- The video zooms out from Garching, the location of ESO's headquarters, out to Germany, beyond Europe and the Earth, out past the solar system and our Milky Way galaxy, and finally reaching a point where every single point of light flashing by is an entire galaxy.
The Earth was once believed to be the center of the Universe. Due to the apparent movements of the Sun and planets in relation to their viewpoint, ancient scientists insisted that the Earth remained static, whilst other celestial bodies travelled in circular orbits around it. Eventually, the view that the Sun was at the centre of the universe was postulated by Copernicus, though this is also not the case.

Agreed, if you look at the earth from the outside you realize how close we all are. It’s not only our faults, it’s the way we’ve been turned against each other that stops us from improving. Society, politics, race, etc our differences are being used against us. Because it is known that unity and love are the most powerful things one can yield, so to prevent that we are blinded and controlled. Ever notice how in school they only teach you about our own solar system. They barely ever explain how big the universe truly is. If we realized how powerful this planet would be as one, it would petrify the ones in control. It’s what they teach us in movies specifically Marvel, DC, and Disney. The messages usually state that when WE come together WE are unstoppable. Although, when WE fight against each other the real problem we are trying to defeat is getting away from our hands. Ever see Incredibles 2? The villain turns the superhero’s against each other was a distraction to accomplish her plan.
Actually that just makes me more humble and accept that there's a greater reality beyond us. Valuing ourselves too highly leads to disappointment especially when it's gone.

My Guy Guy My Well, she’s not wrong. If the universe is possibly infinite, a piece of paper that determines “how smart you are” just seems sort of silly. Tests are man made, and man is an atom in the face of infinity. So it’s sad that this world mainly makes us focus on tests and grades. It’s like confining the human race into what one species on a minuscule rock planet believe to be “smart”. Humans were never meant to fit in one category, if we were we’d probably be robotic creatures, with the same faces, the same words, the same genetic make up, and the same brains. Yes, tests are important, but not as life threatening as people try to make them seem.

Usually nowadays it’s you meet someone new and within the first few months or less of knowing each other you start dating. Once you build that friendship of years+, they usually just want to stay friends. In many aspects, friendships are much better than relationship. Such as if you’re in a relationship and it doesn’t go well, they move on from you. While as if you support someone in a relationship with someone else, who’s been your friend for a while, it continues to show your loyalty and respect towards them, knowing that you will be there if anything goes wrong for them. There’s many different outcomes for everyone, but we are all the same in the sense of continuing friendships and being able to support someone rather than keep wanting more out of them or letting yourself get hurt over certain outcomes. Your continuation of support and staying friends will bring just as much joy as being in a relationship if not more.

No one will ever have a perfect life where everything goes as planned, but everything happens for a reason. G here is a universal gravitational constant which is equal to 6.67408×10-11Nm2/kg2. If this value increases by 10^-58 the whole universe will collapse and if it decreases by the same amount, universal bodies would scatter and disappear. I don't have enough faith to say another universe created this universe in such mind blowing precession.
Even if there was only one planet in every 10 galaxies that supported intelligent life that would still mean there are 20 Billion planets with intelligent life in the universe. That's how small we truly are compared to what exists out there.

It genuinely surprises me that most people still think we are completely alone in this huge universe.
I think whether there is other life or not (equally terrifying and extremely possible); what’s scarier is that we would still be so small and insignificant that the utter size and expansion of the Universe and what else it transcends is beyond our comprehension. I think the fact that the Universe itself as we know it could just be another speck in an ocean of Universes makes it terrifying beyond reason.

This was amazing. One of the best ones I've seen. I only wish that before we got to the Sun, they added in zoom fly bys of our planets. Then, the next Star, then Zoom Flybys of its planets. Then more stars, and their planets, THEN our Milky Way. Then Multiple Galaxies, Then Clusters, then Groups of Clusters, to ALL Galaxies. It's very similar, but subtly more expansive.

Everyone always talks about how small and insignificant we are compared to the universe, but in all reality humans are a once in a million thing. We are special as a species despite all our flaws. The fact that we know about the universe and it’s insane incomprehensible vastness proves how worthy we are, no matter how small. The fact that we wonder about existence and why everything is here and how it happened proves it.
We may be small and have our flaws but humans are incredible. It’s insane to even think about how far we’ve come, from using sticks and rocks in the wild to seeing the infinite cosmos and wondering what’s out there.
The universe is so huge and mind boggling that we are like less than a spec of dust under a microscope, but the fact that we know that shows how impressive we are as a species.
Trust me, you may think we are impressive but we havent even touched the capabilities of a civilisation, there is intelligent life out there which could literally control planets, and have their entire solar system in their hands, every planet is connected by structures,we have a long way to go before we are called impressive, humans arent that special.
