Timothy Corrigan is by far my favorite designer.🥰 And like Tim’s, my dining room has two functions: dining and library.
It's a great multipurpose concept!
I think Mario Buatta, Tim Corrigan and, Alex Pappachrisditis are three of the most talented Male Interior Designers still with us today. Although each is based on a factor of European Design each have their own unique style.. Each man full of enormous talent and so much fun and great sense of humor. If they gave "Academy Awards for Architecture aTheir n Design each would be in the all time Hall of Fame.. I love them all and each of them love their gardens which are extentions of the interiors.. Bravo to them All...Centuries from now they will see the work of these men and marvel at their talent. I almost forgot Howard Slatkin. He belongs in this group also..I run out of descriptive adjectives to describe their talents,,,,,lol ( Seldom am i at a loss for words..lol )
All so talented but sadly Mario is no longer with us. His possessions coming to Sotheby's next month.
@@quintessenceblg I just found out about Mario and i mourn his loss. Sadly we are losing our most talented Architects and Designers now because of age and assorted health issues. But other talented ones are rising up to be taken seriously in times to come. Unfortunately i know of no one who can do what Mark Hampton or Mario did so effortlessly. Alexa Hampton is also very talented but when it comes to English country Style those two were the American Masters who studied with the "originators of English Country Style "Colfax and Fowler' for starters..And they both understood color. light and how and when to use it.. Hampton was the more intellectual student of the two with many years of study behind him. But they were the Masters and as Mark will always be missed and studied so will Mario. I absolutely love his work and i miss him already, At 81 I will not go to the Auction but if i were younger i would be there front and center!!!! The two of them will be decorating Heaven now together as the formidable twosome lol,,,God Bless their souls...My educational resume is loaded with Architecture and Design and if i were more active in the field today i would try to see that the work of these two men are taught in all schools of Architecture and Design in America. Period!!!! I would love to be a little mouse at Mario's auction. lol lol, Know he will be observing it from Heaven .....

My eyes were darting around trying to soak up as much details as possible. His French chateau is like a dream. I wish I could apprentice under someone like Tim, I'm so very sure he could help anyone learn how to express themselves through interior design. In doing so could you imagine how comfortable, relaxed and happy people would be after returning home after a long day?
Tim is a true talent and generous person you would adore!

Mostly, Timothy is a super kind and warm person. Many of the "new rich" people are fake and pretentious. This man has a class which is easy to spot, but hard to find. Beautiful house and so different than the one in France. I'm delighted! ❤️

What a remarkable arrangement that a designer can work with his own childhood home! And what Timothy Corrigan did with it: wow! Of the Quintessence videos I've seen so, and that's quite a few, Timothy Corrigan's homes are my favorites. I live in an efficiency apartment with a bathroom so small I can touch the walls without extending my arms all the way. I bet Timothy could make even this tiny place look sensational.

I have been streaming Quintessence for days now, hoping to absorb through osmosis/exposure the incredible varied senses of style you share, so I am not keeping all of the names straignt. Corrigan--what a force! His passion and knowledge seem boundless, as does his enthusiasm for sharing. While his aesthetic is incredibly elegant and refined, it is also warm and inviting, much as he strikes me.

If it was my house I would have painted it an off-white and then had a painter draw like leaves and flowers and all kind of beautiful things on some of the walls. it would have really brought out the room you didn't have to do it in every room but it would have looked really nice in some rooms

This video is his former house in LA. But yes, he sold the last chateau and is working on a new one! We have done two videos about it so far!
What a wonderful host -- and his home is truly gorgeous!! Very interesting to hear the he had walls replaced and doorways narrowed to create a better decorating space! And the kitchen is divine!
