  • It has recently been a tough journey as I navigate life during this full blown pandemic and yet not showing signs of abating anytime soon.
I have been living in Singapore for 7years now and I thought I have seen every good place in it. But I was wrong !I realised I have never seen the inner beauty of this wonderful country .The beauty that you cannot find in any tourist maps or guide!
Singapore is a very fast moving country and I was astounded to see this untouched 85 hectares rainforest in Clementi . This rainforest mesmerised me ! I have found a heritage inside it! What made it more interesting is the abandoned railway built in 1903. We found a well engineered rustic red beams supporting the canals .The canal tunnel with its discoloured bricks made it even more nostalgic. The wonder of nature of the century old tree roots creeping and clinging around the beams and solid bricks,It was all naturally made!
I didn’t mind stepping in the streams of water soaking my newly bought hiking shoe in the mud. It was a great experience having been immersed in the symphony of nature. It was a worthy 3 hr hiking ! (Plus the photography) thank God we didn’t get lost.We started the journey with a prayer.
We ended up praising God with His wonderful creation!
