When I used missle rain and the song drops it was an amazing feeling. This game is so wonderful. One of the best hidden gems in PS4. I hope more people can enjoy it.
Just started playing it on the Switch, and I'm insanely addicted to it. Right now, I'm at wave 3 and have cleared about 3 characters. The story is just so damn cool, and the battle with this song was amazing. Definitely one of the best moments I've ever experienced in a video game.
@@Reruro It's in my playlist, such a banger of a song that plays during a world-ending battle. The juxtaposition between this song and the battle is what makes this moment so amazing.
@@cloud1stclass372 13 Sentinels is one of those rare games where it actually manages to tie up all loose ends despite having so much elements in it that from a story writing perspective should be a mess but they managed to make it all fit and make sense which makes it a really well thought out and well drafted love story to the entire sci-fi genre as a whole
@@awkwardweebs7756 I doubt I’ll ever play a game like that again. Didn’t the director already said there’s no way he’s even attempting it again? Incredible.
This song is so legit i spent hours with it on repeat on Shu Amiguchis character select screen in the background. I love how quiet it was and he taps is foot slowly, plus the tv images it just meshes so well. Seriously gave me Yu Yu Hakusho vibes as the intro is pretty similar.
I didn’t notice that’s what was playing in the background. On his screen until reading this. I scrolled through the characters too much to sit and listen to anything. Great find.
Me too. I just had my switch laying in my lap with his character selected and honestly it sounds better quiet with the TV than the full version. However when it plays in the game during the main battle towards the last fight it hits different
Just played this game as my first official visual novel and if this is top tier story telling then I wish I could forget it and play it like it's my first time again
It first played in area 2 stage 10 if I recall but it really felt like a final boss fight. I’m only just about reaching the climax of the story but I’m loving the game so far, the characters are really well written and the art is phenomenal
@@awkwardweebs7756 I think Shu has two summons. His initial accidental one, and then a second when he's trying to shift. Admittedly, the second doesn't have as much of an emotional impact. I do remember Yuki's also being a bit rushed, considering it's occurring during one of the destruction battles. Regardless, I'm glad you included everyone else's!
This game was amazing. I highly recommend anyone who is watching the video to play it for yourself if you haven't because the experience of playing this game is worth it
It was, finished it in about a couple weeks and got 100% of all the entries. The story was very well thought out and I had great fun. Beat it last spring on the switch but I may buy it again for PS4 for trophies.

2-10 with this playing in the background was a magical gaming moment that I won't forget for quite some time.

Just finished this game recently. LOVED it so much
And I loved the destruction battle where this song played.
Yeah I consider this another masterpiece from Vanillaware like Odin Sphere
@@awkwardweebs7756 I personally thought this blew Odin Sphere away. This game is a legitimate 10/10 masterpiece.

Vanillaware has a great track record, probably will have another masterpiece like 13 sentinels out in maybe a decade

I do appreciate that you used the least spoiler clips as possible and the most hype parts.
Thank you, I edited them that way because I wanted to avoid the dialogue causing spoilers
Finished the game about 5 minutes ago. It's absolutely amazing!
They nail the 1990 vibes so well with this track. I'd loved to have also heard Kisaragi's 'original' version in the 2025 style to compare the two.
Great Game, I'm a turret abuser lol with the green flying things with homing that cause distress
Just finished this game ..... a masterpiece
This song makes me feel nostalgic for a summer break in Japan that I never had
This song and New Days from Persona 4
Thats the power of music like J-pop, city-pop and vaporwave...
It's pure artificial nostalgia, and I am hooked on it like a drug
the music popping off at the end of wave 2 was so badass
I just finished this game yesterday. I loved it so much.
A man of culture you are
Masterpiece of a game.
Area 2 Wave 10
"you must think you're such a badass" uhh yeah thats cause he is Tomi
Just played this game as my first official visual novel and if this is top tier story telling then I wish I could forget it and play it like it's my first time again
Best game i ever play and all the si-fi fiction and The Matrix elements best story ever and always leaving you on the edge of your seat
one of the best video game script ever
This song is kind of similar to 90s 2000s anime songs. It's kind of nostalgic especially at 0:36 and 2:03.
That's what they're going for.
Straight up MACROSS reference mang
@@Mondoness Exactly, its a perfect nod to the "Do you remember love?" Climax and just as effective. They knew what they were doing.

It really is a beautiful game, you can feel the passion and love of the genre from the developers
Don’t stop singing until you leave orbit!
I remember getting so freaking AMPED during the fight this played. Freaking massacred the D forces
I was going to say that Shu's was missed out, but he activated his sentinel a little too early... (Still laughed at that)
I wanted to put in everyone but Shu and Yuki's kinda lack the impact the others had summoning their sentinels.

oh i wish more games like this one...
I'm in love with Miyuki Inaba 😍
Time to put on a show for Yuki-chan!
I don’t give a shit about my limits. 😭😭😭😭
字幕笑ったwww
wonderfull ç_ç
日本人からすると、字幕結構違うかも。
Parts of it remind me of Colors, from Code Geass.
Not me trying to actually sing this song despite knowing zero Japanese
haaaannndsssssssss down best song in the entire gameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I love this video but I hate the wrong lyrics.
NA MI NO DU RE
This version sounds different from the one in the game. Does anyone know where you can listen to or find that version?
