I'm kinda late to the party but HOLY FUCK this absolutely made me lose my shit the moment it started playing. Amiguchi requested her to sing and I was like "no it can't be" and then I was fucking smashing kaijus with the biggest smile on my face, almost teary eyed. What a masterpiece of a game. And then once it's just me and the boss...she's gone. We're reminded of the hopeless situation we're in. It's a beautiful song buff that transcends the 4th wall, this REALLY got me. Welp that being said I one shotted the poor boss guy with a Demolisher blade +5 with inhibitor released and a back attack, which did more than 20k damage. Nenji Ogata is my personal GOAT.
The moment this started playing instead of a normal battle theme theme I lost my mind. The moment the song stopped and started playing a different song, I lost it again.
When I saw how little time had passed between this battle and the first one, my eyes almost popped out of my head when Miyuki said she’d be gone for 14 hours lol
@@pollolor15 Oh I was thinking of the time when Amiguchi's TV suddenly turned itself on in the middle of the night. It gave a very eerie and spooky feeling back then.
It blows me away how a song that sounds this positive can still get my chest to tighten up. Absolutly incredible song for one of the best games ever made
One of the defining things about J-pop is actually making a sad, mellow sounding melody and combining it with an upbeat tempo and energy. If you just slow this down and ask the singer to sing it in a different way, think about how that would sound, and it'll make sense. Also of course the circumstances in the game is part of it too haha
Totally out of the blue, this became one of my favourite moments in video games. Up to that point, we hear electronic beats and synths that build a feeling of urgency and when "Seaside Vacation" kicks in we get 200% of anime feels. While I'm not a big anime fan, I do enjoy moments like in Gunbuster's (pre Evangelion Anno's anime) episode 5, where during a very important fight, where at stake is existence of humaniy "Top o Nerae (Aim for the top)" kicks in and pumps up the spectacle even more. These two moments are so similar to each other and instead of giving up the usual doom and gloom (cool sounding doom and gloom tho) we get optimism, a moment of carefree existence for main characters. Took me a lot of time to complete 13 Sentinels due to how the story is structured, but I am glad I did.
I like this song, unfortunetely when i played the mission in which it plays killer-queen-takamiya just went directly towars that keystone enemy and quadraspiked it to death. Heard mabye 40 seconds of that song in total, lol

The moment this song kicks in, is honestly one of the best moments in a game ever
I feel like it should have played at the final boss tbh but it is great as it stands!
The moment it kicks in the end is magical as well 😢
@@willc3799 I think it's great where it is, the finale theme being a remix of the title theme was super worth it tbh

14 Hours Guys We need to Hold them Back for 14 Hours
The pilots: My day be so fine, then boom, we have to hold them back for 14 hours.
Hours, days, it doesn't matter. We'll hold the line
For the one that will keep singing for us on the other side, our limits won't be anything!
in my head canon, zone 4 are those 14 hours, but from another probe in one of the "infinite possibilities"

Still trying to process this damn game 6 months after I finished it
I just finished it an hour ago and it's definitely gonna be occupying my thoughts for awhile.
That sounds like a great game to me
@@amel_lemouri It is an incredible game, one of my best experiences in videogames for sure
I just finished it too. This game is nuts
It makes a lot more sense when you rewatch the events in "order" and read most of the mystery files.

I just remember the credits and the battle, what part am I missing?
the ending GOD DAMN IT! Soooooo good

Me too! It felt sooo intense in that context. It's wild that the contrast makes the mood of a song turns 180.

Lovely song. Sad when it ends though as that means over twelve hours of hell are ahead for our brave warriors
on my first playthrough, the beat dropped when i used Missile Rain. i bawled. this game's so beautiful at every moment.
Just platinum the game my favorite song!!!🎉

This probably would have been a better moment if limiter released Hijiyama hadn't sprinted across the map and melted the boss in 20 seconds.

I think that the battle version only repeats the first half, looping before it gets to the quiet part. That's probably why it sounds different.
