The batmobile have always been my favourite corgi car of all time. Now today the only batmobile 1966 car i got now is the hotwheels elite 1.43 scale batmobile. I was lucky to get that one but this model 1966 batmobile by hotwheels elite is been discounted. However i still love the corgi vision of the batmobile.
I just had a peek at my Corgis for the heck of it. When I was a kid my grandmother made me play with them inside and put all the parts back in the box when I was done. So, I have all the boxes as well as all the little pieces. The box on my Batmobile says "Copyright 1979" on it. The coolest piece though is probably the extra bad guy from the James Bond Aston Martin DB5. My grandmother was sure I'd lose the original one (I never did) so she sent away for a spare replacement when she bought me the car. I still have it sealed in the envelope it came in from the UK.
I've just bought a 1966 glossy version looks great but the aerial has been cut at some point which is a shame. So difficult to find a decent unrestored version of these cars. Great video thanks.
Hey thanks for this. I just found a 1966 Batmobile 267 at a thrift shop but really can't tell if it's matte black or not. No figures though and the siren and ariel are missing. Any more tips on telling the difference as I don't have anything to compare it to.
Hey i have one of these, pretty sure it's a glossy black, the colour of the wheel spokes are silver. I have both the batman and robin. I also have another figure with this set. Looks like a detective wearing blue hat and suit and is holding a pointing a hand gun. Not sure who this is as i havent seen this figure with any sets i can see online.

I bought a satin original for £20 and the finish is pretty much immaculate

I believe that the guy who built the Batmobile was George Barris, not George Burgiss.
