I can safely say I am so glad to be finished with college and out in the field 🤣. Did you end up taking any job offers? Great video & good luck.

    Damn bro, you gotta take thermo? 😂
    Anyway, i’d like to share if it’s ok:
    I’m a second year (sophomore) EE at GATech.
    Fall 2020 (rn) I am taking:
    A Circuit Analysis class
    A Digital Design Lab class
    A Programming Hardware/Software Systems Class
    An EE-Specific Statistics Class
    And a Humanity
    I’d say the biggest worry I have about the future is my Microelectonic Circuits/Lab class. My advisor & some friends said I should probably take it next semester, but it’s a hell of a class.
    At Georgia Tech, this class is literally the only reason some kids will switch from EE to CompE, just to avoid this class. It is the hardest class in the department by far.
    Nice video btw!

    I recently started working in construction this summer to pay for my Fall semester classes and they offered me a job as an electrician for the next summer. Do you think this job will help me understand and prepare me a little bit on how electrical engineers work? I know electricians and electrical engineers are two different jobs but I am wondering if this job will give me a small perspective on what they deal with and the work environment.

    • @MackGOfficial
      @MackGOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Andreyy For sure. It should give you some valuable knowledge plus it looks good on a resume. EE is a very broad degree so you could end up doing something completely different but either way this should give you some good experience that you can apply to your education.

    • @brimmed
      @brimmed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is the next summer so you're probably already there. But coming from a EE who's looked like a total dumb ass multiple times when talking to construction crews and electricians, field work is incredibly valuable. Even just things like being able to read bolt patterns/sizing, knowing construction terminology, names of different bolts/nuts etc

    Is that EE lounge some kind of designated area where EE students tend to hang around (I'm not super familiar with the american unis)
    In my university we have different guilds for different fields and they have their own guild rooms where people of that field often spend time together. Most of the guild rooms are underground in the air raid shelters(or whatever you call them) so the views are not quite as nice lol
    Personally I rarely spend time there(or spent before the corona) as I was waiting for my classes outside the halls most of the time.

I want to transfer to one of the engineering schools near me. These are illinois institue of technology and UIC. Do you have any suggestions? Currently taking precalc, intro to programming, chemistry, and physics to catch up with what i should have taken already. I have no been exposed to any sort of calc btw. • @nosociallifeman2227

    I have a question, I’m a sophomore and I’m going to be a junior In highschool next year. I’m applying to 9-11 universities after my junior year ends and before my senior year, but I was wondering how much math is involved in EE? Because math is my weakest subject yet I want to do electrical engineering or computer engineering but I’m leaning to EE because it is similar to computer engineering but with less math and more hands on stuff from what I have seen. Personally I want EE or computer engineering because that is the future of our country and society, I want to be apart of that and personally I grew up playing video games and messing around with electronics on afew occasions and I love electronics and power and cool stuff like that. Also EE and CE along with computer science are going to boom in the coming years and the growth of those three will keep growing and not stop, so that’s another reason why I want to do EE or CE. But if you could please tell me how much math is involved and how many courses I would have to take on the math side of things once I get to university, then it would be much appreciated.

    • @MackGOfficial
      @MackGOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No social life Man what’s up man. Unfortunately, you are going to have to do a lot of math with a engineering degree. You will take calculus 1,2,3, and differential equations. You will need to carry the basics of these courses through the rest of your engineering classes.

    • @nosociallifeman2227
      @nosociallifeman2227 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MackGZ ah ok Thankyou, no worries. I think as long as it pays off and makes 6 digit figures then I’m fine with doing it, I’m just not that good at math 😆. But I’m sure if I apply myself I will get better at it and do well in math.

    • @nosociallifeman2227
      @nosociallifeman2227 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Job environment is different for everybody because of the broad range of jobs you can get with EE. With studying I have no idea about med, but you will be dedicating a lot of time to school and studying with EE
