Marnie, I’ve been watching you for years from Austin! I just love your style. I’m a few years older than you with 2 boys in college and appreciate you offering real life style options ❤
Let me share, I wear an old sweatshirt to the hairdressers for my hair color appointments. It has every color of the rooms I’ve painted on it and yes a smudge of hair color at the back collar area. Which doesn’t bother me in the least. (In summer it’s a Red Sox T-shirt) My stylist appreciates it because she’s less stressed about the color bleeding into my top. I love running errands afterwards in my “work” sweatshirt and jeans and having a fabulous hair day!
I love you designed an outfit around cowboy boots. They are an essential for me all year round and I style them with ruffle dresses just like this and skinny jeans as well. Thanks for sharing! 🤠
Oh Marnie - THANK YOU for your MIDI video a while back. I now use them and it’s changed my life in ways I wasn’t expecting. I am a somewhat newer subscriber and I totally love your channel. Thank you!!
Much fun! Love your suggestions with how you wear the items as well as how else they can be worn. I did buy the belt in Black and Brown during Prime Days 😊.
Love all these outfits & your styling tips are always right on point. You look fabulous in each & every one. Thank you Marnie for all you share with us & have a great week😘
Thank you so much for your affordable clothing. Every October I turn my hangers backwards and review a year later. What has not been worn in a year gets donated. However, this was a a huge year for me as I lost 45 lbs and everything was donated. I appreciate your suggestions and links as I move forward in a new size (xl to m/s). I also love you dress for my season (or lack of seasons) as I live close in Houston. Thank you. My husband also loves the Walmart shows . 😂
Lucchese boots are the best! My dad wore these boots for casual, formal and work. No better boot made. His influence was so great on his family that we all wear Lucchese boots. Ariat doesn’t compare.
I am loving your pieces. Unfortunately I am 76 years old. Many of your items are for slightly younger than me, but do love them. I pretty much pick and pray. Love doing it. Thanks 0:150:150:15
Thank you for the MIDI information! I’ll be 52 and have had horrible anxiety and vertigo/unease. I took the leap after seeing a previous video of your journey. I can say I am so thrilled with the experience!! I am 4months in and finally sleeping thru the night with little anxiety. Every woman needs to do their due diligence, but to be informed is Everything. Thank you❤
I lOVE MY AG Jeans I got at Nordstroms! Feels like sweats! Best jeans I every bought in my 57 years of life ! I bought that purse in black! I don't know what it's a dupe for and I hope I like it ?? And yes Spanx black outfit is a win, I have bought Spanx for years. Spanx is fantastic for golf too!!! oops yours is amazon! sorry I have Spanx in this black one-spanx material cant be beat! Bought the red dress from Spanx FAB color!! the RED OMG-you should try it. I should try cognac and black together- I usually do black and burgundy.Thx for the idea !!! Thx for all the good ideas! Fall my color is navy brown, burgundy and green! With a little splash of cheetah shoes or satin skirt! I love fashion! have a blessed day Marnie
It's as if you read my mind! I went to a wedding this weekend and wore a summer dress with a jean jacket (mid-west fall weather is here). It would have looked so cute with cowboy boots but I don't have any yet. I decided to look for some thing weekend and the lucchese are absolutely what I was after. Decided to also buy the rust dress, its so cute on you. Thanks Marnie!
I love the deconstructed blazer and I’m also ordering another pair of the tencel joggers. I have a pair and I love them so much. This is another great video!
My Sunday is now complete, I got my Marnie video in! My morning getting really for church felt off without watching you today. Great video as always! I want it all. You look stunning in every outfit!
I wear jeans year round but just bought a pair of knee high cognac colored boots and I intend to wear them with skirts and dresses for fall/winter, maybe Spring, depending on weather. I only own around 4 skirts and dresses, so if I like the look and they are reasonably priced, I might buy more. 🤷🏻♀️
That’s interesting. I also have been coloring my hair for many years, I’m 66. Never have I taken off my shirt under the smock they give you to wear. I live in NY.
Hi Sue! I’m not a huge fan of embellished tees. I generally find them too “busy” for my taste, especially under a blazer. When I wear a blazer I like to keep the shirt underneath pretty simple.
The Gigi sling bag would be great for traveling and I’m thinking in crowds where there are pickpockets preying on tourists. The only thing that could make it better would be a cable in the strap to avoid it being cut off
Hi Marnie! I'm watching your videos from my home in Alabama. I enjoy your fashion and beauty picks and tips to style outfits. Do you have a favorite retailer for understated graphic tees? I have a couple from Vineyard Vines that I like. I'm looking to add some long sleeve styles that I can layer so I don't want oversize ones. Looking for classic, cotton tees with a tasteful small graphic. Thanks!
Those Ag-Ed jeans! I just discovered them a couple of months ago, and yes, they are SO amazingly soft! The price is definitely a chokepoint ($235), but Nordstrom just had them on sale ($165) a few weeks ago. Anyway, these jeans are my new fave!
I think changing out of a top into the smock at a hair salon is a Midwest thing. I grew up in a suburb of chicago, and I recall doing the same thing when I went to get my hair cut or permed. Now living in the South (Texas/Georgia/and now back to Texas) for over half my life, I have not done that. I will hang a cardigan or jacket in the changing area but no longer take off my top to put on a special smock. Just a snapped cape over my clothing.
You make my day every time you post a video. I would love to see a video on your favorite basic white t-shirts. I’m struggling to find a thick, not tight, not to short or to long white t-shirt and would love if you have any recommendations.
Great video. Watching this from the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio on a work trip. I watched your video last week about attending conferences, I’m gonna take your advice and duck out a little early and do some shopping. 😂😂😂😂
HI Marnie- For outfit #1, which of the purple colors did you order? At least on my computer, The colors available do not look like yours. Thanks in advance. Thank you!
GM Marnie, love when you do look books! 🤩Every outfit is on point. #5 is my fav 💓Cowboy boots have been on my mind especially as they go through another trend cycle. I didn’t grow up around cowboy boots. How do you pick your first pair? 🤔 I know there is a lot of history, heritage, and toughness behind this boot style🤠 I think it potentially could be a great video😃😉 Thanks again for everything you do and give, xx
I picked Lucchese because the brand has such a strong presence in Texas and in San Antonio, and honestly because my husband, Michael, has several pairs of their "dress ropers" that he would wear to court. He's the one that pretty much introduced me to the brand. This is a fashion brand-for actual riding-and my FIRST (and only) pair of Cowboy riding boots, I chose Ariat.
I too have had Lucchese boots for years. They never go out of style and NEVER wear out. I am a singer and still wear them to perform in for comfort and the “it” factor.
I tried those Chanel inspired sling backs - I bought them from either Amazon or Walmart…SO uncomfortable on the top of my foot. And, I don’t have chunky feet.
It’s long long time since I’ve done the taking the top off, lol. I see it now only like you said, when doing the chemicals etc. the high end shops where I can’t afford to go. 😅
Good Afternoon, I really enjoy your content, keep up the great work😁 I love the GiGi NY beck sling bag, but it’s out of my price range significantly. Any looks for less option to can suggest? Thanks in advance, a faithful follower.
Does the deconstructed blazer/peacoat/jacket button in the front? I'm searching for this type of casual but for winter over layers....possibly under a puff jacket.
Was your experience in downtown SanAntonio better than Dallas. We are headed to the Georgia at Texas game (house divided) and we are having second thoughts if it's dangerous. I love you in the red dress.
Are you staying in San Antonio instead of Austin? There is so much more to do in San Antonio in my opinion and it is more beautiful and we never felt unsafe there. But I have felt unsafe in downtown Austin.
@@Connie4AU my brother lives in San Antonio and my bff lives in Seguin so we won't stay in a hotel. I know Austin has gotten overridden with homelessness too!
In my opinion San Antonio has so much to see and the river walk is really fun. Austin I would visit the state capital. Walking around downown I felt was very dirty and lots of homeless hanging out.
I'm new to TH-cam, I have enjoyed your videos. I have been a bit frustrated with the "fashion" shorts" I find it difficult to find the products. I have noticed that you a pin you can click on to view and purchase the products. Great Job!
@@MsGoldgirlYes, I’ve seen it too. I worked at a medical facility during the pandemonium and people wore their SLIPPERS into the facility, bathroom, lab, etc. I always gently suggested that they take them off when they got home because it was so unsanitary.
I have purchased a lot of cashmere from Quince- recently I found several holes in one of my sweaters and now I am concerned about the rest of the cashmere I have purchased
This has nothing to do with this video, but could you show soe examples of classier, out of the house, type outfits to wear with leggings. I've not worn for quite a while and want to start. I'm over 60 but love the comfort.
I have never, ever in a salon in NJ been given something to change into. Must be a Texas thing? I've been coloring my hair for over 40 years, never once.
@@KathInNJ This started when I was in high school in the Chicago area, I salons that I’ve visited in St. Louis, LA, and all over Texas. Every one of them had multiple changing rooms to take off your shirt, hang it up, and put on a smock. I’ve been coloring/perming my hair for 40 years, and every salon I’ve been in has always been set up like this.
I live in South Florida and have going to the salon for the past 40 years. I’ve experienced both, the salons with dressing rooms where you remove your top and, the one I go to now does not have the dressing rooms.
Owned and ridden horses for 45+ years (my horse is in my profile picture) and I do NOT recommend the Lucchese boots for riding a horse. A good rider, rides with their legs (I can ride and control a horse with my reins tied and hands behind my back) and the Luucchese boots are too stiff to allow you to control a horse with your legs. Beginner trail riding you’ll be fine, serious rider, you will not see anyone ride with these. I have mostly ridden English (jumper) and have my boots custom made for me every few years, recently retired my horse and we moved to a western show barn and 90% of the riders either ride in Ariat or get their western boots custom made. For fashion, the Lucchese boots are GORGEOUS and I might even pick up a pair to wear around town.
I should have clarified what I meant-because I agree with you 100%. I meant that for “fashion” boots, the brand doesn’t matter. For riding, I always wear Ariat!!

Thanks for another great video, Marnie. I agree; casual dressing has taken over but doesn’t have to be sloppy and careless. You’ve elevated style for all women!
October 13, 2024: Tag line “Real styles for real women” fits so well for me. I believe that when we are at home get up and dress to fit in getting out unexpectably! Or a someone coming to your home unannouced. My Mom, we were a military family and I am the oldest of ten!, to go to the mail box we had to ensure our hair was combed and we were not in our pajama’s. Your video’s are always so inspiring and thank you for the time you take to make us all a bit more styled!

Thank you so much!
I love the casual navy blazer! Just ordered it!❤
Graphic tees are NOT tacky on mature women. They are fun to wear/style and are real conversation starters. 👍🏻
I’ve literally seen you style outfits with graphic tees and you’ve shared links. I’m 59 and I’m gonna keep rocking my graphic tees. 😉
I’ve been a long time watcher. I am older than you and retired. You have evolved in such a positive way. Thank you for being age inclusive.
Let me share, I wear an old sweatshirt to the hairdressers for my hair color appointments. It has every color of the rooms I’ve painted on it and yes a smudge of hair color at the back collar area. I have learned that by tailoring a graphic tee, it not only fits me better, but looks better , especially under jackets. Good ideas.
I usually wear men's t-shirts and often shorten them. Our place gets very hot and I have difficulty finding short-sleeved shirts. Silly I know.

Now living in the South (Texas/Georgia/and now back to Texas) for over half my life, I have not done that. I will hang a cardigan or jacket in the changing area but no longer take off my top to put on a special smock. Just a snapped cape over my clothing.
It is so funny how things can be so regional-but I've lived in Texas for almost 30 years and always changed out of my top!
Always used to do that years ago in Grosse Pointe, Michigan
You make my day every time you post a video. I would love to see a video on your favorite basic white t-shirts. I’m struggling to find a thick, not tight, not to short or to long white t-shirt and would love if you have any recommendations.
I did one a few years ago-I’ll have to update it.
Great video. Watching this from the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio on a work trip. I watched your video last week about attending conferences, I’m gonna take your advice and duck out a little early and do some shopping. 😂😂😂😂
I live this type of video. Hope u do more. I do follow u on Instagram but I'm on Utube more than Instagram. ❤
Love your style and thoughts❤
have you washed your cashmere sweater tee yet? would love to know how much it shrinks (most of them do)
HI Marnie- For outfit #1, which of the purple colors did you order? At least on my computer, The colors available do not look like yours. Thanks in advance. Thank you!
GM Marnie, love when you do look books! 🤩Every outfit is on point. #5 is my fav 💓Cowboy boots have been on my mind especially as they go through another trend cycle.
I didn’t grow up around cowboy boots. How do you pick your first pair? 🤔 I know there is a lot of history, heritage, and toughness behind this boot style🤠
I think it potentially could be a great video😃😉 Thanks again for everything you do and give, xx
From the packaging to the details of the bags, I think the*yutulu* shop has made reproduction an art form.
I tried those Chanel inspired sling backs - I bought them from either Amazon or Walmart…SO uncomfortable on the top of my foot. And, I don’t have chunky feet.
Can you tell me if the Quince cashmere Tee has to be washed in a special way?
Their website recommends hand wash.
I put mine in a laundry bag on delicate in cold water.
Love the sets, but what do you do when you are a large on top and small on bottom
You’ll have to find a retailer that sells the pieces separately. Many budget friendly retailers do.
It’s long long time since I’ve done the taking the top off, lol. I see it now only like you said, when doing the chemicals etc. the high end shops where I can’t afford to go. 😅
Marnie. Did you find the knit top you are wearing TTS? There is only one review and it says the top runs very small.
Are the Zina sneakers the champagne or silver color? I can't tell from the photo. Thanks!
Good Afternoon,
I really enjoy your content, keep up the great work😁
I love the GiGi NY beck sling bag, but it’s out of my price range significantly. Any looks for less option to can suggest? Thanks in advance, a faithful follower.
I’m always on the lookout for affordable dupes, so I’ll keep an eye out!
What’s your favorite white t-shirt?
Does the deconstructed blazer/peacoat/jacket button in the front? I'm searching for this type of casual but for winter over layers....possibly under a puff jacket.
Yes it buttons
I’ve never heard of anyone taking off their top to put on a smock at the hair dresser. They just put a plastic cape over our top with a towel maybe. 🤔
Neither have I but it’s a brilliant idea!
I went to one many times years ago but agree they aren’t common
When I have color put on, they ask me to wear a smock
My former hair salon used to ask us all to do that.
The one I go to has changing rooms so you change into a bathrobe-like smock to prevent your clothes being damaged by color, etc.
I’ve never seen anyone have to take their top off at a salon. I live in Indiana
Me neither. They give me a poncho that snaps at back of neck.
very strange indeed 😂
I have found here in NY many salons do this if you are getting color. They don't want anything happening to your clothes.
Would you please go to bat for the Canadians? Quince doesn't ship here and I love your choices from Quince.
Love your channel❤️
Love all of these! Thanks!
Glad you like them!
Marnie, I don’t see the link for the women’s health company you mention. Can you link, please?
😊😊Hi Marnie! Is there a link for the sweatshirt like blazer? Great video!
It’s in the description box and in the comments. Here it is again: amzlink.to/az0PVPsGNoZIj
Hi Marnie, are you a petite or regular length in the KFTK jeans? Thx
I’ve been buying them in regular.
Where did you get your reading glasses??? :)
Go Dawgs!
@@Connie4AU my brother lives in San Antonio and my bff lives in Seguin so we won't stay in a hotel. I know Austin has gotten overridden with homelessness too!
@@lbarmstrong1 I'm a TX alum but I still loooove my DAWGS. I've been trying to get Brock Bowers or Ladd McConkey to marry my daughter lol
In my opinion San Antonio has so much to see and the river walk is really fun. Austin I would visit the state capital. Walking around downown I felt was very dirty and lots of homeless hanging out.
Thank you 🙏🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Hi Marnie! What color did you get in the mock neck set?
I have it in navy and dark grey
What toner do you use for your hair?
I have no idea-I just let my stylist do her thing.
I'm new to TH-cam, I have enjoyed your videos. I have been a bit frustrated with the "fashion" shorts" I find it difficult to find the products. I have noticed that you a pin you can click on to view and purchase the products. Great Job!
Thank you so much! It’s so much easier with the “shoppable” pins-you’re right!
Hi! The link for the dolman top doesn’t work. Is there another link or will you post it on LTK?
@@shannonmarcus7973 I just checked and it’s working: go.magik.ly/ml/250b0/
Shana Tovah !
Can we please STOP wearing pj bottoms and slippers while running errands? Just throw on leggings or sweat bottoms.
Are people seriously doing that?
@@MsGoldgirl unfortunately, yes!
@@MsGoldgirlYes, I’ve seen it too. I worked at a medical facility during the pandemonium and people wore their SLIPPERS into the facility, bathroom, lab, etc. I always gently suggested that they take them off when they got home because it was so unsanitary.
Agree!!!!!!!
Lazy dressing.
Nail polish color?
It’s called Teddy Bear but it’s some random no name brand at the salon. And then it’s topped with a clear chrome coat.
I have purchased a lot of cashmere from Quince- recently I found several holes in one of my sweaters and now I am concerned about the rest of the cashmere I have purchased
Any cashmere is going to be at risk for moths-you have to store them properly.
@@MsGoldgirl it’s only a month and a half old - hanging in my closet - I will contact Quince :)
@@MOMOF9-c4v Definitely do that. They do have a 365 day return policy!
Unfortunately, MIDI does not take any form of medicare insurance. yet.
This has nothing to do with this video, but could you show soe examples of classier, out of the house, type outfits to wear with leggings. I've not worn for quite a while and want to start. I'm over 60 but love the comfort.
I’ll keep it in mind but I don’t pair “leggings” in my mind with anything but super casual outfits.
@@MsGoldgirlI agree, leggings and “classy” don’t go together.

@@MsGoldgirl Never for me in NJ. I guess we're the outlier! LOL
I live in South Florida and have going to the salon for the past 40 years. I’ve experienced both, the salons with dressing rooms where you remove your top and, the one I go to now does not have the dressing rooms.
@@MsGoldgirl I am on Long Island, NY and like @claudiakuhn2802 says...I have had both experiences. Not specifically higher end salons either.
Most people can't pay almost 400 for a purse
Can't afford 164 4 jeans either. U must b rich
