Well that was easy enough. Still waiting on a new bulb for my Toshiba DLP. I hope that's the problem - I rebuilt the ballast board with a Toshiba kit thinking that was the problem since they are known to fail but all the replaced components tested good. 🙄 I was told that the bulb needs to be OEM only and they have a shelf life. I tried using a bulb that I purchased 2 years ago as a backup & it didn't work. Supposedly these bulbs are pressurized and there is a sensor in the TV, if the bulb goes below a certain threshold (leaks over time) it won't work even if it was never used. 😲
UPDATE - I was given the wrong info. Supposedly there is a 'timer module' connected with the bulb and once the bulb reaches a certain amount of hours, it shuts off. I believe this is a safety
feature. I changed just the bulb with a new bulb only, but don't know how to reset the timer module, I'm sure there is a way. The new bulb doesn't work because the timer module retains the expired amount unless it is reset. 🙄 Never had a bulb issue until now, bulbs for this TV are getting harder to find and expensive. Might have to upgrade my TV sooner than I wanted to.🙁

@@SOSfixElectronics I use the 150w. It has a high/low feature. Several TV techs I have watched say that the only bulbs that work for Toshiba DLP's are OEM, not the cheaper ones, and that the bulb needs to be properly calibrated to work. I have a new OEM bulb due here tomorrow and will know if that is true. According to the LED error code the TV displays, the manual says the bulb is the issue.
