Oh, one thing. You probably mention this in another video regarding tracking vocals. But my vocals were toooooo boomy and muddy. I tried all the EQ stuff you mentioned for hours. But I realized eventually the problem was mic placement. It was too low and pointed a bit too much towards my throat/chest and that was tracking waaaay to much low frequencies. Putting the mic higher and singing up into it (about nose level, or at the level of your top row of teeth) made a huge difference in allowing me to mix it into the overall production.
Hi, I'm Japanese and I enjoy your channel from Tokyo. And,I study mixing and English from your channel with English subtitles. In Japanese channel, no channels about teaching tips especially "indie rock", your channel is my milestone for making good music. Especially vocal tips videos huge help for my works. I look forward to your future videos, good luck!
Your tutorials are fantastic, man. I've been producing ALOT for about a year (I still have so much room to grow), but all of this made sense to me and I've heard echos of it from much more advance tutorials. You are dropping some fantastic advanced techniques that relate to vocals that I just haven't encountered elsewhere. Please keep it up. Your channel has great potential and you should be up there among the youtubers if you keep posting content like this. Thank you!
Great tips as usual! I know you're probably pretty well stocked with video ideas but in case you needed more, I'dlove to see something about Elliott Smith, either his vocal layering to get that unique sound, or his chord progressions
Dude i love your work, you really don’t for how long I’ve been looking for people that really like and enjoy indie music, specially indie folk. You literally make want to go and produce just as my icons, like bon iver. One little suggestion, maybe you can make a tutorial on how récord acoustic guitars for indie folk and indie folk. Some good examples o this acustic guitar are the beginning of the song euphor by Novo amor m, minessota WI by bon iver,(the guitarra appear in the middle of the song) and Holocene, these are mostly doble guitars, anyway i think that you can make a really interesting tutorial on how to record those guitars. Or if you have already made something related to please let me know, I’ll be really happy to see it! Keep doing this please ! 🤝🤪
another amazing tutorial! really like the time you put on explaining each step 🖤 i was wondering if you’ve ever tried making a vocal sound lofi-sh like on the song hunnybee by unknown mortal orchestra beacuse i’d love to see a video about it
Hi, I have noticed you have the 2.0 version of your course now. May I know if you've finally added vocal stems so one can follow step by step with all your mixing tutorials on the course? Regards
Have you done a video on a processing chain for a more belted chorus when the verses are really subtle and up close to the mic? Do you use a different chain for the chorus and verse?
I’ve been binging all your videos to help with my next ep. You’re so fire. I’d really appreciate if you were able to revisit some older stuff like pornography by Travis Scott. It has a lot of cool vocal effects I haven’t really heard emulated before. Either way keep it up bro

Hey, man, I use Studio One also... and tips on getting rid of static pops and CPU slowdowns with using a lotta plugins?

wiiiiiii thankyou
Bro thx
I'm beginner, what DAW does Cig After Sx use?
Can FL make anything like?
I don’t know what DAW Cigs After Sex uses but it’s literally irrelevant. FL should work great. Your skills are what matter, not your daw.
How do I change it from mono to stereo?
what microphone and audio interface do you have 🫡
I use the Aston Origin mic and the Apollo Twin interface
what program do you record through?
Sorry but in which site you do these things?

i can’t download it
What daw do you use ?
Studio one presonus
Sry cigarette after sex is not shoegaze 😂
Cigarettes After Sex is an American dream pop band.
Same concept
@@reverbchorusdelay dreampop is shoegaze without the distortion and fuzz basically
