  • It has been awhile since we went on this hike but I have been very busy this summer with a number of projects. I will be catching up on the many hiking videos I still need to complete. We have a few Catskill hikes, a strange New York Video and the Adirondack Summer Trip with several hikes. This particular video was filmed in early spring.
During this hike we visit an abandoned service house for the hotels that were in the area, we walk a portion of the escarpment trail, we visit the old Cog rail location and we eat lunch at the location of the former Catskill Mountain House. We had a wonderful time.
    Hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks for the video. I always wanted to see the area where the Catskill Mountain House was, how it looks today, now got to see it and the priceless view. Too bad cool things like the Catskill Mountain House don't exist anymore, in the 1890s people had big ideas and got to build them without asshole govt standing in the way to tell them they can't or tax them out of existence. Pres General Grant once stayed there.
