When I was a teenager I listened to this song at home with my mother. Today, at 62 years old, from here, I continue to listen to and enjoy Argentine Patagonia in the same way, although she is no longer with me, she lives in my heart.
Over the course of my 57 years on this planet I have encountered many forms of music and was a huge 80's music lover, but also during those years I'd hear this song every now and then on the radio at work, or while driving, and it never really dawned on me how incredible this song actually is until a few years ago as my tastes in music became more refined. Now I am proud to say that this song is probably my all time favourite, and I have requested it be played at my funeral when that time comes.
✨️ This song is impressively cinematic!!!...It will live forever in our hearts, as part of the wonderful soundtrack that has inspired our lives. By composing "MUSIC" in 1976, you had undoubtedly already reached heaven. Thank you so much, John, and happy journey back to the stars ✨️ #JohnMiles #Music
Oh my god! Tears in my eyes! This song will ever be one of my favourites! Wanted to see you at "Night of the Proms" in Munich! Never Again! R.I.P. Music was my first love too and will be the last!

I’m a 75 year old rock and blues fan this fabulous song was my guilty secret first time I’ve seen and heard it live absolutely amazing. I didn’t know john had passed away the heavenly choir have a new star. From Glasgow Scotland 🏴
Sad news so .... this night, I don’t know why, I needed to listen to this fantastic song again . 30 years as radio host, this song is my hymn . What would we do without music ? In radio, I always needed to show that we mustn’t limit us to the music of our generation . In all the times, we can find musics bringing us pleasure . Thank you Mr Miles for singing that ...for ever . Rip
RIP John Miles... I bought the album 'Stranger in the city' in the late 1970's - it was and still is a great album. Music of the past keeps me going in these troubled times...

OMG. So sad that we lost this fine musician and songwriter in 2021. I believe he was treated contemptibly by the music industry in Britain as described so accurately some years ago by Ian Gilbey in 'Electronics & Music Maker':- "In the world of Rock music, there can be no greater travesty than the way John Miles' music has been ignored, especially by the weekly music press. Musical skill has never been high on their list of pre-requisites for stardom and as soon as John's fifteen minutes of fame had terminated in the mid-Seventies, the shutters came down with a resounding bang. 'Passe' and 'old-fashioned' were the usual glib diatribes flung insultingly in Mr. Miles' direction with every subsequent record release, yet to those prepared to listen, each and every album contained material that consolidated his status as an exceptional songwriting talent." This could also be said for a number of UK artists like Alan Parsons (who worked and collaborated with Miles for several years) who didn't really get recognition or praise from their home, but thankfully more discerning and music orientated audiences in other countries gave them the adulation they deserved. Thankfully, this beautiful song lives on. Thank you for putting this out.

The only thing wrong with this song, it's not long enough.
