, but cheering for myself that it can be done. 🤗
Talbots seems to always have a sale on. Sunday evenings are a good time to shop, they often have flash sales.
Cathy, those earrings would look well with the geometric blouse. The last outfit is adorable on you. I really think you should trade in the big print blouse for something else, although the sweater jacket is great. Look at the blouse options at Chicos in that color. ❤ The tee looks cute on you too.

The Spanx skinny ankle jeans are lightweight. If it's super hot and humid I wouldn't wear jeans, but I guess in the A/C they would be OK. I can't wait for the white to restock.

Was surprised you are keeping the blue pleated t-shirt - it seemed maybe a little just "OK" compared to your other options, but of course the colour is beautiful. I prefer some of the drapes of the other shirts you modeled, including the lady's jacket - beauty ! Such a flattering colour. Love those earrings from Talbot's too (last white and blue pair shown). Thanks as well for showing us that we can wear white bottoms (traditionally the big no-no) and still look smart !

I think these tops are beautiful, and they fit so well. I'm always impressed when there is no gapping on the button tops. Definitely love their no-iron tops. I agree about the button and zipper jeans with a lot of tops. The hardware is irritating when it shows. I know I'm biased, but Talbot's is my favorite store and they are the best at modern classics. Okay, and Ann Taylor, but I have a Talbot's close by and can always find beautiful things!

Hello Cathy, This is FYI about the jeans button on the waistband sticking out. I found on Amazon a belt called, "the Infinity Belt," which flattens out that part of the waistband for a smoother look. I was skeptical, but ordered it just to see, and I'm happy to report that it really does work. It's made from a thick adjustable elastic material with a buckle that lays flat. I loved the second blouse on you, but I would cut off the tassels, too. I did that on a dress I ordered online that had tassels. They were pointless, and annoyed me when I leaned over. Hi Cathy, I love the realness of your videos and that you test out different brands for the fit on petit apple shaped figures. I want to place an online Talbots order for a few basics but am reluctant due to extra fees. Do you pay brokerage fees upon delivery to Canada or just taxes and duties?Thank you in advance.
Hi, it's expensive ordering from Talbots online as we must pay a brokerage fee, HST and duties. It is possible to call a Canadian Talbots store and place a phone order, they will ship it for a small fee, I think it was $12 last time I did that. However, they don't carry plus petite or shoes and they don't get everything that is online. I usually only order when they have a really good deal, like 40% off and free shipping. It would be so much easier if they would create a Canadian website. Hope that helps.

I recommend looking into finding your best colors with a color analysis. Right off, I’m thinking you are warm tone, possibly a spring. That warm pastel printed top was most flattering.
I'm a certified color analyst/cosmetologist and I think Cathy is a cool season. It's harder to tell on a video, but she wouldn't look so good in the pinks and rose colors of she were a warm season. My guess is she is a summer. Again, video lighting can be deceiving.
