If your bases are too light, glue a penny in the underside. It adds a surprising heft to plastic minis and prevents them from deep striking when someone sneezes. ;)
Very cool tutorial! You might be able to get around the styrene breaking if you heat it up in some warm water or use a little plastic cement on it before bending.
I'm going to cast mine. a simple understanding of basic casting is needed but making simple base moulds in silicon and casting in resin is pretty easy to do at home.
GW sells packs of skulls on their webstore...just go to the games workshop site and search "pack of skulls"...it apparently includes "32 individual skulls and a scenic mound of skulls"

Yeah, thanks for the tip. Will keep it in mind when trying to bend it more aggresively

I agree. Instead of spending a bunch of time designing each one you can do 10 good ones and re-use them
I have over 130 iron warriors on 25mm bases. It's probably the cheapest option too.
This is a really useful tutorial. Thanks for sharing it.

The skull in this base is part of the vargheist/crypthorror kit. But I think secret weapon and gw have packs of skulls
