Today Fedora 40 was released and everything just worked out of the box. I think Fedora 39 was missing a driver or two

I am trying to chose between these two laptops right now! Both seem to have great specs for what I am looking for. Does either of them "feel" more premium? I am coming from an XPS 9300 Developer Edition and have been impressed by the build quality of that machine over the last four years but am interested in the power efficiency of the AMD chip on Framework 13 or the dedicated linux support from System76.

The System76 is almost unbelievably light, whereas the Framework is more rigid and you can definitely feel the metal

      Hi @-yaminokaze4475.
I’ve-been-comparing both laptops (the ones from System76 and the ones from Framework) and I can honestly-say I think I’m going to go for the System76 one.
For starters, the System76 one has Coreboot*.
And it (the Coreboot on the System76 laptops) have (at-least this is my understanding [based-on what I have read on their website]) LIFETIME updates for-Coreboot (whereas, NovaCustom?, only-has updates for-4-years for the Coreboot on THEIR laptops).
Secondly?, I’ve-heard lots-of-people having problems (especially the-“feel”) of the-keyboards on the Framework laptops. Whereas System76? Close to Zero.
Thirdly? Tech-Support is physically in-the-U.S. Not in China somewhere (or some other country).
      Also?: The-laptops are-assembled in the-U.S., *NOT* CHINA.
Fourthly?, you can repair-and/or-replace-components in-your System76 laptop (just-like you-can also-do in the Framework), *WITHOUT* voiding the warranty.
Fifthly? The laptops are built “from the get-go” to work with Linux. Even Linux-distributions that aren’t “preinstalled” at the-System76-offices.
(I talked-to several-people at System76 (because I wanted to use a Linux-distribution that WAS-*NOT* Ubuntu NOR System76’s PopOS), and they told-me that, even-though they *TEST* all-their-laptops-that-they-sell on Ubuntu and PopOS, and that’s the Linux-distributions they *GUARANTEE* will work, *any* Linux distribution should-work just-fine (like my EndeavourOS, or Garuda Linux or Arch Linux, or Debian, or Linux-Mint, or PeppermintOS, or RebornOS, etc etc), because they-all-utilize the *same* Linux kernel).
Sixthly?, by buying local and/or [by buying-from and/or] supporting a local company, we’re supporting the *LOCAL* economy.
      *(“Coreboot” is a non-proprietary lightweight & open-source BIOS)
